I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?
If you're willing to hold for long term then Bitcoin is the good option because it's a reliable coin and less risky. However don't expect to gain like x10 or more of your initial investment since it's only possible in alts that didn't reach yet their all time high, though this kind of coin is hard to find.

So it's up to you on what you prefer. Is it to invest in Bitcoin which is already proven to be profitable if you invest but it might take time before you can gain? Or alts such as ETH, BNB or a hidden gem that have high risk compared to Bitcoin but can possibly give you huge profit? DYOR to have a better understanding before you invest.

For now my biggest portion is altcoins, I check about 92% and bitcoin is only about 8%, in my opinion for bigger profits only if we hold altcoins, the opportunity to profit 100% is easier than bitcoin, this is because most altcoins prices are still cheap, Moreover, some of the altcoins that I hold still cost under $ 1 so that I have the opportunity to profit hundreds or even thousands of percent.

investing now I think is not a problem because the decline in altcoins is already above -50% like bitcoin is already in a downward position. imagine if the bull season comes to exceed last year's ATH price of 69k$ maybe next year's ATH will be higher than 69k$. coin owned from now there will be a 100% increase in the upcoming bull season

If we think about current stage, then this is risky time to invest in cryptocurrency. But it is true that high risk bear high profit also. If you have enough knowledge and experience in crypto then go for Bitcoin because there is low risk compare to altcoins. Market is not stable and if you think to invest on altcoins, it can be a cause of losing your valuable assets.

It all depends on what kind of knowledge you have about cryptocurrency. If you are a beginner and don't know anything, then you should focus on investing in bitcoin and Ethereum. Investing in altcoins will be very risky for you, as it requires knowledge to conduct a comprehensive analysis.

Right now it's really hard to predict altcoin movement. We should be in the bottom but if we are not you can still lose like 50% with altcoins.

Majority of the altcoins have lost like -90% from it's last all time high, so they might have reached the bottom already but we can't be certain as 2023 will still be bearish for us.

I would like to suggest ETH and MATIC but it's hard to predict when fundamentals have changed so much. I mean ETH has a bright future as a platform but that doesn't automatically mean it would be worth a ton. Fees could be cut to be fraction of current costs and with that so would the price.

ETH yeah why not, still solid fundamentals and the top altcoin. Not sure about Matic, hasn't proved itself so I wouldn't put my money and if I have to choose, ADA or BNB for me.

Obviously, majority though should be into Bitcoin like 60% of our portfolio.

never choose  option about Bitcoin mate , because you cannot find another safer and secure currency in crypto than this, yes there are some good promises from altcoins but the stability and the security will never be the same as bitcoin trust me when i said that.

I would say bet on ETH on BNB, they have lots of capabilities that trump BTC, smart contracts allow for so much potential its insane.
example the whole creation of DEXs on chain is a revolutionary technology and a change to how markets work.
illiquid shitcoins can now be traded on a dex without huge pitfalls, I remember trying to trade shitcoins on cryptopia before it went under and illiquid markets are a pain now with LP pools you can trade stuff that was untradable back in the day!

As for investments in crypto-currencies, here you need to turn to the history of the market development, that is, to see how the price of a particular crypto-currency grew earlier. This is me hinting at BTC, that is, investing in BTC, as history has shown, was super profitable. As for other cryptocurrencies or altcoins, you can also follow the same path, that is, track the history of, for example, ETH or LTC and other top altcoins, and choose the best ones in your opinion. This is with regard to investments for the medium and long term. As for short-term investments in cryptocurrencies, it can probably be coins or tokens of new promising projects, such as gaming or related to the metaverse and NFT, but here it is important to understand that there is a high risk of losing funds, which means that the choice must be clear and informed.

your money play at your own risk always do research before investing in crypto that is the main point in investing, don't ask anyone because basically not all have the same mentality, if you want to invest better choose bitcoin for the long term and for altcoins that promise you being able to choose Dogecoin might be your reference, but research first about bitcoin and dogecoin before buying, hope it helps  Wink

It could be both, depends on your specifications on how you put your venture with but definitely I would go to BTC hence this is the buy zone of bitcoin right now due to bad market sentiments. Some altcoins are worth it too, any top 10 on CMC is nice to buy and hold too.
Yes bitcoin is the best among bitcoin and altcoins the demand for bitcoin in the market is huge and the value of altcoins increases depending on the price of this currency. Despite the bad situation in the market, the demand for bitcoin is high if the price goes down if you wait patiently it will rise to the top.

If you hodl your money 2 to 5+ years than go for Bitcoin, Because Bitcoin is best option for long term investment without any doubt.

For short term invest go for altcoin like Matic,Tron,BNB etc.

If you want to get a large return in the long term, then bitcoin is very worthy of being used as an investment goal because so far bitcoin has been proven to be able to have a higher value in the long term, especially when halvings occur which usually when halving can make bitcoin prices rise to the highest level As we have seen in previous years after the reduction in the supply of bitcoins, feel free to buy bitcoins with the amount of funds you have earned because now is a good time to buy some bitcoins at a discount and then hold onto them.

Alternative coins or altcoins I think what you mean.

Just incase you don't want Bitcoin, go for the next highest cryptocurrency market cap which is Ethereum.
My advice to you is also take a look on previous prices of coins you are buying, also research the fundamentals or goals or how these coins work.

Bitcoin and Ethereum for altcoins is already good for me especially if you are just starting to explore cryptocurrency.

Its your money then its your choices but if i do have that money or simply gets that pay check then
here's my breakdown;

$400 for Bitcoin
$200 for Altcoins
$200 for fiat/savings/expenses

If you do want to go all in or focus with Bitcoin then you could go all in but of course dont make yourself
to hasty on seeing profits because crypto thingy isnt some sort of magical profit making thing.
This isnt how these things works.

Judging by some things, you don't know much about cryptocurrency. Then just buy bitcoin for this amount and forget about it for a while and maybe after a year or two your investment will give you a profit. It is important to ask yourself the question for how long you plan your investments.
Yes, bitcoin is the best choice if you doesn't want to take risk with the investment. Just buy and leave it securely, you can enjoy the profit in the long term during the bullish trend. By the time if the focus is on short term investment it is good to go with altcoins.

When altcoins are chosen for investment, it is suggested to go with the low price altcoins as well as have a diversified portfolio than investing entire amount in one particular altcoin. It is always a must to analyse and invest on your own, considering the suggestions and don't go with someone's words.

Buying bitcoins is our recommended suggestion because bitcoins are more promising than altcoins. You should look for it yourself because it depends on your wants. Buying bitcoins and holding them is not easy but buying altcoins and holding them will make you worry because altcoins always follow where bitcoins move. So from here, you should be able to see what we recommend and you can start buying it from now on.

if i were you much better to rely which still reliable and surely you can get a good return afterwards than seeking for new investment especially when it comes to alts that so unpredictable even though you see it good and very promising..  I would suggest to focus on your first coin then second option is bitcoin since it still down..
