The first undisputed bantamweight champion in 4 different divisions. Super amazing. This will be a record that is difficult to break. It may take a while before we can witness another boxer that will surpass this kind of achievement.

Only at bantamweight is Inoue undisputed. He is currently a champion in three divisions. When he moves up to super bantamweight, he is excited to become a champion in four divisions. Anyhow, the legacy exists already.

^^ It's a different weight class for Teo and I would agree that we might see a different version of his at welterweight as this is not his natural weight as compare to let's say Prograis who are very comfortable that's why he can back it up with his talk with a great win recently.

We will have to see how Teo Lopez will respond back in his next fight here, whether for the belt or not. He will be lucky if he will get a title shot in this 3rd fight in this division because it is said that he might be waiting for the winner of Prograis vs Ramirez.

As long as he continues winning, eventually he will get his shot for championship fight and that will be the time to prove if he really deserve to be a champion again. if he will fail, hopefully he will not anymore makes an excuses like he did when he lose in the lower weight class.
He will have his shots eventually, he will be the mandatory for Prograis belt if I'm not mistaken.

But Regis will have to defend it against Ramirez, a former champion that Josh Taylor beat this year to unify all the belts. Teo and his Father are two loud mouths and for sure they will have another excuses if they lost again to either Prograis or Ramirez. He had a difficult time against Martin who are just a second tier fighter in 140 lbs. So imagine Teo fighting the best of this division and the result might not be good for him.

The junior welterweight division is where Teo is competing. Teo is a big man, probably about Mayweather's height or even a little taller. Teo can compete with the best in his new division if he grows from his mistakes and improves. If he can withstand the powerful blows of Prograis, Teo has what it takes and the ability to beat Prograis or Ramirez.

It is his only key to have that title match and if he continues to win, who knows what might be his fate in this division? Lopez is a fighter and he will always be there to fight, though it's not just like that fighters need to win to continue their journey and to prove their worth of their name while still in this sport. Hopefully, we will see more coming from Lopez and that possible upcoming matchup against Prograis may take place, something to prove between these two fighters.

Not a robbery and Martin is just doing what he thinks is good, he doesn't want that engagement knowing that Lopez can really take him down
if he will give him that chance.

Martin had a good start but fell short on aggressiveness.  The judge saw Teofimo Lopez is more eager to win the fight by being aggressive the whole fight.

He just moves according to how he see that he has some chance of winning, but the judges give the win to Lopez
as he converts more and he's really aggressive.

Yeah Teofimo is way more aggressive and launched more volume of punches.  Martin strategy is to counter Teofimo punches  but everytime they clash, Teofimo seems to negate those counters in the later rounds giving him more scoring punches than Martin

Nothing to say, a win is still a win and we will wait for Lopez next schedules.

It was close but it is obvious that Lopez really won that fight.

Yes, but it seems for me that Teo will have a difficult time in 140 lbs. I mean Martin give him a good challenge throughout the fight and even had one judges score in favor of him. Although I will tend to agree with what Devin Haney said, he mentioned that Lopez is not the same fighter after the Kambosos fight. And George really took the soul of Teo hehehe.

So there are no names yet for him as who will be next, but in case he goes for the belt against Prograis, it will be a different story for him as Regis is more power in his punch and has decent to good chin.

I was late to put my bets. I got used to watching boxing games early morning in my timeline, big mistake.
Just finished checking the highlights and I saw Inoue won in round 11. Wow.
The first undisputed bantamweight champion in 4 different divisions. Super amazing. This will be a record that is difficult to break. It may take a while before we can witness another boxer that will surpass this kind of achievement.

The hand behind the back is one of the good highlights of the fight.
Now, what's next for him? He said he will decide after he take that last belt. Super Bantamweight maybe?

He will obviously go to super bantamweight next. But before anything, we should give credit to Butler, I mean he survived the fight almost. He did his homework circling around and trying to avoid Inoue's power.

But Inoue's was expecting this so he look for the body first and when Butler is weaken, he goes in the head and when Butler goes down, he can't recover in time and the body shot took a toll on him.
Wow, Butler almost survived and forced the fight to decide. A big credit to this champ who did his homework avoiding a toe-to-toe engagement, making sure that even he loses his belt it won't be an easy take for Inoue. A win is still a win, and it's a KO which most of the fans are expecting coming from the monster, another great achievement unifying all the belts from this division.

We don't know what will be the plan, let Inoue enjoy and celebrate along the way his camp will announce what's will be the next
step, either to continue defending his belts or move up and start chasing new belt/s.

Yes, I think him and his team are celebrating this huge accomplishment, to unify all the belts in the modern 4 world belt in the bantamweight division. For sure his fans are loving tos see how Inoue win, he didn't force the knock down early and he shows patience

Now it makes it more exciting to see him climbing up to the super bantamweight as all the 122 lbs are more welcome to see him in their division.

Yeah, much respect for his enormous effort as he really tried to find a way to win it. It's just that, we can see the difference in the last rounds of the fight, he is slowing down due to the invested body shots by Inoue, but somehow it profited in the end.
Time for Inoue to go to the higher division, there is nothing more to prove about where he is now, the majority does approve he is the undisputed champion.
We don't know what will be the plan, let Inoue enjoy and celebrate along the way his camp will announce what's will be the next

I like the latter. Try to dominate new divisions and put his name where it will not be forgotten. New fighters mean new challenging goals and it's one of the big questions lurking around if he can do the same thing as what he did now.

Yeah! that was an amazing victory and in just a short period of time, he was able to unite all bantamweight belts for himself. To finish it with a knockout in round 11, was really a history and a moment to be proud of for the Japanese people.

I don't think he will gonna fight anyone so soon after this one because obviously he deserves a long rest after this personal achievement and the boxing association probably will affirm that. It was always nice to watch him win every fight and it will be more fun when he climbs to the upper division and continues to dominate fighters up there.

Even though Butler made it to the eleventh round, Inoue won the fight easily. Does Butler ever win a single round in the match up? When Inoue started to use his speed and inflicted his power, Butler became so defensive. Inoue even attempted to simultaneously lower his hands so that Butler could attack but also lower his defense. Japan and Inoue had a fantastic evening.

Inoue through an interpreter said that he is now thinking about moving up to super bantamweight.

It's predicted to be that way but nobody knew that the fight will reach as far as Round 11, most of the bettors and fans calculated that 6-8 rounds will be enough for Inoue to box Butler and defeat him but the unexpected happened because the latter weathered all those strong punches until the 11th round came and his defense gave him up. Nevertheless, it was a good fight although it will be more interesting if Butler at least gave a few good combinations but he didn't.

Congratulations to the 1st undisputed boxer of the Bantamweight division, Naoya Inoue! Cool

There were reports that surface saying that Spence is involved in another vehicular accident.

Quote
The undefeated WBA/WBC/IBF welterweight champion was the victim in a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening at an undisclosed location in the greater Dallas area. Spence’s SUV was hit head-on by an underage and unlicensed driver who ran a red light.

https://www.boxingscene.com/errol-spence-involved-accident-car-totaled-being-struck-by-underage-unlicensed-driver--171075

He was not hurt but complain about his legs though, but at least he is safe now.

Don't know what's with Spence that this is the second time that he is involved in this kind of accident. Although this one he is the victim, but still, could be a career ending injuries for him. The driver is underage and doesn't have any license, ouch.

Not the 2nd time, this is his 3rd car crash.

I don't know what's with Errol Spence Jr. but it seems to me that he is a magnet to streets when it comes to accidents and for that, he should ought to have a personal driver to drive him whenever he wanted to go or to run for his errands. He shouldn't be driving around solo because his talents will go to waste if his legs or arm will be harmed badly. Good thing that he is already safe, but those legs tho, he's saying that it hurts badly.

Thanks for the correction, yeah, same question as well, he is like a magnet for any vehicular accident waiting to happen hehehe.

Yeah, that legs is very important to a boxer too, that's how they dance, the move with their legs. Anyone see Manny Pacquiao's massive lower leg? that's where he got his power. So if a boxer doesn't have good legs most likely he can't hold himself and every time someone touches them in the chin they can easily go down.

Hopefully Spence case is different and he can recover his legs from this accident.

Yes, indeed! Aside from where they are getting their form when giving strong punches, those legs are the ones who acts as stronghold when they are receiving heavy punches too especially the ones you stated. Without those good legs, these boxers are easy to defeat. Hopefully Spence will be okay in a matter of days and it's not that really serious.

Still no news on their upcoming fight, don't know what's the hold up. Both camps should be ready to finish the dialogue much sooner to give their boxer's good time to prepare.

And with this Teo Lopez win, he will be the 2nd mandatory fighter and will probably waiting for the winner of Prograis vs Ramirez. This is a new territory for Lopez and there is no going back and it will be harder for him moving forward. Yes, he won but it seems that he was exposed by Martin as well. But for sure he will be respected if he can beat any of the belt champion right now. But as per Martin, Lopez might find it difficult against Prograis because Regis is a harder puncher. But we will see, let's wait for the result of Prograis vs Ramirez first or even Taylor vs Catterall rematch in this division.

Prograis is a nightmare match up for anyone at 140 lbs, although he lost to Josh Taylor, it was a very close and hard fought match, others score it a draw (including myself). So I don't think Lopez could win against the top dog in this division. Maybe he will have a difficult time against Catterall if they fought.

And then he became the mandatory, and should be waiting for the winner of the Prograis vs. Ramirez. And if there's no boxing politics between, then this fight could be made, either winner though will be a very exciting match up for Lopez.

Either Prograis or Ramirez, it will be a tough fight for Lopez. I know it's still premature to have my take but I think Prograis will prevail in this fight than the latter because he's more technical and do have a good IQ in the ring. I know both of them fell short when they fought against Taylor but Prograis-Taylor fight was quite close rather than it was with Ramirez.

Anyway, back on Teo Lopez. He should start improving soon because Sandor Martin gave the top dogs some hint how to engage his weakness. It will be tough for sure but he need to endure it if he still wanted to be named as one of the champions in super lightweight division.

with only 1 loss in this division, Regis Prograis is really a nightmare, for Teofimo Lopez but knowing Lopez he would surely take this on he really wants this badly, in getting much division and turn himself into a legend he needs this fight, for sure he still not in the middle of what he is after, and he doesn't have much time because like another boxer ring rust is the enemy of many boxers and fighters so they need to push through, but yes it will be a big challenge for Teofimo Lopez and this is also for his career,

I have to admit that I missed watching that Taylor-Prograis unification bout nor did I watch a full replay. Highlights can be biased to judge a fight. Gone are the days when I cannot miss good match-ups, especially a unification fight between 2 undefeated fighters. I did take a look at the punch stats and I was surprised that Prograis was winning it easily.

I also do not see Teofimo Lopez winning against Prograis. Prograis is not that skilled but his power can either score a KO or change a tempo of a fight. Bob Arum will try to make it safe for Teofimo. All the top names in 140 belong to Top Rank anyways except Prograis whose promoter seems willing to work with any promoters and networks. Maybe Bob will allow Ramirez to fight Prograis. If Ramirez wins it could be a fight with Teofimo but if Prograis wins, I doubt Bob will do that. I even doubt Ramirez will face Prograis since they are looking forward to the WBO belt which will either become vacant or face Catterall.

Prograis seems a tough boxer that can fight toe to toe, his toughness is his advantage against Teofimo Lopez, so I have the same opinion that Lopez will be having a hard time against Prograis.  And if ever Lopez decided to confront Prograis and had an exchange of blows, there is a higher percentage that Lopez will kiss the canvas.

And then he became the mandatory, and should be waiting for the winner of the Prograis vs. Ramirez. And if there's no boxing politics between, then this fight could be made, either winner though will be a very exciting match up for Lopez.

Hopefully, there is none (politics) on this one or the camp or Lopez evading the winner of that fight.

That Knockout from Sandor Martin I really thought it was just a graze it was scored as a Knockout by the referee, you can see that Sandor Martin just exposes Teofimo Lopez Martin did a great job but the cut from his nose might be unbearable but Teofimo Lopez would need to rally some points so he can make up for that bad performance on the beginning of the round it was a split decision a close call for Lopez and regarding this fight he will have a hard time of his career moving forward, that is for sure,
