Tank Davis alleges that Ryan is into something,

Quote
Gervonta “Tank” Davis tossed a grenade on Twitter on Saturday alleging that Ryan Garcia is “definitely on something” in response to a picture of a clothed Garcia embracing super welterweight Tim Tszyu.

Not sure where Davis is coming from, is this the best he can do to hype the fight? hehehe

Possibly, but Davis thinks that Ryan Garcia is taking illegal drugs since he saw that Ryan Garcia's built is somehow different.  But well, we will know that once a drug test is done on both boxer.

Or it was like some kind of excuse that when Ryan beat him, he will say that he is all juice?  Grin

Ryan responded that he doesn't even take vitamins.

I think the way he saw how Ryan is well built gave him some worries lol.  So he thinks that Ryan is into something.

Here is the video for those who are interested to see the built of Ryan.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYw2MPn2anY

Probably just the rest of those boxers, it's off season for him that's why he might be putting some pounds. And remember that he is a tall guy, and that's why he said that he won't be fighting at 135 lbs and in last 2 fights its all in the catchweight of almost 140 lbs.

And in the Davis fight it will be in another catchweight of 136 lbs.

Garcia vs Davis, will divide the fans, but just like bookies sees this fight, I think Davis has more believers that he would win the fight.

Really hard to see who will win because both have a knockout punch, but as per the bookies, I'm seeing that they will put Tank as favorite. And if this is the case, for Ryan, he should proved them wrong by winning this fight.

After this fight one of them is not undefeated anymore, and I believe that Ryan Garcia will give Tank Davis a good fight. He keeps challenging great champions, now it's his time to shine, beating Tank Davis will make his ranking skyrocket and he will definitely earn more big fights ahead.

Yeah, that is the aim of Ryan Garcia and his target has been Davis in this division. He could have look for Teo Lopez before, when he had the belt, but he didn't call him out, instead he is laser focused on defeating Tank Davis.

Davis as well, he didn't fight Teo or Loma so both don't have real belts to begin with.

It's that they are hype, and on the business side, there are money to be made that's why this is the best fight for them. Definitely, someone's 0 will have to go and no longer undefeated.

Actually he didn't even beat any real champions Cheesy

He only won vacant WBC interim title, but he not want to face the real WBC champion boxer e.g. Haney. The other belts he won is from unofficial organization, if we talk about the value, it's worthless since it doesn't need to be number 1 boxer to get those belts.

Garcia biggest fight was against Luke Campbell where he almost lose, Tagoe even though undefeated but doesn't show any fight, while Fortuna is ex champion but now he's already old.

Agreed, however, I would be betting for him with not much expectation of winning money hehehe. Ryan Garcia is a better boxer than many others in his weight division but he is an entertainer more than a fighter much similar to Conor McGregor, I reckon. Tank is the real fighter and the future king in his weight division, very similar to Khabib. However, we cannot underestimate King Ryan's left hook which can certainly knockout tank.

I would not compare Garcia to McGregor though, I think both Garcia and Tank have an equal chance of winning, Khabib is just so good that almost all of his fights are easily won, on the case of Davis it does not work like that for him, especially if he will face Garcia who has a slight advantage on him. This is just my opinion, I could be wrong, so let's just enjoy watching the fight.

Nobody is really wrong and everybody got a point why they chose Garcia over Tank or the opposite thing because truth is, there's not much of a difference about them as they almost got the same skillset. It's just that Ryan got the size while Tank can only boast his experience, but neither will give them that much advantage towards each other. It will be upon them on how will they utilize their talent especially in this fight that both boxer is a KO specialist.

Well I agree, there is no comparison in my opinion, yes he has a lot of social media following, but he still very serious in his fight and so he is not a entertainer but just a boxer who wants to fight the best that's why he has been calling Tank for a long time.

This fight is still very far, they both will get some tune up fight first next month or at the start of the year. So let's wait as the fight gets close, it's going to be fire.

This is a mega fight, everyone is certainly waiting for this to happen. I hope there's no hindrance to this not happening because it will be another big disappointment for the boxing community. We have a rumored Spence vs Crawford but it didn't happen, this one should happen.

Yes, this fight seems to be 100% on the go, and kudos to Oscar Dela Hoya for making this fight happen, he has been telling the media that they have been pursuing this fight for many months and it seems that it has paid off.

Before and after I created this thread, my prediction was always Tank Davis will win because he is the better boxer and the tougher man. However, when I was looking at King Ryan's record more closely, I think he has made the much needed preparations to give him a better than expected chance to win. King Ry has very much prepared himself to fight a 5'6" left handed boxer by fighting 2 left handed boxers in his last 3 fights. The last opponent is Javier Fortuna, he is short and can knockout anyone, having much similarities to Tank. I would laugh at King Ry's bettors last week, however, we cannot laugh if we have studied his preparation more.

Both are great boxers, some fans just don't like Ryan Garcia because he talks so much, but looking at his resume, he can certainly beat anyone as he has the power and speed and the height which is his advantage against Tank Davis.

We have our own prediction though, but I'm pretty sure this is going to be a close fight so let's continue predicting and don't forget to bet once the bookies are ready to accommodate us bettors.

If there's a poll in this thread, I would appreciate it.  Smiley
please OP hear me out.

I would definitely vote for Ryan Garcia, I love the underdog of this fight, it doesn't matter to me if he talks so much because I'm always satisfied with his performance in the ring everytime he has some action. This is probably the first time where he is listed as an underdog, so might as well take that opportunity.

speaking of Ryan Garcia, I remembered that in September he said he almost got into a fight with Tank in a nightclub, so this fight will be the great chance to see who really is the tough guy, I hope Tank will win this fight, in my opinion Tank has more than enough skills to win the fight and that's why I'll bet on him, of course I'll need to see the value of the odds first, after seeing who the bookmaker's favorite will be then I'll do more analysis and bet on the fighter that at that time show signs of being the winner

But I think Ryan here will try to go for a win and train very hard against Tank because it is the key for him to be recognized and maybe fight for the belt next. So I'm not seeing him as entertainer as this stage, that left hook is still very dangerous and could put to sleep anyone including Tank Davis.

Tank Davis no doubt also comes well prepared for this fight, he should also be studying all Ryan's strengths and weaknesses, he won't be caught on Ryan's left hook, at least I believe that, he'll just need to hit the weak points from ryan and won this fight

Conor on the other hand, hype his hype to the point that someone really see him as a entertainer because he doesn't win fights and it's all for fun for him and of course the money. Garcia still chasing greatness.

I mean, I don't know, but it seems like it's impossible for Tank Davis to be portrayed as an underdog, I wish he was, because that would have given me more incentive to bet on him. Regardless, this fight will end in finite and TKO form.

Performance wise, it is clear that Tank Davis has more antiques, he is more skillful than Ryan Garcia. Have you seen how he moves around his opponent making his opponent defenseless?  Ryan Garcia on the other side is all forward, not much of lateral movement and footwork.  Aside from that, popularity and record also shows that Tank Davis is way better than Ryan Garcia, so there is no way Tank Davis will be an underdog here.  Rip your more incentives Grin.

Both fighter are heavy hitter, it is a matter of who will be the lucky one to get the opportunity to land a perfect shot first, that will render his opponent unable to continue.

Davis will keep on moving and attack when Garcia shows unprepared. I like your descriptions and for sure, Davis will
give that entertainment for his fans, knowing him with lots of laterals and footwork in finding the opening.

On the other side, Garcia is more on pushing forward and trying to box his opponent to engage a toe-to-toe exchange of punches. He might
succeed in that style getting Davis in the kind scenario

but if he's not that quick, Davis will take advantage to throw solid combinations, then move away from him.

Well, Ryan Garcia is indeed a tough challenger for Tank Davis but I really don't see any advantages that Garcia might use to the latter except his size. If we say speed and power, surely Tank Davis also got that and even much better compared to Garcia. I know Garcia is good but when it comes to Tank Davis, I think he's just a bit too overrated because he hasn't fought any serious boxers yet unlike the regular champion. Don't know why either Ryan Garcia is too interested in Davis when in-fact he won't be fighting in this division anymore in the years to come, he just can't make the weight needed anymore.

Yes, Ryan Garcia may seem overrated for some people and it seems that is the case here because mostly, avid boxing fans and the bettors will really pick Tank Davis over the younger boxer who doesn't have that much experience and haven't fought big names in the industry as well. But we should know and shouldn't forget that there is a first time for everything, and that Tank Davis might be Ryan Garcia's first trophy. Upset may happen and in this fight, the first one to land that KO punch will have the most chance to win the fight especially that both of them is a KO specialist.

If you are a fan and you see good opportunity for Garcia then it will be very decent odd if you will bet for him, I understand that it will be his
first time being an underdog since he's going to face a real champ here.

A big test for him and if he upset Davis that will bring a good hype to his name and his career, we might see closer fist
exchanging of punches from time to time.

Both are aggressive and really wanted to knock down their opponent, execution of plan strategy will bring the fighter the win.
