Not much has changed in the views of the members here. Fury to win and I cannot blame them for that view, I think Fury will win again whenever the fight takes place.

Usually boxing fans are knowledgeable and they know that Wilder doesn't have a chance to win the trilogy and it seems that he is just after the money here, that's why he chooses to go right away and fight Fury. However, time is on his side right now, with the whole pandemic crisis, it will give him more time to train. But I don't think the outcome will be different though. Fury will still win regardless it will be held in July this year or July 2021.

Tyson Fury is clear winner for me.
He has bigger heart and he is smarter than Wilder.
Only question I have is will this fight even happen in that time... and I have my doubts because of current condition in the world

This Fury-Wilder third fight is originally scheduled on July 18, 2020 which is a little over three months from now and with things going around in the US, i don't think that this fight will push through as plan. All of the scheduled fights in Vegas has been cancelled/suspended and i think this fight is not exempted from postponement.

Perhaps though, he has donated large sums of money already, but it was broadcast by any media outlet.
Probably because people with money, it's expected that they will donate money to help in this global crisis.
Not all people also wants to publicly tell that they are donating money, some just want to keep it silent or on their own as it would not change anything.
I admire people who donated but they don't want to be known in public, I feel they are more sincere and they don't want to be popular or be a hero publicly.

Maybe we should expect more from the Fury, anyway, at least he has his own way to help the front-liners. And he also gives sound advise to everyone, and it's true, no one is immune to this virus, there's no such thing as invincibility to this pandemic, anyone can get infected.

It's very true that no one is invincible to this virus bro and Fury have felt that maybe because he lost friends or love ones to this disease. That maybe the reason why he want this virus to stop spreading and helping those in the front line.

Also, he got the money to help in this battle and i do hope that people in Europe will heed the call to just stay at home during this time.

He is capable to help financially so he is doing his thing now, I think he has a kind heart.

Fury from UK and Wilder from US, both countries are affected so much with this virus, can't even think when this will stop as the number of is still growing despite the measures they are doing, with this, the front liners life is more at risk as they can't stay home, they need to do their job to help these infected people.

If you read the article though, there was no financial contributions from Fury, what he did is to give away hydrating water, in which he is being sponsored to. But as I have said, it's better that just sitting around. Perhaps though, he has donated large sums of money already, but it was broadcast by any media outlet.

It's pretty obvious that no one is invincible, well healthy body has one advantage specially sport personalities because of their healthy lifestyle, and there are reports that even average Joe can also recover, majority the problem is that infection rate, and it's easy that you will get it no matter who you are. But kudos for Fury yes it might be small gesture on his part but still a good move on his end, instead of doing nothing.

Just some minor updates on Fury specially regarding the Covid-19 situation in his native country.

Fury: Coronavirus Can Take Anyone Out, Regardless of How Invincible We Feel

Quote
As previously reported by BoxingScene.com,  Fury is providing free drinks to NHS workers staying at Hotel Football in Manchester. Fury, along with his sponsor Wow Hydrate, are providing thousands of hydration drinks to NHS workers.

"The coronavirus is the biggest threat this country has faced in a long time. Our best defence against it is to get people to stay indoors. It's not just a danger to older and vulnerable people. It can take anyone out, regardless of how invincible we feel," Fury stated.

"So I'm asking you, if you want to help me fight the coronavirus, please stay at home. It's the only way we can stop the virus from spreading. Protect our NHS and save thousands of lives across the country.

"Please listen to this advice and stay home, save lives and protect the NHS. All the best, God bless, see you all soon."

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
So they made 64-68 million from pay per view and that's just American TV buys. Doesn't account for the rest of the world and all the money from the digital streaming platforms like Dazn. The fight will likely either just get pushed back or fight behind closed doors but losing the gate receipts from the fight is a drop in the ocean.
Considering there are no other sporting events during these period if UFC or boxing could come up with fights behind closed doors they will earn more money as more people will be buying the fights globally as they have no other sporting events to watch and it will be a huge success but i do not think the fight taking place in US or Europe but Saudi government or similar government might allow these fights.
I have not really thought about this in that light, even if the fight takes place with no public they are not really sacrificing a lot of money and it could be argued it could be even more profitable as more people have to pay to watch the fight in PPV under the current circumstances, besides the nature of boxing makes it so that the only people that will be exposing themselves to the corona virus will be the fighters since everyone else can take the right precautions, and as long as both of them were cleared a day or two before the fight of having contracted the virus the risk should be minimal for both of them.

~16,000 tickets generated more than 16.9 million? That's more than $1,000 per ticket?

That's crazy.

Well the ticket prices will vary. Even nosebleeds will have probably set you back $500, but ringside seats  probably go for tens of thousands, maybe even much more for the very premium ones.

But even still, 16.9 million isn't even enough to pay for the pure of the main card fighters, so they must make the majority of their revenue from stream purchases.

I think they're going to need to double the cost of the PPV if they're going to keep running these fights, even if behind closed doors.

Not unrealistic considering Mayweather has charged $75 for a PPV before.

They do make most of their money from TV, and as I said before, the actual gate receipts are peanuts. They'll save a lot of money having the fight behind closed doors because they won't have to pay all extra staff and security that a live fight needs. The Pay per view fight was $80 in the US and £25 in the UK which was either the highest it's ever been in the UK or matched the Joshua/Ruiz rematch price a few months before. The money from fights is in the distribution rights and the total they'll make will be insane and it's why these big boxing fights are so lucrative.

I cannot imagine that this fight will continue even if there is a Pandemic  going on even if there are lower infections but no vaccine it will certainly harm the ticket sales, pay per view could be good but the live ticket sales always have an impact on the revenue of a fight, so we'll see there is a possibility of postponement based on how things will be in terms of this Pandemic.

Ticket sales from the actual venue are peanuts compared to the TV rights and I'm thinking if the world is still in lock-down then then they pay per view will go through the roof.

DuBoef told ESPN that the bout, which saw a sell-out crowd of 15,816 pack into the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, generated just north of US$16.9 million in ticket revenue, dwarfing the reported US$3.5 million gate receipts from the first fight.

Tyson Fury’s victory over Deontay Wilder on Saturday night was watched by an audience of between 800,000-850,000 paying customers in North America, according to reports.

If these figures prove to be accurate, the main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena would have generated between $64m-$68million just through American PPV alone.

Even if he is going to defeat fury, he has been defeated already. But what I see is that if fury could beat Wilder then he can do it again. It might be harder this time but the confidence he got from that is enough for him to win and keep winning.

I thought I read somewhere that Eddie Hearn was looking to pay Wilder some step aside money so that Fury and Joshua could get the undisputed fight?

I doubt Wilder would do that, he wants to prove himself in this fight as he only lose once, what would happen to his future if he will not for this fight and  the money that he will get just to step aside, was it big enough compared to what he will potentially make in this fight?

In any case, Wilder will probably retire once Fury beats him for a third time. He's already getting old and he's not going to be able to keep up with the younger generation of technical fighters that are coming up. Look at Filip Hergovic, Daniel Dubois and Efe Ajagba, they're all strong contenders.

Deontay Wilder has had too many injuries recently, he's like David Haye now.

As such, he'll get beaten by any fresh, technical boxer in the top 20 probs.
