Also for guys looking to try legal process if nothing is resolved in the coming weeks.

https://www.selachii.co.uk/Blog/Btc-e-com.html

These are a pro law firm in london with very good reviews - look like they are big in the game

Oh right, BTC-e owners are anonymous, what are they going to do, sue the blockchain?

Reading a few news articles around now and they are starting to ask questions about legit users funds and whats going to happen, rather than the "this was a laundry and only used for criminals sort of articles"

On the Russian forum, they linked to a tweet with someone asking to send it back to them! :O

"Their wife was having twins in hospital and he had shaky hands and transferred to that wallet by mistake"

No idea how he transferred to that address as it was a fresh one just a few days old for the new ETH?

its abit sketchy on the translations but get some different news time to time:

https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.bits.media%2Findex.php%3F%2Ftopic%2F3087-birzha-btc-ecom%2Fpage-349

another one to watch is the russian thread here:

I don't understand how so called BTC-e new ETH address is getting constantly new incoming transfers.
Also bigger transfer about 10 hours ago, 54.635 Ether

https://etherscan.io/address/0x8eb3fa7907ad2ef4c7e3ba4b1d2f2aac6f4b5ae6

Why would anyone want to throw there ETH coins to the address that is supposed to be under control of US?

Probably looking like a fed controlled wallet then, they collecting all coins form all places to one wallet/address.

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

Anyone every think the admins were fleecing traders?  what better way to pump and dump without owning a coin, heck soon as your BTC hits the exchange its just IOUs and a database.  BTCe was big enough to move the entire market, certainly i think LTC was played , people talk about whales, maybe BTCe admins were the wales eh ? so it was us who were laundered as innocent traders ?  Think about it , btc-e bitcoin price starts surging , totally done with no money but enough to move the market, keep the pressure on over months and you get FOMO kick in, bam all their stolen GOX coins are 10x. Keep arbitrage in check.

then  Alex gets picked up in Greece , admins kick into plan B , siphon begins. BTCe are the mafia ? they only have to run from one side now.

Should i be angry at BTCe admins ?  or uncle Sam ?

The astonishing thing to note here is, how are they even able to withdraw from POLO ?

Polo is withholding EVERY withdrawal. Makes me think, these payments are being sent from polo by the admin himself.

In the end, this story tell me, never trust and never put your asset at internet, after all verturelize is still verturelize; hard working money is the solid stuff that could really fulfill my life.

Words of a poor person who will never get rich..  Lips sealed

Now the btc-e was seized, otherwise I will asking you to redeem your asset in btc-e E-code,
And show on troll box as evidence to prove how rich you are! Sure I will public my poor patty money, too!

Just cheers! I do have my own dreams, but it depends, wish people here
all make their dreams come true through successfully!

That $10.000 incoming was probably a sign to us that they are alive. Check that it was withdrawal from Poloniex wallet.

Never leave any more on an exchange than you are willing to lose...

Are you retarded?  How many times did you think somebody wrote it already? I read it now a 100th fucking time. People repeating it like a fucking parrot because they dont know anything.  It is called TRADING. How one supposed to trade? By sending coins forth and back and what happens if it goes down at the exact moment? And what if you need to stay in fiat because of weekend dumps? No, no, no, you say keep it off exchanges, elite pro trader.

Btce was the most reliable exchange. People trusted it because of that. I have a verified bitstamp account but I traded only really small amounts for arbitrage there. I never trusted bitstamp, too - thats another reason.

If you dont lose anything get the hell out of here and dont feed your life from our grief.

+1 Great post,

People used BTC-e for trading not for bitcoin storage. Btc-e had one of the best APIs out there.

500 million on the move and very very little media coverage...  Uncle Sam sure knows how to keep the smoke signals down.   This is as big as GOX and look what it got press wise, also zero impact on BTC price as lots of the Bitcoin news desks are heavily invested and promoting other positive news in the hope no one notices.

Lol I was thinking the same thing.

The worst part of this story is t many peoples in the Bitcoin community are happy to see btc-e down. Like the US government they think all btce's users are criminals .

NO one is happy BTC-E is down......cept Uncle Sam & hope he chokes on those coins.....IF it IS the US.....I have read a quite a few articles & it looks like it is,but I still have doubts on who's behind the coin movements.

Never leave any more on an exchange than you are willing to lose...it IS gambling & your odds are better here in crypto than in a casino or Wallstreet,BUT,if YOU mitigate those odds by being greedy, then those odds get stacked against you by several fold.

I wish EVERYONE who is missing funds in BTC-E the best of luck,I hope you folks take this as learning opportunity & spread your funds a little better in the future!!!  Wink

All the reasons they gave for stealing the domain and "fining" them were all bullshit lies.

They claim there were "bulletin boards" where people were selling drugs and the like. I think they are referring to the trollbox, where people would say just about anything for lulz.

Then they say btc-e did not verify identities. That's bullshit because they had one of the strictest identity verifications I had ever seen. It took me days to get verified (and I am American).

As far as people using it for criminal activities... far more people use BANKS every single day for criminal activities than ANY bitcoin trading site.

This is an obvious ploy for the US Govt to try to take control of bitcoin, lock down their worthless fiat and strike a blow to Russia all at the same time.

BTC-E was one of the OLDEST trading sites around. If they had been ripping people off they would not have lasted this long (incidentally, if people were being ripped off the united states government wouldn't give a shit anyway, they only care about their own interests not their citizens').

I hope these charges don't stick and I am still an avid BTC-E supporter.

They can try to stop bitcoin but it's unstoppable. No government in the history of the world has ever been able to stop trade, and currency has classically evolved on its own with zero government involvement. Closing down one site will just  piss off a bunch of people and 20 more will pop up (not to mention the financial incentives for doing so).

Old style media, old style banking, old style telecommunications and old style government is all changing and the old guard are going to try to do everything in their power to stop it.
