Paul Butler reaches the point that he wants to take a shot to throw a series of multiple punches but is afraid and hesitant to do that as that will open his defense and Inoue can quickly look at that. For a boxer to feel that hesitation, shows us that Butler and Inoue do have a distant gap in terms of everything. I also hoped those who expect some upsets here should now understand that it's not just about popularity but technically speaking, Inoue has the clear upper hand on this match.

We will now wait for Naoya Inoue's next goal and he's expected to move up after his big achievement on the Bantamweight.

Locking the thread now.

Even though Naoya Inoue already won being the undisputed bantamweight champion, he still has many critics, especially Pinoys.

It's more good according to his critics if he intends to fight John Riel Casimero instead.

Is he the one to blame for why the fight against Casimero didn't happen? These critics need to be schooled.

Inoue was really a good fighter not only he is playing physically but he is trying to distract his opponent mentally by provoking him. That was really a good knock out though and kudos to the Butler for giving a good match and being a tough one to face Inoue. Who could probably a good match right now for Inoue?

I agree with you that Naoya Inoue is a good fighter because he is indeed a genarational one for me but provoking his opponent? Surely that's not one of the traits of Inoue. I don't know where did you read or get that but he is not like that, provoking is not on his vocabulary because he is one of a humble man who just want to do the talk rather than waste some time in talking some nonsense.
I bet we already have our own speculations on who will be a good match for Inoue, but I think it's good to let the time reveal that for us.

Yes, it's not the trait of Japanese to provoke their opponent, on the contrary they show much respect to their defeated opponent. Maybe Inoue is testing new skills in this fight like his resiliency to chase Butler and not to go for the knock out because Butler keeps on circling. So what he do? he attack the next best thing that is exposed and that is the body of Butler. So another dimension of the skills of Inoue has been unlocked in this fight, mental fortitude to stay focus on the goal and then look for other ways to break down his opponent.
You could really be able to see that Inoue now is much more disciplined and try to be cool on every decision he would made and this is what makes him a good technical fighter. He could really easily
be able to see on where are those openings and trying out to throw up some punch which would cause for the opponent to lower their guard or missing out on defending some parts of his upper body
which it is really that on his chest or stomach part or something in that space.Butler do really focuses out on covering or defending his face or head but Inoue isnt really
that dumb to throw combinations without having those alterations including body shot which is really good to look at on every success hit.

He won't be called a monster if he can't do all of those things. All of the predictions that were confident about Inoue winning this were all right.

Who could probably a good match right now for Inoue?
Casimero?

He wants to challenge Inoue and I don't know if their match is still going to happen since too many ruckus has been involved with their assumed match.

But let's see if Casimero is still on him.

Well Butler already did a great job for surviving almost 12 rounds, not many boxers can take all of Inoue's punches. Although in the scorecard Butler never win in any round, but at least he's really prepare very well to fight against Inoue. Congratulations for Inoue to become undisputed champion on Bantamweight, I think no one in this weight dare to take a challenge against Inoue lol. Inoue will move to super bantamweight and it increase the possibility if he will fight against Casimero.

If that was only his intention to survive, then  he should not fight as it will only hurt himself without a chance of winning. Inoue was a bit frustrated but his power was very evident, good thing he caught Butler in 11 rounds and knock him out. A well deserved win, no reason to stay at the current division, time for him to move up and challenge champs at weight class.

I initially thought that Butler will likely go toe to toe and test himself, but they put a conservative strategy, to run and avoid Inoue's power punches. But Inoue are intelligent, if he see his opponent keeps on running then he goes to the body shot, more devastating effect later and that is what we see on Butler as he doesn't have the gas to keep himself from running. And when Inoue feels that he can take him out then he cornered him and put that killer blows and the referee did a good job stopping it without counting the full 10 round count on Butler because obviously Paul is wincing in pain in the canvass.

I also did, that's why I was upset to see that he didn't faced and tried to fight Inoue head-on with even just one round to at least satisfy the crowd and audience especially the ones who came and watched to support him in his fight despite the fact that he's already losing the fight even before it started. But no, Paul Butler chose an embarrassment and waited until his body gave him up because of that powerful body punch that he was receiving since the 1st round.
Total disappointment for those who bet on butler yet the only thing that he had done is to avoid total engagement whenever Inoue tries to box out and just having that upperhand kind of defense.
Well, yes its really just that wise but its something not really good to look at that there are really times which he could really make out some counterattack at least which it really ends up on
having a boring fight for Butler yet all the thing he do is to avoid and evade. You could almost count off on how many punches were thrown.Inoue did find a way on cracking up
that turtle defense made on 11th round which his body cant really take anymore with those bombard of power punches.

They had it coming because they still bet on Butler even though his chances is not that pretty, much slimmer than slim, I think. Surely Butler had a nice juicy odds, but those who bet in his favor wasn't really thinking that the bookies are just tempting them hence why his odds was like that compared to Inoue. If only there's a betting option for Butler to withstand the whole 12 rounds, then that's more decent rather than betting for him to win.

We cant say that it is really an assured win yet Butler surprisingly able to to withstand for 11 rounds which it is really something understandable considering that he do purely make out
some defensive stance which is really that something that do really makes him look like a turtle on which Inoue is trying to break that shell until he was really badly hurt and knocked down on
that particular round. Its true that all the thing he do is to run away and dont engage a fight with Inoue. You could even able to count his thrown punches as well
which is really that something makes him look laughable.

It's expected that Inoue will win in domination, but it wasn't expected that Butler is just fighting to survive. He should have not agreed for an undisputed fight if he does not have the ability to beat Inoue. That fight turns out like a circus where Inoue is just making Butler his moving punching bag.

It is clear for anyone that watched the fight that Butler went up there with the clear intention of not losing the fight during the very first rounds, but while doing so he abandoned any chance of victory against Inoue, to me this is controversial, because while some may be impressed by Butler and his ability to last that long against someone like Inoue, I would say that I am disappointed about his attitude, as he took a path he knew he will have no chance to win, to me it would have been better for him to actually go for the victory, most likely he would still lose, but at least his chances of victory would not have been zero.

Inoue is just too good. The difference in talent is just too wide. If Butler had fought any other way he would've still been knocked out and it probably would've happened sooner.

With this fight out of the way I expect Inoue to move up. I believe he will continue to conquer new weight classes because there isn't too many fighters in these lower division that can really be considered a serious threat to Inoue.

Yes, because the whole undisputed fight between them was already a mismatch since then as it's too crystal clear that Butler cannot possibly defeat Inoue in any way expect for a lucky punch that is not really unlikely to happen. What Butler did was he just stepped on the ring and fought 11 rounds with all defense and then hand Inoue his title for the latter to unite all 4-belt, nothing more.

They keep ignoring the potential Casimero match which makes his undisputed title cause a lot of comment. I really hope that the fight between this 2 impressive boxer will happened next year.

That is a big possibility now since Inoue has nothing to proved in the bantamweight and shows intention to go up in super bantamweight and continue because he said that he want to get another belt in the new division and planning to unify it as well. But Casimero will be in this track this time.

Casimero is going to be a challenger for Inoue, although Inoue had some success in bantamweight division, but when he will move, he would not fight a champion right away, so no other fighter that could give Inoue a real challenge but Casimero. I'm confident that it will happen because Casimero will never stopped challenging Inoue and the beast will leave no option but to accept it.

And hopefully Inoue will finally say yes. Casimero was already challenging Inoue when they are both champions in the bantamweight division but it seemed like Bob Arum does not want to take risk on his cash cow already Inoue is a huge favorite to win. They cannot escape anymore because in order for Inoue to have a shot on a title fight, he needs to be a top contender and that means beating his fellow contenders which Casimero is waiting in line.

Inoue, though, has that privilege if the champ from the current division will accept his challenge, right? Just like what happen with Bivol and Alvarez, Canelo challenge Bivol on his division but failed to snatch the belt.

It can be applied to Inoue. We know how good Bob Arum is in terms of negotiations and if the champion
from this division agree they can simply schedule the fight.

It's Casimero who needed to be a top challenger before he can call for the belt. He went up without anything
to offer, start from scratch.

He already knows how dangerous Butler is, the game plan is to let Inoue attack and attack and then let him makes mistake for him to take advantage of that. Unfortunately, Butler has no knockout power, so even though he hit Inoue some clean shots, he could not hurt him.

Yeah, Butler doesn’t deserve that title fight since the belt is stripped away from Casimero. Butler will not gonna have a chance to get that belt if he will face Casimero in the ring for the belt. The difference on strength and power of Inoue to Butler is very noticeable since Inoue dominate all the round. Inoue is really a monster while Butler is just a stepping stone that Top Rank use to build more solid reputation for Inoue for more profitable fight.

I guess though the circumstances really favor Butler that time and who wouldn't want to take that belt? Just imagine though if the late replacement for Casimero has upset Butler then obviously he will not got that chance anymore.

We can't blame Butler if he fights that way, Inoue isn't called the Monster for nothing. If he stands toe to toe with Inoue, he wouldn't last three rounds and he will suffer the same fate as Donaire. He was fighting scared that's why it lasted for 11 rounds which for me a victory for himself because even the bookies predicted that the fight will be over in under three rounds, that's why I grabbed the opportunity when I saw that odds.

With Top Rank grooming their newfound cash cow, for sure he will become a multi-division champion and I hope that he will meet Casimero while they are still at the peak of their careers.

He would really be lasting that long because just like what others been saying that he do just keep his guard up most of the time and dont make out some interesting exchange of punches. He knows that

he is really on disadvantage when it comes to power and speed which is quiet evident and obvious.Yes, its true that we are all rooting that Butler could reach out 3-4 rounds but surprisingly

it did able to last until 11 and possibly could finish up that 12 if that one didnt end up on a KO.This do involves lots of guarding and swaying around the canvass
and trying out not to make some belt to belt chase on.

I think this is the worst mistakes Butler did. Not only he let himself get beaten hard, he even give Inoue a full confidence.  I am watching the fight and saw Inoue's chin open in most of the confrontation.  Butler is too afraid to throw punches because he thinks he'll leave himself open if he do but little does he know that if he catches Inoue off guard and precisely hit the chin, he might KO'ed Inoue?  Butler is too much intimidated that he forgot his own gameplay.  Butler is like a turtle hiding in his shell waiting for it to break  and it breaks on 11th round.

Well, at least fans has longer time to watch the fight even though it is purely onesided.
