Oh ok, I initially thought that April-May is not feasible but I guess both camps are really eager to make this fight as early as April. And yes, gambling capital is the best bet for this fight to take place, win win for both Ryan and Tank as both of their fans can travel to watch the fight.

Definitely, if you buy the PPV for sure you will enjoy it, there could be under cards that is great to watch. Upcoming fighters that wanted to make a name for themselves. So change in the odds, Davis still the betting favorite.

April of this year is the best date for this mega fight between Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis as the latter would never fight again in years after the result of the sentencing in May would turn out against him. As a boxing fan, I'm glad that this fight has finally materialized while both of them are in their prime.

Loma, the future opponent of the winner of this fight speculated that Tank Davis will destroy the young Garcia which in turn upset the latter hehe. I think the length and height advantage of Garcia will pose a problem for the smaller Tank Davis, just like what we saw in his recent fight with Hector Garcia.

^^ Yeah, should be in Vegas for that week and it will be huge for the city again as gamblers are going to flock on the city and probably there will be whales along the way to put a bet on this fight and play on casinos as well.

Davis still the huge favorite here, as I have initially, imagine what will be store for us if this two finally do their weigh in and face off. For sure as their is animosity between this two, there will be a lot of bad mouthing and hearing expletive words in the press conference.

I think the OP has to change the date on the thread title. Instead of May, they should put April 2023, as that's the official month when this fight is going to happen. Since this is a big fight, there will surely be a huge limit on it, and both whales and typical bettors will certainly watch this fight. However, since I cannot go, I will just buy the PPV and bet live. I will still be entertained, I guess.

If you want to do some free streaming, there are certainly plenty of illegal options, but they might not provide the best experience. So, it's okay to spend a bit on PPV. Watch it with your friends and family, and don't forget to place a bet on this specific fight. As for the undercards, I don't know who will be fighting, but they add value to the event, and I will certainly still watch them.

Here we go boys, it's official now,

https://twitter.com/Gervontaa/status/1629214312949751808

And several media outlets are also reporting it, so its' going to be April 22. Everyone is right though, maybe the biggest stumbling block is the court case of Tank Davis, sentencing is May 5 so after this fight, then he has another one in court.

Nevertheless his legal team are going to handle that so there should be no distractions for him and Garcia as well to make this fight happen on April. For sure everyone now is very excited that finally, we have a date and just waiting for what venue it is in Las Vegas.

If both KO artists reach 12 rounds, I think it would be a very entertaining fight as they would surely give their all to impress the judges. However, honestly, I don't think this fight will go the distance, based on the average number of rounds in their previous fights. I predict that the fight will last a maximum of 10 rounds, and I will definitely bet on that once the odds are out.
There is no way both of these fighters can take each others best punch so if it does teach the full rounds then it is probably a poor fight. I think Tank is going to be dancing around and looking to score points while Garcia will be looking to knock him out. The only way Garcia can win is through knockout because the judges will be biased towards Tank because they will want to protect his legacy and record. Ryan Garcia is a young fighter and will have a chance to challenge for the belts again and will make a good career so they have a long time to build his career. If they protect Tank they can sell more fights and make more money but if he loses there will only be the rematch money. Even if this is not true and Garcia can win by decision I hope he treats it like he needs to knock out Tank because I would not want to risk it against the favorite fighter.

Both are going to look to score a knockout victory, that's how either can shut each other mouth. Tanks has been doing that though, dancing around his opponent until he get that one chance to hit and rock him and then after that, he will take over the fight. As compare to Ryan, we feel in love with his left hook to score a knockout. I don't think though that the judges are going to be biased here, if they did, then for sure the boxing community are going to call them out for poor scoring. So they should score it fairly.

I'm sure that they already know how to balance their training routines and that also includes rest.
Yup, it should have that to make sure they are not overusing their body to avoid further injuries.

Quote
They have their training team to check on them and make sure that they are doing enough rest along while meeting the training requirements and preparing for their matches.

That's the use of trainers, to condition them and to make sure that they are fully equipped before the actual fight date.

Quote
Some boxers prefer overtraining because of their eagerness to win and we can't question them for that because they all have different levels of willingness and eagerness when it comes to being victorious of their titles.

The eagerness to win always gave fighters inspiration to keep trying to excel with their current skills, trying to earn and learn more
to have decent advantages against their opponents.

While each fighter may have their own training style, they need to ensure that it will benefit them in the upcoming fight. Rest is important, but it's also crucial for a fighter to be ready for the fight. Overtraining can cause problems and make a fighter struggle during the actual fight. It's important to remember that this is a big fight, and neither fighter cannot be too complacent. They will both do everything they can to perform their best on the day of the fight.

I'm sure they know how to train, don't you think they've always trained well, and before this fight they suddenly start training even harder and thereby hurt themselves? ) Each of them has gone a long way and they know how and what to do in order to be in optimal shape, especially since they have trainers who follow this. What they need to be ready for in this fight is that it is possible for a full 12 rounds fight, which means they will need good stamina.

I would not necessarily have to agree with you. Of course they know the right way to train and I am sure that they also know better and perhaps riskier ways to train. There have been more than enough cases of professionals training to the extreme because of an upcoming match. And sometimes they overdo it. Not because they want to overextert themselves but rather because they train until they are in a tunnel vision. Sometimes dedication to training becomes a unnoticeable thing. Even for professional boxers.

They are only human, after all. Fiery passion can lead to overexertion.

Maybe, but usually fighters took at least a week off, as far as I know. I mean they will train hard for a certain fight like in the case of Davis against Hector Garcia who gave him a tough fight. So a week off to be with his family and then he has the court case to think about.

Ryan Garcia could be training, but not that much if the fight is not yet sign and delivered because his training will be wasted.

Right now, have we heard of any official announcement that this fight is going to happen April as schedule?

We can't say that there will be overtraining, on the contrary, a 6 weeks camp might not be enough to really be in form, or they are under training. As usually boxers and there trainers need minimum 8 weeks to be in their optimum and maybe 12 weeks right on the money and they are in their prime.

Both have their own style of trainings, but yes, rest is very important, not just for their body, but for their mind as well. Specially that Davis has a lot in his personal life to deal after his victory against Hector Garcia.

^^ Isn't it kinda late though? 6 weeks will not be enough to prepare both fighters, although Davis just had a tune up, while Ryan chooses to not to go that way. So he might be in a disadvantage unless he is really training already or this fight.

But in any case, it's a good update for this fight and maybe we can say that 99% that it is going to happen.

Maybe around April-June would be my guesstimate on this fight.

Tank Davis might not have rested and continues to train after his recent fight and Ryan Garcia might presently be training for Tank before the cancellation of his own fight scheduled on January. I also assume that Tank and King Ry signed the contract for April 15. They might be ready to fight next month if they did not need time for promoting this hehehe. Only an injury would cause a postponement for this fight, I reckon.

They are certainly training hard because this is the biggest fight of their careers. No one can afford to be complacent as a single mistake can result in a significant loss. Both fighters are KO artists, so I am confident that this fight will provide a high level of entertainment for the crowd. As for predicting the winner, it is difficult, but based on the betting odds, we already have an idea of who is likely to win.
I know they are training hard but Tank Davis has had other things going on in his life which could impact the amount of quality training he had which could affect his stamina or his confidence before the fight. I bet Garcia has been training all year long for this fight because it would be the biggest fight of his career and his biggest pay check. Tank Davis has had these fights before and probably bigger pay checks so the motivation is not the same and he has had a stressful court case which definitely interrupted his training. I think when we look at what has been going on in his life I think the odds are too big in favor of Tank because there are risks of him not training good enough for this fight. I think he underestimates Garcia too.

Right, they have bee going on since late December, so they might have been a head start training for this two. But still though, they might go full hard training in the next 6 weeks if the fight goes official.

Hopefully there were no injuries suffered in their training, there were news about Tank's injury but he deny it by issuing a video.

On Garcia's side we haven't heard anything of reported injuries. So they might be training very hard now.

Yeah, that's also what I predicted about the outcome of this fight. Just one big mistake will surely end the game. Tank Davis maybe known for his high KO rate but so is Ryan Garcia.
I think he will be taking advantage of the way Davis starts slow and that may be the biggest window for an early win.
But there might also be a chance he will change strategy and be aggressive in the first round which will surprise the camp of Garcia. There's so much different speculations about what the outcome could be, but IMO a knockout will definitely be the ending.
