If Gaballo was able to steal a win, it will be a big recognition to him, not just in the Philippines but for the whole world. He will increase his rankings and have a chance to fight those boxers on the top. Donaire will be more proud of him as a fellow Filipino.

I'm eyeing Donaire to win but the kid Gaballo should now start achieving good development in his career and one of the highlights should be, defeating Nonito Donaire.

If ever Gaballo will gonna win this fight against Donaire it will be a great boost to his boxing career though this man has already a good fight record from his boxing fight history however this fight with Donaire will be a breakthrough to his career. However thinking that even Donaire is older than Gaballo we can't deny that this fighter is considered as great fighter too so this would be a challenging fight for underdog.

Yes if Gaballo wins Donaire, its going to be 25th unbeaten win for him. But its going to be really challenging as the WBC champion Donaire is not an easy handler. Though he is bit aged, he has a good record of winning 41 matches out of 47.  Its going to be a lovely moment to watch Interim Champion Gaballo, the young player boxing with WBC belt champion Donaire. Lets see

It's always fun to watch Donaire as he is not a boring fight, Gaballo on the other hand is an aggressive fighter so this fight would guarantee us some real entertainment. However, since there's no release schedule for this fight, there's nothing we can do but wait until they will have an official announcement. For those who were not able to follow Gaballo's career in boxing, you can watch some highlights on youtube so you have an idea of how good this young fighter is.

But he hasn't face a fighter like Donaire, who has a impressive resume, although Donaire lost by KO, but it was a huge guy that beat him, and he was like going up in weight.

Bantam is really Donaire's weight class, he has beaten a lot of good fighters with his brilliant left hook. And this is what Gaballo might look out, if he chases for a KO, Donaire might caught him with a good night left hook. So I would say that he should only go for the KO if he has a chance, don't chase and look for a KO in every punch.

Very common to a young fighter who is so hungry for fame, I will not be surprised if Gaballo will try this strategy Roll Eyes I mean he would initiate that aggressive attack and he will try to see if he can overpower Donaire. Though it would still depend on how his camp scout, how his opponent fought and where he might have a much bigger chance of winning the fight.

If they will go with this kind of flow, fans will surely be entertained, but the risk is really high since Donaire has that counter left hook, which mostly gives him the momentum to win.

You're right, Nonito Donaire is supposed to be a stepping stone for young Gaballo and the Philippine boxer is not in his prime anymore given his age and his last fights.
No, we can say that Donaire is not in his prime anymore but his last fight was pretty impressive, it looks like the young Donaire has come back as his signature left hook was their and that resulted to an early KO of his opponent which was the champion that time.

So if Gaballo couldn't defeat or even get a close score against Donaire then this young boxer isn't worth it to fight closely against other champions. But if Gaballo will win, for sure there will a be lot of line-up match afterwards and there'll be a promising future new for the young boxer.
Gaballo has to KO Donaire, at least if that would happen there would be no controversy anymore and he will gain the respect of the fans of Donaire.

It seems the WBO had recently ordering boxers for a title defense but it is their right to do so, now we had Casimero VS Butler and we also have Donaire VS Gaballo, and yes this fight between two Filipino boxers is not what the fan expected to happen but I think this is a good opportunity for Gaballo if he can really shake things up and make another dent in Donaire's record, but WBO surely won't allow this fight to happen if they didn't see any potential on Reymart Gaballo's side, but I really don't expect him to KO/TKO Donaire a Decision win is likely enough for me but as you have said Gaballo needs to KO Donaire so they will not question that Gaballo would likely giving the win to Donaire, and there wouldn't be any controversies about it.

Gaballo has to win by KO, he is undefeated and most of his wins are coming from KO.

He is 24-0 and 20 of that wins are from KO, so if he beat Donaire, it will likely be a KO.
Donaire is a kind of fighter that is also aggressive, and Gaballo loves that kind of fighter as he is also aggressive as well.

Most people would believe that Donaire will win but upset could happen especially that Gaballo has never experience a lose in his life in boxing yet.

Donaire lose once in a bantamweight championship fight, and that was against a prime Guillermo Rigondeaux who are just running when he fought Casimero. Yes, Donaire has found his place in the bantamweight and he will likely retire in this division so he will try to win and beat champions.

Indeed, this is an opportunity for Gaballo to level up on his boxing career and become popular if he ever beat Donaire. His record is also impressive though I dont see any popular name with his KO fights. On the other side, we know Donaire is one of the well known boxer in the Phils next to Pacquiao and already prove himself on the ring thus it wont be easy for his opponet to knock him down.

Nobody knows Gaballo before his last fight, so this is a challenge for him to make a name in the Philippine boxing community.

For sure, this is for the regular WBC bantamweight belt, he held the interim, but Donaire has one belt as well. So if he wins, then he will be recognised as the true WBC champion. And with that belt, he will be chase by other champions or mandatory in the WBC rankings.

I'm eyeing Donaire to win but the kid Gaballo should now start achieving good development in his career and one of the highlights should be, defeating Nonito Donaire.

Yes, really hard to see how this match end, but it's going to be a win-win situation for the Philippines. Whoever wins will still have the flag of the country at their back.

We'd loved to watch fight on December where bettors have a lot of money because of the holiday season so maybe this can be a great timing for them to push through this match though a lot of talks already, it can still be changed depends on the availability of the venue and the sponsors of course.

The holiday season has nothing to do with the betting market of that fight. Will the fight happened in December or not, expect that bettors will still have the same and usual approach when placing bets. But you are right, it's subject to change since there's no complete information released yet about that fight.

With regards to skills of Donaire, it is still there and he can still punch beside he's still young compare to other boxers so definitely this match will show a great boxing experience for both parties, can't wait to see Filipino boxers in one ring again.

If we talked about his current weight class, Donaire is considered not that young anymore.

But right, his skills are still there. Remember how he deal serious damage to Naoya Inoue when they clashed. Inoue is known as a monster and is currently in his prime but was being sent to hospital after their fight.

No update yet regarding the schedule of the fight? Is it going to happen this year or next year?
As far as I know they are planning to have this match this December, same thing with Casimero since they both now under one promotion team. They are already fixing the schedule and I’d hope that this match will push through this year, let’s wait for their final announcement. Donaire is still a good fighter as his age, he will continue to fight for sure so this is an exciting Filipino match!

Right, the target is still this year, it's doable and I think it make sense to have this fight on December as people are more willing to pay to watch this fight live or thru ppv.

Donaire is good as his last fight, so we will assume that he still has it because he was able to knock out Ouballi. Although a bit old and I would say slower as well, but the power is still there. As for Reymart, up and coming and wanting to proved that he is also a great champion from the Philippines.

Donaire has already made his name and will soon be a future Hall of Famer as well, so there's nothing to prove even if he would lose this fight, but just like what he said after a big win against Oubaali that the king is back, I believe he will live with this words and he would like to dominate the bantamweight division by collecting all the belts before he retires.

Well, if the fight will happen in December, I think that's good so he can focus on fighting a regular champion next year if he wins, and he could challenge again Inoue or Casimero to a unification fight.

, what makes Donaire slowed down a bit is because he is not getting any younger, but despite that, he still prove to the boxing community that he is still here because he beat a champion to steal the belt, we can see it in his previous fight and on how impressive he was.
If he was slow in his last fight then Nordine Oubaali would easily hit him, I don't think he has slowed down already.
Yes, there's no doubt that he is not getting any younger because he is already 38 years old now but age is just a number for a champion and he can still go toe to toe against a younger fighter, even Gaballo and we shall see this big fight hopefully soon.

Time takes its toll not only as a natural process but also as someone that has fought so many times then Donaire probably has accumulated injuries over the years that do not allow him to be at his very best, but with training and the right life-style he can combat this and make his career a lot longer, after all one of the things we are seeing from the athletes of this era is that they are performing at a top level for longer, and this is a trend in all sports so I do not see why Donaire cannot do something similar.
