What a surprise, after 9 votes we have 5 users voting for Wilder to win and 4 voting for Fury to win.

 Shocked
In the game of boxing anything can happen mate and i hope you could remember very well Anthony Joshua and Ruiz fight ll which Ruiz was still tagged as an underdog by every booker despite the fact that he won the first fight.

People are voting on the strength of Fury's performance in the rematch, we have seen him dominate one of the hardest puncher in Wilder. As compare to Joshua vs Ruiz, wherein, from my personal opinion, Joshua underestimated Ruiz that's why he was upset. But quickly bounce back and win on the rematch. Ruiz was the underdog in the second fight because majority thinks that Joshua is still the best fighter, despite the lost and still the A-side, and they are right.

That's a different story, Ruiz vs AJ was not a close match up at the beginning but the lines was adjusted when Ruiz Upset AJ but still AJ was the favorite.
Here, Wilder vs Fury 2nd fight was almost even with odds, and this time around Fury is favorite but not a heavy favorite, so this would reflect people's impressive that this fight would not be easily dominated by Fury although he won the last fight.

For the boxers to forget first losses it will always be hard and Wilder have to restore his mentally to prove his statement and some of boxers such as Mike Tyson never can able reach to top perform again after first lost so i'm curious for this third match and see whether Wilder can raise up or he will beated again
They are both good fighter but I will vote for Fury as he is smart and he has a strong punches also that will definitely hurt wilder. Though boxing is very unpredictable also as we will not know what will happen because a strong lucky punch can easily knock out each other if they will not be careful.

I voted for Fury because he knows how to play boxing, he is wise and above all that he is very patience. He knows when to attack, when to back down which is very helpful in boxing if you really want to win the match.
I was hoping to see Fury vs Joshua match but Wilder was able to make Furys promoter (Bob Arum) agree for a third match.
Like you boxing is unpredictable but i voted for Wilder and I hope hes ready to correct his mistake in the trilogy match just Joshua did because he also gain more weight and wore heavy custom which literally affect his strength.

I wish we could see who votes so we can call out the guys who think Deontay Wilder has even the slightest chance of winning this "three-match"

I don't think there has ever been an example in all of history where a person has lost the first and second fights against somebody, and came back to win the third.

Seriously, has it ever been done?
I do not recollect the exact scenario that you are presenting happening, however in the tetralogy of Pacquiao vs Marquez the first match was a draw and the next two were won by Manny, Marquez was finally able to win the fourth and last fight and if we take into account that during the first fight there was a controversy in the score cards of the judge that saw a draw that would have benefited Pacquiao then we can say that Marquez won the fourth fight after technically losing the first three.
I guess he misses that part before saying what he said, i also believe Zicadis is Furys die hard fan because the last time i checked Wilder and Fury first fight was said to be tie. Where did he get his impression?
For your information, Fury and Wilder both have the chance to win the third match until July 18th  after the fight take place.

Winding down.
With all these posts in this busy thread just 4 people have voted in the poll?

Come on people, start voting in the poll  Grin

I am for Wilder, and have already voted, now we have 2-3 in favor of Fury, of course as expected since most of us here believe that Fury would still win.

Tentative date floating around for the next fight: July 18. Plenty of time for Wilder to assessed what went wrong, (Yo, don't wear that fucking 40 lbs suit)  Grin. I'm sure we wanted to see Wilder make lots of adjustment, but as the saying goes, "you can't teach old dog new tricks". He can't really box, he just use his power to overcome his opponents, which for me is his downfall as Fury was a good technician and exposed his weaknesses.

Tyson fury is aiming to fight some renowned champion that's really in a championship level and really has skills, so a rematch of fury vs wilder III will most likely not happen. Im just surprised that he's announcing like both parties already agreed to a rematch, i guess we will have to wait for an official announcement.

If it happens the odds are in fury and i think fury will win this once again pretty easily.

Wilder will not be able to resist with the trash talk from now until the third fight because he will be upset at the way he was beaten and will believe in his mind he can win. As there will be frustration and anger on the part of Wilder it is clear he will talk and talk making bold claims until he gets in the ring.

From what I saw Wilder as the favourite for the first fight because Fury was out of shape but in the second fight I had Fury as the favourite and for the third there is no doubt in my mind Fury id the huge favourite and Wilder is the huge underdog.

He might do for all we know a Mike Tyson walk where the only costume he wore is a towel and two of his belts back when he fought Spinks, the blaming is now over and it's time for him to see what went wrong, we will a see Wilder now but he needs to do away with those bad talks, he will be a huge underdog now.

I should have added a poll when I started the thread  Grin

I agree Wilder should not be underestimated because of his KO record but Fury proved he can out-think and out-box Wilder a well as hurt him badly. I still say Fury will win a third fight.

Nice thread so the Fury vs Wilder II thread should be lock soon.

I am expecting a good discussion here, these two are now some of the popular boxers and it's nice that Wilder is still looking for a trilogy.
As a fans, I like to see KO for whoever will win, but I would not underestimate Wilder here although he loss twice, of course only 1 for the record.

@JollyGood I think it's nice if you also add some poll, we like to vote between the two.

Just like their second fight, This 3rd and final round of fight will be won by the best.
In the last KO, Fury outsmart, outlast and outfitted wilder, with the heavy touches at the weakest point, bring wilder down to the ground on few occasions, and going unscathed.

It is up to wilder to get his acts together, recover and show a challenge, while fury must not underestimate wilder, and be unprepared.

When he gets beat in the third fight what will his excuses be? I hope Wilder can just accept defeat graciously and move on to the next chapter of his life.

This might be very disadvantageous for Wilder. He will rest for only 1 month and begin training again for 3 months until July?

Let us also hope that he does not wear 40 pound costumes during the ring walk again hehehhe.

I voted for Wilder, I am the first. lol..

For the record, Wilder did not loss in the first fight, it was a draw, the 2nd, well, that was a clear loss via TKO, so this is like a rematch IMO, and let's see who will win if Wilder believes ha can win, then let's just watch.

Seriously, has it ever been done?
NOPE because like I said, wilder did not loss in the first fight.

Your advice is the best way forward but will Wilder, his team and more importantly their ego allow for that to happen? They should let rational decision making be the top priority and nothing else.

I would a little further than what you wrote because Fury beat Wilder mentally and physically. To go from that sort of beating, to go from being completely out boxed to somehow beat Fury is a dream. Anything is possible once they are in the ring but the majority will not give Wilder a hope for winning.

I think its better for Wilder to just simmer down a bit or even better, just shut his mouth in the next coming days. I think he can't really get over from the defeat he got from the hands of Fury here. He needs advisor right now, and not going to social media and tells the world that he is still the King.

He should get a page from Joshua's page, admitted his lost, and then beat Ruiz in the rematch. I think that suit excuse of his will haunt him for the rest of his career.

And I don't see him winning against Fury in a trilogy, to be honest, he lost the game mentally already.

Yes, physically, he might still have some to offer and give Fury a good fight. But I think it's more of mental thing for him, every athlete has this sort of pride to return and fight again specially in boxing. But if Wilder is not mentally prepared for the trilogy and only thinks that he can beat Fury with just his talent and skills and power, it will not be enough. First he need to go to fight his inner self and still believe that he can win, otherwise will be the same result as majority of us here see.

So I choose Fury to win again.
