^^ They could be on the same card, co-main event according to this report:

Earlier this month, WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire revealed that he was “finalizing” a December 11th clash with interim champion and mandatory challenger Reymart Gaballo. Now, the reliable Julius Julianis reports that the fight could serve as half of a Dubai doubleheader with John Riel Casimero vs. Paul Butler, which was already targeted for that date.

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/10/26/22747243/nonito-donaire-vs-reymart-gaballo-could-join-casimero-butler-december-11-boxing-news-2021

That will be an interesting twist as we can see both fights in the same night. And since Donaire and Casimero are now under the same management, most likely this fight is going to happen.

So let's just wait for the official announcement, it will be huge if this is going to be true two championship fight in one card and involving fighters that will potentially clash in the future.

This rumor is very positive, I hope Casimero would also confirm this through his youtube channel. I'm one of his followers so it's nice to hear some good news regarding this fight. Two Filipino champions are going to defend their title against their respective opponents on the same day, that's a good treat for the Filipino boxing fans and to all the fans all over the world.
Plus a possible preview if they both perform well, a call for the title fight between them.

Maybe if fans witness a great fight between their respective opponents, it will be more easy to arrange and settle
the time and venue for this possible title fight.

Before moving to Inoue in where whoever wins, will have a very big chance to earn a huge amount of shares.
If both Pinoy champs are after Inoue, they also need to have an impressive performance to bring the pressures.

3 out of 4 Filipinos in the main card, although both are going to face each other. But still this is really huge for Filipino boxing fans around the world as we wanted to see someone to cheer on since the great Manny Pacquiao has retired.

And since are both sign with Probellum promotions, definitely this can happen.

All we have to do is wait for the announcement after every thing has been set.

They will make an announcement soon if indeed the fight will happen in December.

For promotional purposes, a fight has to be announced earlier than the scheduled fight, the early the better as there will be more time to promote the fight. This is the first time, an international fight where 2 Filipinos are the co-main event and will be fighting in Dubai or in USA.

Reymart Gaballo is looks strong, because the opponents are weak . This match is going to test Gaballo's skill, at this age we can't say that he is slow. On the other hand, Donaire  lost to Naoya Inoue on 7th November 2019 by unanimous decision in their WBA Super World Bantamweight While Gaballo looks strong his hits are lacking in accuracy.
I tend to  disagree , Who says those former opponent of Gaballo are weak? Mate you cannot prove that because He knocked most of them so we did not see the power totally as they had been down earlier.

Gaballo is really a tough fighter , and we can prove that in all His videos from the past games.

But you are indeed correct this will test Him heavily .

Donaire is a different animal, Gaballo has not faced a champion like Donaire before, look at how Donaire won in his previous fight and you would say that he is really scary as a fight. I know he is old, but this old is still capable of knocking down his opponent with his solid hook and that's what Gaballo has to study on how to play defense since Donaire is a rhythm boxer and once he finds his range, then the game is over.

Just to change topic here, is there a date for this fight? Because with Casimero-Butler, we know this is happening because there's one promoter who won the bid to proceed the fight. But with this Donaire-Gaballo, what is the status of their schedule? I am sure, Donaire will take the big cut here but when will this match happen?

I have the feeling that Donaire can still win on this bout even if he is older than Gaballo. It is not that he was inactive for years, because he just won over Oubaali this year.

Weak? But all of his opponents were within his same class therefore they are all in their comfort zone but it just happened that Gaballo defeated them all. It's still hard to reach a clean 24 wins record with 95% of those wins being thru Knock Out win.

What accuracy do you mean? Punch landed stats? Can you share your analysis here with stats?

Probably he was just trying to say weak compared to Donaire, he was overwhelmed by how good Donaire is and forget how good Gaballo as a challenger. We would know for sure once these two will fight in the ring, the young one is also hungry to be a champion while Donaire needs to win this fight as it's his ticket for a big fight against Inoue.

It's clear that the user called previous opponents of Gaballo as weak. That was disrespectful and it shows that Gaballo's record came from an easy winning which is not. Not because that user didn't know or aware some of Gaballo's previous opponents better just shut his mouth as Gaballo work hard on that record. He's a perfect opponent for Nonito Donaire.

I wouldn't say that someone who's too good and has been working hard with his record to say that his opponents were weak. I think it's a slap to him if you're going to say that. I would acknowledge that many of his fights are clean fights and whoever is in the same division and gets a match or challenge him, they're not weak. They won't be a boxer if they're too weak just to enter their chosen career. As for his accuracy, let us see if that's really a thing on this match since it's a different match to you than his firsts matches.

You cant just make out bets without having those analysis and research because you wont able to feel the thrill since you dont really care at all from the start.
If you are not basing on the stats to make an analysis, then probably you are just gambling, no chance for you to improve your skill as a sports bettor as you rely on pure luck, this is not like the other games that have a house edge, you should use your knowledge and skills to increase your chance of winning.
People have different styles when it comes to gambling, even if I am not good enough to get an edge over the house I also like to go through the process of watching the stats and see if I can pick the winner for the best odds possible, and while for many this may seem like work that is one way I entertain myself, however there are others that just want to experience the thrill of gambling and as such even if for us they are taking a no calculated risk, for them that is part of the fun.

So far no announcement so let's assume that the fight might happen early next year.

Maybe the venue are all filled up to December as there are a lot of fights still schedule in the next two months of the year. So the promoter will have no choice but to push it to 2022 to have a good place to have this fight, at least maybe LA will be a good venue as there are a lot of Filipinos out there and we all know that this showdown is all Filipino, the old and the new breed of Filipino fighters.
Investment wise, promoter need to adjust. Like to what you said there are many upcoming big fights and if the promoters will try to push this fight, this year the chance of not getting attentions from the fans is very possible, so for sure they are considering that and they are also seeking for more interest to make sure that they will make some good cash or make a break-even from this mandatory fight. Roll Eyes

Old and new, but both Pinoy breeds, both have something to prove and to continue to achieve, but only one will win and go up to the peak.

Taking time to conditions of their physical health to make sure that they are well prepared when the date and venue already been settled. Cool

so I don't think that By chance we can determine the winner looking at this . What We  knew is He is winning without those many Abs like His opponent .
Maybe true, and he is tall so he still dominates in the bantam weight. But if you noticed, when he go up in weight and still does not have a muscle, he was not able to bring his power and because of that, even if he has the skills but he does not have the killer instinct anymore, he was punished by axe man which I think was his worst loss.

This is the reason why sports betting like boxing is one of the best ways to earn it's all about the player's capability by the record of their previous match you can see the players chance of winning its already a hint where to bet. Also their body and the match games because sometimes even the player is already underdog they can make an amazing game and winning the belt. As for now i trust with the Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire on ranking looks like he's the second to Manny among all strong boxers in ph.

And in the face-off and weigh-in, you can clearly see who has prepared so much in a particular fight because their body looks awesome (no homo). And then their resume, the stats will tell who's boxer has a big chance to win against their opponents. So hopefully, Donaire still has it, can pull the trigger and maybe shows us some of his prime moves specially the timing of his left hook.

You cannot tell on the body of Donaire that he is ready as he doesn't have a body of a boxer that has many abs due to workout, and that makes Donaire different from other boxers as he looks underrated because of the built of his body.

Compared the body of Donaire and the boxer he Knock out in his previous fight.

DOnaire is not a Muscle type Boxer , all His photos in Off does not show any strong posture because this is not His kind instead
he only relies in His skills in the ring and not because of His looks.

so I don't think that By chance we can determine the winner looking at this . What We  knew is He is winning without those many Abs like His opponent .

I wonder what's happening with their promoters they seem to have no intention to make this fight happen this year. I wonder why?

Just because there's no schedule yet, organizers don't have the intention to make the fight happen this year? Not really because organizers can announce the fight even next month if the bout will happen in December. If I'm not mistaken, Donaire vs Casimero was announced just 45 days before the scheduled fight.

That's my question too same as yours but in case there's no fight happened this year, I don't see any wrong if it will happen next year. Maybe more time for preparation in the case of Gaballo and Butler that will face Casimero as they got surprised by the sudden change of event.

If the fight will happen this year then it should have been announced already, I think they will not gonna make it this year despite there being a rumor this fight will be at the end of the month. It would be nice if it will happen early so Donaire will be able to have more time to prepare if he will face Inoue next.
