Revised Odds:

1) Btc-e does a deal with the US, pays fine, re-opens: 10% (smart business)
2) Btc-e runs with the money 1% (dumb)
3) Btc-e gives the US the finger and re-opens under a new domain: 25% (Russian style big balls)
4) Feds take all funds and keep it for the benefit of humanity: 2% (crypto apocalypse)
4) Feds take funds and refund people in a reasonable timeframe: 1% (bleak)
5) Btc-e refunds users: 61% (true love)

These statistics are 100% accurate, please do not argue with the truth

Wait what? Where is the blowjob? :O

He accepted my suggestion that there's zero chance for that, and odds of 0% are not listed, a correct move.  Grin

Yes, if the exchange goes back online I'm keeping everything there, I'm aware of the risk fbi or whoever will attack again, but I want to support them. Just because they didn't run with our money, and they could, if they want

"To date, part of the service funds were arrested by FBI"

Probably the fiat.

hot wallets for automated trade settlement

Although... they really chose to put the hot wallets on US resident servers?

Btce was the most reliable exchange.

Define reliable.  It was an exchange run in an unregulated grayzone with no oversight, by completely anonymous people who may have turned out to be money launderers.

If you truly want a safe & reliable exchange, pick one that is regulated and overseen by someone.  Or one that makes their ownership and management public.

As it is, one of two things is the case:

1. The FBI has the cryptocurrency, in which case it is evidence in a criminal investigation and unlikely to be released before a conclusion of that investigation and trial.  No one knows what happens after all that concludes - the FBI generally will auction off criminal money, but not necessarily legitimate assets.

2. The FBI does not have the crypto, in which case what happens to it depends on whomever is left at BTC-E - people who we still have no idea who they are, where they are, or what their intentions are.

It's a still a trust-based game.  Hopefully it works out for everyone, but it is essentially crapshoot at this point.

wow this forum really is full of jealous retards lol . what a bunch of useless ppl all in 1 place. maybe if you all actually knew something about crypto you wouldnt be hanging around here adding trash .
i would of thought most of you would be more suited to medical forums where you could make ppl feel bad about cancer and tumors and other stuff you know nothing about .  i pray none of you join btce when its back ,the last thing crypto needs is ppl like this actually taking part ,you are better suited here you fit right in.

JUST BUY MORE TIMES

if you are stupid you can believe them . they never back ... they just need enough time  Grin Grin

all scamers always use these words  Cheesy

Right.
Always and always they use these words.
E-gold, libertyreserve, mtgox and so on.

Lying. Why you even post here?

E-Gold:  FBI refunded people and owner even wanted to restart the business.

libertyreserve: Everybody arrested and everything seized and stolen by FBI and nobody said everything will be allright, they were just offline.

mtgox: Delusional Karpeles thought he had everything still under control.

This may be true. I feel they are just biding for time. But then I think: What will time do for them now? If they are going to disappear, they have already disappeared. The FBI has a better chance than any of us chump traders do anyway. Grin

Cry

Are you in a way retarded, that you do not understand the phrase? Your interpretation of "buying time" is ridiculous. Buying time to achieve exactly what?

Well, lets assume this right, that they are buying time. Ok, hey FBI agents, you can take your holiday now, btce just bought some time.

And hey mafia type of guy who put $500k into btce and now looking forward to put a bullet into them and their children, you can just wait to look for them, they just bought some time.

Refund suggestion:

Metroid:      5$
Fontas:       0$

We shall refund so that those how have a little (< 100 ETH) will get more than 1000 ETH and those how have more (> 1000 ETH) will get under 100 ETH.

This way most of us will be happy and few of use will be extremely mad.

It's not about making the most people happy, it's about being fair.

There's no way they'll do that.

you are high all the time. where do you take the weed from.... now, that Alphabay was closed?   Grin Cheesy

For the record, I have a life of virtue, clean living and vegitarianism. My only vices are eating cakes when a trade goes bad, wanking and pissing besides French motorways because I refuse to pay to use the ones in the service station.

Latest update from BTC-E...

https://twitter.com/btcecom/status/891928666065707008

....

More detailed information about what happened to the BTC-e service.

On July 25, 11:00 the FBI staff came to the data center where our server equipment was located and seized all equipment, the servers contained databases and purses of our service.

Almost for 6 days we could not get from our hosting provider the sane information, what happened to our servers because of this information we publish only now.

July 28, the domain was confiscated.

To date, part of the service facility was arrested by the FBI

The next update will include information on what options are available to restore the service, and also the procedure for obtaining funds, in the event that the service is not started. In the current situation, if the service is not started before the end of August, then from September 1 we will start the process of refund.
In the next 1-2 weeks, we will evaluate and publish information about how much money fell into the hands of the FBI and what amount of funds is available for return.

For all those who buried us, I will remind you that the service has always worked on trust and we are ready to answer for it.
The funds will be returned to everyone!

Arrest of the Russian Vinnyk Alexandra:
Officially declare - Alexander was never the head or employee of our service.

Sincerely btc-e

P.S. In the subject write questions as far as possible we will answer them.

I told you before. All of these are trick. FBI has nothing to do with it. This is a Exit scam. The domain seized is fake and has been created with owners of btc-e. They will never return. They will never refund. Find them and rip their stomach and bring out our money from it. pay to Mafia for it.

You'd better be careful with such comments:
next day feds will fill a report about bitcointalk users openly discussing drug sale.

You know the feds have been here already, right?
