win lambo...
Well Butler already did a great job for surviving almost 12 rounds, not many boxers can take all of Inoue's punches. Although in the scorecard Butler never win in any round, but at least he's really prepare very well to fight against Inoue. Congratulations for Inoue to become undisputed champion on Bantamweight, I think no one in this weight dare to take a challenge against Inoue lol. Inoue will move to super bantamweight and it increase the possibility if he will fight against Casimero.

If that was only his intention to survive, then  he should not fight as it will only hurt himself without a chance of winning. Inoue was a bit frustrated but his power was very evident, good thing he caught Butler in 11 rounds and knock him out. A well deserved win, no reason to stay at the current division, time for him to move up and challenge champs at weight class.

Yes, but it's not enough to just circle around and not throw any punches in there. That's why Donaire is different as he change his strategy and did try to fight Inoue toe to toe. But both have the same results, Inoue knock them out.

Yeah and no need for him to stay in this division, he should move to super bantamweight and maybe he will see him and Casimero in the future as it it also one of the most anticipated fight for 122 lbs.

A mismatch? An easy win for Inoue? Not even a big challenge for Inoue? Can't blame some people's view about the match as the distance between Naoya Inoue and Paul Butler is really that wide and long gap. I can't even think of a way how Butler can survive the wrath of Inoue.

Agreed. The odds for this fight might be 1.05 for Naoya Inoue and 8.50 to 9.00 for Paul Butler. The ending will also certainly be another knockout for Inoue. Where the oddsmakers might place the over or the under might be on 7.5 rounds and they might favor the under, I reckon. However, Paul Butler was knocked out only once and it was 7 years ago. I speculate that Inoue will knock Butler on the 10th or 11th round.

This was my original predction and I also saw @bisdak40's advice on over 2.5 rounds, however, I forgot to watch the fight or make my bets. I knew the fight was on December 13 but it was very strange because I thought it would be on Friday hehe. I am presently watching the replay. Inoue looks very much like the featherweight Manny Pacman inside the ring.

Some of us really missed the fight because of our timezone. Nevertheless we have seen highlights of the fight and yeah Inoue looks bigin their with Butler.

Good prediction, unfortunately you didn't make the bet. But still good though, there are tons of boxing match in the future, but this time bet early,  Grin

Butler almost managed to last all 12 rounds, it deserves respect. But  in the 11th round, Inouye managed to knock out Butler and referee stopped the fight. In general, the fight is not bad, in the second half of the fight Butler managed to level the fight a little, but still Inoue's advantage was expectedly very significant. Congratulations to Inouye with the absolute championship, now all 4 belts belong to him!
Even if there’s no knock out, its clear that Inoue dominates most of the round and maybe in Round 11, Butler can’t hold it anymore and fall in the ground to lose the fight. Inoue proves to be more dominant here and having that 4 belt on different division is quiet a great achievement, many boxer will surely aim for this guy and its hard to say who will be the one to defeat Inoue, congrats as well to those who placed their bets and make the profit.

I don't think Butler even won a single round and to think that Butler is holding the other belt, things could have been different if he is facing Casimero, Butler did not come to fight he come to survive the power of Inoue but he failed to last the 12 rounds, I hope in his next campaign in the upper division he will face a real challenger like Casimero because I read that Casimero is also moving in that division and hopefully Navarette a very dominant featherweight.

A good fight for both Butler and Inoue, strategy wise both fighters adjust and fight according to how they see their chances can give
them the favor, not that much but good enough to stay standing for Butler.

Again, for those who expect for an early KO Butler disappoint you all, he circulates inside the ring as expected.

I'm surprised that the fight lasted that long I don't think Inoue is challenged in this fight it's just Butler does not want to engage and Inoue is looking for the right time to unload his big punches the right time happened in the 11th round, there's nothing more to conquer or challenge him in the Bantamweight division, so he is on the next weight category lets see if he will conquer that category too, as he moves up there's a lot of challenges on those weight categories.

Even if the fight long last but still the knockout is there, what a good fight by inoue and butler their fight speaks that they are the are good and match fair in their division. And in when the round 11 has come then inoue became a undisputed bantamweight champion in the world. If inoue step to the next weight then let's wait what happens to him if he can still be a monster or not. But for me inoue can be a monster until he retire.
No one knows on what would be his career on next wright division whether he would really be still succeeding or dominating or would really be having a hard time on beating up those boxers on much heavier
weights. In speaking with the recent fight then Butler didnt really disappoint even though he do lost up this fight which is obvious but surprisingly he did really make out those movements
which he do tend to avoid on having engagement directly with Inoue since he do really know that he's on disadvantage and here comes that 11th round.
You could totally tell the difference in power i shall say which i could tell that it could go into higher weight division.

Inoue is expected to win all the titles in the Bantamweight and move up he is having issues with his weight, but Inoue will conquer a lot of weight divisions, like Manny Pacquiao, he will be multi-titled I don't think he will face big challenges in the featherweight division, Inoue career is just going to the most exciting part because there are great names in the upper weight division and this is where the big challenges are.

You mean super-bantamweight division (122 lbs.) because that's practically where's he is heading next. But I do think that Inoue can somehow defeat the ones in featherweight but I know Bob Arum wouldn't want to be that hasty because that's too risky for an undefeated boxer like Inoue, we know that 8 lbs. is not that actually big but for a boxer, it will be on a different challenge especially if they will be facing a boxer who's more natural on that weight. For now, Inoue and Bob Arum is looking forward at 122 lbs. first to test the waters but that is not because Inoue is already having issues with his weight.

And that's it, Inoue is the first Japanese boxer to be crowned the unified champion of the bantamweight division via knocking out Paul Butler in the eleventh round. Man, what a punishment there that Butler has absorbed.

To those who expected an early knockout, you may be disappointed but kudos to Paul Butler who have withstood the onslaught from the very first round of the fight. As I've said above Inoue might be having a hard knocking out Butler as the latter will be fighting scared, he will be inside the ring just to survive.

My bet ^^ is not settled yet but this is a win.

Congrats mate!

I didn't bet in this fight because the odds weren't that good for me but I watched their fight. Butler's situation is really hard to watch, so pitiful seeing him becoming a human punching bag to the Japanese monster, even Inoue himself smiled at that fact. The man suffered 11 rounds and almost had the fight to the judge's hands, fortunately, his defense is getting weaker as rounds goes by.

Didn't believed that Butler will actually play on defense during the whole fight (even though I'm saying at the back of my head the Butler will play survival tactics), this is an undisputed fight so I did expect that he will at least put up a good fight for his fans even though he knew that he won't be getting out the ring as the winner.

fall in their chair after seeing that KO in 11th round.

It should have come earlier but Inoue waited for the right time I have never seen a unification title that is so easy from the other fighter, it's quite a boring fight as the fight is very one-sided Inoue even does a Roy Jones antic, I read he will be moving to the next weight which is featherweight I think he will face a real challenge on that division, and hopefully, Casimero will follow him in that division so they can finally meet in the ring.

If Inoue becomes undisputed in 118 lbs, he will be the first Japanese boxer to be able to unify a certain division.  I agree Inoue is a great boxer and a monster of 118 lbs but we never know what awaits him if he goes up in the weight division.

New challenges will bring him more excitement. Next in line will be to try conquering the Super Bantamweight.

A jump from 118 lbs to 122 lbs isn't really that tough to adopt for a boxer like Inoue.

In fact, his body is already capable to fight at 122 lbs with just a bit of extra training. I hope he will get a chance to face those current champions there.

Not that far and with his fighting skills, it's very possible for him to win or make himself a champion at his next stop. It's not hard for Inoue to gain that weight and still move the same.

Giving him enough time to train while gaining weight, his solid combination is his strong
advantage, even if he will move up as long as he will bring that same level of dedication
to prepare, we will expect more belts and title for him to win.

Not just the first Japanese boxer but the first Asian boxer as well to be named as undisputed champion in a certain category. No doubt that at the end of the day he will be crowned by that name as he defeats Paul Butler by a way of KO or TKO, that's the nearest prediction by every Inoue fans and by the boxing community around the world because a win by a decision is not really possible.

Few hours to go and we will witness the main event. Already excited to see this! Cheesy

I think this fight will be in a few hours from now, this is the biggest fight of Inoue, so we should not miss this one. I would be very appreciative if someone would be able to share some links, that way we will all enjoy watching the fight and to find out if our prediction is correct or wrong.

Naoya Inoue's 1st trip he was 55.55 kilograms while Paul Butler was at 55.52 kg then he leave the weigh-in room and after a few minutes come back and weigh-in again he was now at 55.45 kg while Butler was at 55.50 kg, Inoue missed weight at first but comes back again with a much-preferred weight, Naoya Inoue has said that he was targeting to knockout Butler on the early rounds or just observe Paul Butler's movement, while Paul Butler has said that I'd like to show an interesting fight

As a Boxer then you dont really have any goals or targets but to have that lots of belts on different divisions and this would really be his stepping stone which is to go into higher divisions but of course
he would really be making out those kind of adjustments on which enemies on upper division cant really be that too easy to beat. For now, first things first is to beat up Butler and then go forward.
We might be able to see into those future plans that he might be taking which its pretty obvious on what he's up to.
It is really just amazing if we do really look on how Inoue did able to pass up lots of fights with having that tremendous power or simply his fighting performance.

Yep! if Inoue really wants it he would really get it he is now targeting other divisions' belts, and to try his power in that division, and maybe that missed weight is a foreshadowing that he would eventually go up a higher weight or could even go down the weight to his liking, I think he would go up the weight and try his power on the higher division, and right now the match could start sooner and I am looking forward to Filipino boxers and if Landy Cris Leon can get a belt for the Philippines which is I really doubt, but still hopeful,
