Like If I wanted to see profile that was registered in 2015, with 167 Merits and has 777 activity points. I would just feed in the data and get the results of profiles in that range.
You can start at my Merit data, find the latest version, and manually check these users:

It would be a good tool for bursting account sales and other investigations if it's implementable.
I've searched for this several times, without results.
But even if you find a match, anyone can try to sell an account with 13587 Posts, 1946 Activity, 6823 Merit and green Trust. It doesn't prove anything.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Is it possible to create a search filter on the website that can help Zero down to specific profiles using some of this parameters like;
- Number of received Merits,
- Number of Activity Points
- Date or Year of Registration
- Number of posts?

Does anyone know how will BPIP website and extension behave when new forum software is installed?
I started to test new software and I see many changes compared with this, and I think this will break BPIP.
It would not like to lose all the goodies so easy Smiley

When is the purported new forum software coming?

I just gonna quote myself here :

Can't we just move to the new forum, instead of asking for new elements to be added on this old-forum? Its been so many years that the forum has been under development, so it only makes more sense.

Is there an ETA for when the new forum is to be fully out? I see the github commits on the discord bot, but other than that not much Sad

It's not that easy just to migrate to Epochtalk. ETA will be determine by the users, see the below quote. At the moment there are a few running forums with Epochtalk and one of them is supported by Cyrus team so if anyone want to join and help with bug hunting is very welcome here > https://coinbistro.com
If we don't do anything the project will never come to life.
In short: If you want the software quicker, go run your own forum with it, and work to get any problems or missing features you find resolved via bug reports, etc. This would increase public interest, provide much-needed testing, and I might even hire you to work on bitcointalk.org when we're ready to do the final transition here.

Even that I don't agree 100% with theymos on that, for me it will be easier to hire a proper QA and do the job for a month or two instead of dragging this project for years and years, I'm trying to help with it when I have time, like everyone should do.

@OP I get you idea but we have the most important sign, BTC it's enough for me. Let the other altcoin forums bang their heads in the wall on the new shtcoin signs.... Wink

Further questions regarding the New forum sotware are to be posted  here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0
So we do not derail this topic.

Impossible to say. EpochTalk doesn't even have features like merits or trust flags. Scraping the other stuff like users will depend on how it's set up. For example default settings allow showing the full user list but Bitcointalk has that feature disabled in SMF so if it gets also disabled in EpochTalk then we'd have an issue since there are no numeric sequential user IDs (or post IDs, or thread IDs), which we currently depend on for scraping.

Ideally the forum should have a basic API, which would make it easier for everyone, but I'm not holding my breath.

My apologies... But... Not really.... My list was long overdue for a major overhaul.

There were also other changes as well, if that makes anyone feel better Roll Eyes

So how many UID's did owlcatz end up trusting or distrusting?  The Trust Log conks out in the "M's"
"TrustLog" needs an option for "next page" Smiley
I didn't check all, but most of them have negative feedback from JollyGood. This is just going to spam my Trust list viewer too, adding one new page per user per week for the rest of eternity  Shocked Undecided

Or collapse each user's entries unless you click on "more" when there are more than one entry in a 24 hour period.

I just discovered a few typos (which are present on both mobile and desktop views) in the page named "General Information for Profile ID".

In order to reach the bug, you have to perform the following actions:

- launch the site on mobile or desktop
- search (and find) any valid profile
- read the information presented at the following sections of the page: "Registration Date", "Has given XXX merit to YYY profiles (ZZZ merit/profile)", "Has received AAA merit BBB times from CCC profiles" and "Posts XXXX (Rank YYYY)"

Result:
- there is no space after the ":" placed just after "Registration Date" - the section appears this way: "Registration Date:3/28/2018". For consistency and correctness, there should be a space after ":".
-there is an extra space between "(" and the number of merits in the "Has given XXX merit to YYY profiles" section - the section appears this way: "Has given 1982 merit 1503 times to 458 profiles ( 4.3 merit/profile)". For consistency and correctness, there should be no space after "(".
- there is an extra space before ")" in the "Posts XXXX" section - the section appears this way: "Posts 4906 (Rank 437 )". For consistency and correctness, there should be no before ")".
- the term "merit" should be changed with "merits" in the following two sections: "Has given XXX merit to YYY profiles" and "Has received AAA merit BBB times" - the sections appear this way: "Has given 1982 merit 1503 times, to 458 profiles (4.3 merit/profile)" / "Has received 1358 merit 870 times".

I hope this helps.

I agree that the formula should be as simple as possible being on the DT can be included into recognition score. For every period on DT you can get a little extra.

Maybe not so much being in DT but rather some sort of cumulative total of all inclusions and exclusions weighed by something or other (wanted to say merit but that might be wrong).

I'd probably do something like this if I had time, even if it's not part of the recognition score.

That would be nice as some extra stats.

Shouldn't sent merit have some influence over recognition score?
That would mean a higher Recognition score for Merit sources.

Quote
It is a form of iteration between users.
So is received feedback (positive, neutral and negative). Even sent feedback makes a user more recognized, especially if they're on DT. And Trust list inclusions add to it too.

I wouldn't add any of these though.

I had an idea a few days ago. Shouldn't sent merit have some influence over recognition score?

It is a form of iteration between users. Maybe it could have some low weight in the recognition formulate. (less than earned merit ofc)

I would say no, because merit received is influenced by merit sent.

Also, assigning weights to the simple formula will makes the cries of manipulation louder.

Maximum words per minute.
You are scaring me... with this "maximum words per minute" mindset.
I already know I'd trigger this all the time Sad

You would have to exclude some threads such as any data dump threads by LoyceV or tranthidung as well as the known alts thread or any loan threads where lenders and applicants are posting signed messages (or the post your address with (a) signed message thread.

Is there any chance the BPIP.org pages time's can be manually set to either GMT, Local PC clock or even match BitCoinTalk.org 's default time?

BPIP should be on UTC, just like the forum.

When I first programmed it, I did not take time zones into account.  So any lingering issues are probably my initial fault.  :/

BPIP Team - I'd love to make a suggestion for a feature that could help in the fight against spam.

Maximum words per minute.

When you parse a recent post, calculate the length of the post and the time from their last post, to produce their typing speed.  Keep the highest value, and sort by that metric.   You'll easily be able to see people who cut and paste, or just spew out words without context.

You are scaring me... with this "maximum words per minute" mindset.

Snap out of it... VOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Concededly, it would be interesting to see how such a measure might play out from member to member.
