^^ Isn't it kinda late though? 6 weeks will not be enough to prepare both fighters, although Davis just had a tune up, while Ryan chooses to not to go that way. So he might be in a disadvantage unless he is really training already or this fight.

But in any case, it's a good update for this fight and maybe we can say that 99% that it is going to happen.

Maybe around April-June would be my guesstimate on this fight.

Tank Davis might not have rested and continues to train after his recent fight and Ryan Garcia might presently be training for Tank before the cancellation of his own fight scheduled on January. I also assume that Tank and King Ry signed the contract for April 15. They might be ready to fight next month if they did not need time for promoting this hehehe. Only an injury would cause a postponement for this fight, I reckon.

We don't have much choice but to get used about the harsh reality of this world because people are indeed getting favors and favored if they are famous and rich as money can almost buy anything in this world, and if money can't get through, then their influence should perhaps do the trick. In the case of Tank Davis, he and his camp decided plead guilty in-exchange for a shorter jail time because that case is almost impossible to avoid and that maybe the biggest fact why the fight suddenly came into reality as they already know that Tank is going to jail to do his time.
Any one that is not famous does not get that deal and gets throw in jail. Instead he still gets 1 of the biggest fights of the year. I still want to see the fight happen and I am wanting Garcia to knock him out but I still do not understand how Tank gets a contract and a big fight after pleading guilty. Especially because he knew he hurt people and he fled the crime scene any way. I used to be a Tank fan but I have lost a lot of respect and I wish he decided to turn down the fight because he needs time for self reflection after doing something like that. I think he is a good person and the pressure might have got to him but taking a fight and trying to continue like normal like nothing has happened so soon after the event knowing he will earn millions it is just not something I agree with. I think boxing should reevaluate their discussion too.

The odds are closing tighter probably because a lot of people are betting against Tank now. I wonder how much this will be on his mind while in the fight and if it could affect him. If it does Garcia odds are very good for any one who has not picked a side yet.

At last! The court case has played a major role why both camps has confirmed the fight much earlier and set aside the issues where a rematch clause should happen. If it wasn't for Tank's hearing this coming May, both camps are still dancing back and forth trying to solve their withstanding issue that prohibit both fighters from setting up the ring.

Anyway, this should be it. A fight that is touted to amass tens of millions of dollars because both camps has established strong influence in the boxing community and has a large fan base that supports both Tank and Ryan Garcia. Looking forward to hear more news in the upcoming weeks and not a nonsense talk that will make the fight in vain again.

An early confirmation is good. At least people will stop speculating about the possibility of this fight not happening. They have already signed a contract, which means they are obliged to fight on the scheduled date. With that, I think they are now fully focused on their training in preparation for this big fight.

Garcia will now be tested. He talks a lot on social media, so let's see if he'll bring that talk into the ring with a real monster like Tank Davis.
The speculation will continue a lot of boxing fights fail close to the fight. Injuries and other reasons could stop the fight but I do not think it should be taking place any way Tank is a criminal who admitted his guilt and he gets rewarded by getting away with it and getting a mega fight that will earn him a lot of money. I know people make mistakes but he should have received a harsher penalty then he did. He knew he hurt people and he fled the scene after driving recklessly.

Its been a long drama and reluctancy, now that the contract was signed, it is a relief to those who wanted to watch these two fight in the ring. It is a good thing that the court influenced the outcome of the contract.  Now let us wait and see if Ryan Garcia will really KO Tank Davis in the 2nd round as Ryan Garcia keep on boasting.

Well all the hesitation and rumors that the fight will not commence is answered now that both camp has signed and is ready to fight as scheduled.

I would love to see Garcia being shamed and lost because he utter lots of non-sense in social media, lol but wait, I think I want Garcia to win since I am betting on the odds that will give me more winnings.  Anyway, seriously  I am still unsure if Davis really have the advantage here.

Anyway, are there predictions about the odds that had leaked already or is it still floating?

I'm not sure if the odds are really accurate, but here are the odds I found on the internet.

Ryan Garcia, +250
I confirmed it with my bookie, but they don't have any available odds for this specific fight. So there's no chance to confirm it. But at least it gives us an idea of who the favorites and underdogs are for the fight. As you can see, Davis is a heavy favorite, which opens up a huge opportunity for Ryan Garcia's backers.
Thank you, bro. The idea is all I need for now because there might be changes once the fight is set in stone. We still need to wait about Tank Davis' case as it may hinder the date of the fight or worse it won't even happen.
Looks like Ryan Garcia will be the heavy underdog just like most trends predicted. Bad news for the gamblers out there including me as I really want this to be as close as possible for a better profit.
Ryan Garcia +250 is good odds especially because I think the fans will turn against Tank Davis because of his recent charges and getting away with it. I hope that happens and it might give Garcia the edge because the entire venue will be supporting him. I think Garcia is dangerous any way and he has the potential to end this fight before I learned about the hit and run but I think that distraction and guilt that Tank Davis has will affect him in training and training camp. He might not be prepared for the fight like he normally would and Garcia has a good gas tank and some quick hands. I see a finish for Garcia.
Well, if he is proven not guilty then why would he think about it? I bet he will be celebrating with his camp when the judges decide like that.
As for mental toughness, I do think boxers had a strong one, it won't be a distraction for them as I have watched him so focused even if his opponents are raining punches at him.
I am sure he will be prepared, it's not like he is getting away from this fight, I bet he want it too, to silence every drop of doubt about him.
@Oasisman thanks for the update.

After all, boxing fight nowadays is not about glory or fame but most likely about money and they will face each other this time because the fans want it and they will gonna risk their record here and become high-profile boxers with huge talent fees.
Even though they're risking their record in this fight, actually they shouldn't be worried because they have fanatic fans Cheesy

These people doesn't care if it's true or not, if that's words come from their idol, they will follow it and protect his idol at all cost. So whoever will lose, his boxing career wouldn't end and no one will interested to watch it. I believe if the loser in this fight with an ordinary boxer, he still become favorite in that's match.

This gives me relief, I thought the fight would never happen this year, but here we go folks. Per Mike Coppinger, both fighters have already signed for an April 15 superfight in Las Vegas.
Well, everyone thought the fight might happen in May, but nah it's a month earlier than expected. Can't wait for this fight.

You own the pen

This is a very good news update! It appears both of the teams of Tank and King Ry are quite certain that they can promote this superfight quite easily if they remained to keep the date on April 15. It is only 8 days left for February and they only have 1 month and 2 weeks after this for promotions and letting everyone know about the fight and convince everyone to buy tickets and pay per views.

That is not a bad decision because I think they plan to fight 1 or 2 more before the end of this year because they are both getting into real war and whoever wins this fight will have a huge income when he gonna face a challenger and that would be their first priority that's why they need to rush this one. After all, boxing fight nowadays is not about glory or fame but most likely about money and they will face each other this time because the fans want it and they will gonna risk their record here and become high-profile boxers with huge talent fees.

Live with peace and enjoy life!
^^ Tank will have to go to a another court hearing if I'm not mistaken about another case on his, hit and run. And I think this is one issue that both sides have been looking ever since they want to have this fight because it's out of their control. We don't know what will be the judges decision.

As far as the prices, $70 and as high as $79.99 has been the standard for boxing.

I agree that they should lowered the price, but everything is affected by inflation and so every business is increasing their prices nowadays including tickets.
Yes, Tank is still subject for another court hearing just last week I guess and Tank pleaded guilty of the said incident but the judge marked that there was no agreement yet of what penalty will Tank has to face so it might be or might not be the fight with Ryan Garcia will be push through. I just hope the fight will still be happening hopefully this coming April 15. With regards to the ticket prices, I’m not sure if the organizers have to lower down their prices as it’s still obvious that even if the price remains high and expensive, a lot of fans would still crave to watch the fight in Las Vegas.

the sentencing is in May. so high likely that they will push thru their fight in April. that will possibly affect davis training. this may be davis' last fight before he goes to prison or whatever sentence the judge will give to him. for now, seems that this situation will be on garcia's favour. or this will give the more reason for davis to win, to pay for his damages to the victims and other legal fees.

Unfortunately, that's how the world works, rich and influential people can get away with it.

Anyhow, it's really hard to fathom that, but we might as well stay away from that issue and just again, hope that fight will happen. And probably this is one reason why so many people hate him like Bradley who also wishes that Ryan Garcia will knock him out cold so send him a rude awakening. Yeah, that ankle issue or him in a wheelchair could just be marketing ploy to sway people's opinion on him. But the question is, will it influence us? I don't think so.
I do not want to watch a criminal that has bribed his way out of jail if we do I hope to god that Ryan Garcia knocks him out in the 1st round. Why do so many fighters at the top of their career like Tank end up breaking the law and it is not small laws it usually includes them hurting and nearly killing people and then they get away with it. He should be stripped of his boxing license and not competing any more but boxing is corrupt and just want to make money from him and I bet they use this as a way of promoting the fight. It is disgusting what they do.

Again, I don't want to engage on such debates as what they do outside of their boxing career.

I do not think we should ignore the issue because we are part of the problem. He deserves to be booed out of the ring win or lose. He hurt a pregnant lady and he just run off. That is disgusting and shows his cowardice. I hope Garcia feels the same way and has extra motivation to knock him out and I hope he gives a post win speech about how disgusting it is that the boxing commission continues to support criminals.

Just like Floyd though, he has been booed inside and outside of the ring, but we can't deny his success.

So in any case we don't like the boxers, so it's better to bet against them, in this case go with Ryan and with a knockout win, specially if he will be the underdog in this fight. It will be very much satisfying if he is going to knock Tank Davis, it could break the internet with meme's.

But if by chance Davis won, then Tank haters will grow more.

Not sure though how he can strengthened his chin, I mean there is no such training that could help your chin from power punchers. Amir Khan for example is known to have a china chin, even when he trains with Freddie Coach and then they to improved it, nothing has changed for Amir, still weak chin and when someone touches it, either KO or he will quit in his stool. Hector Garcia to be fair just move up in weight to fight Tank that's why it was really a mismatch. Anyhow, this is really a good fight and hopefully the plan to happen this year will not be derail by Tank's court case.
Take some punches from heavier weights. Cheesy That's how you can strengthen those damn chins or you can endure staying awake even though you are taking a beating from a heavy puncher. Getting used to it. That's all the training that I could see for him to stay in the fight even though something like the Tank's fist got him.
Yeah, let's hope this will really happen.
There's so much hype happening on social media already and it will be tragic if the case of Davis will be the one preventing it to materialize.

This is the best fight of Tank Davis because we all know that how Garcia will fight inside the ring and also we are seeing a good fight because tank Davis will be stronger if he study the technique of Davis and we all know that tank Davis will do his very best to win this match and also we all know that Garcia is doing great right now and base on. His performance on last fight we can see his determination and good strategy.
Well, his last fight, the other Garcia, Hector had some good start but when Tank Davis found his rhythm it became a different story.
Davis is a slow starter, he won't even try a lot of punches but most of them will surely be accurate. Out of 239 thrown, 99 landed versus 345 thrown and 55 landed for Hector.
I don't want to underestimate Ryan Garcia though as he will probably come prepared for those heavy punches that Davis will throw. He may have also strengthened his chin just in case he will be caught by one of those lethal punches.
Hector felt it, his corner felt it too that's why they hurriedly climb the ring just to stop the fight.

Not sure though how he can strengthened his chin, I mean there is no such training that could help your chin from power punchers.
