Now it is rather BTC, but ETH has very good prospects in the next half year, and possibly a year, I am sure that it will still grow well in price.

The likes of bitcoin was not as public as the Ethereum owing to the loads of projects that ruled over the crypto space as most projects built their Dapps on the ethereum smart contract. the year 2018 has kept the cryptocurrency waves echoing ethereum and ethereum it is that has been mostly used amongst all other blockchains.
There will be no changes in 2018. Bitcoin will also remain a leader as it was predicted in 2017. In 2019, Bitcoin will also continue to be a leader.
A pretty difficult choice for both, but I prefer Ethereum. There is a possibility of a large price increase because most transactions in the crypto world use ethereum. And lately ethereum became popular and much favored by the crypto community.
Both are great investments. Bitcoin started it all, but Ethereum has much better technology. In my opinion, Ethereum is a better investment. If anything is going to bring blockchain technology to the real world, it’s Smart Contracts. They are insanely useful.
I think that time will show but i don't know when exactly. As for me I would like to invest in btc more because i consider it better than ether due to its popularity. To my mind, both are good but btc has more pros

Both but I prefer bitcoin. At the beginning of 2018, btc and eth had a significant momentum and doubled their value. Btc didn't get below 5k, but eth has made a bad move with a level of $ 160
The ethereum is really giving the bitcoin a good fight, and the popularity of the ethereum is increasing each day but the bitcoin still remain the number one cryptocurrency. Both are good crypto anyways.
Of course Ethereum looks more closely to me to invest, it is possible to earn good money in contrast to bitcoin, and the risks are the same you can say

I can't say your question is irrelevant because it takes courage to ask. It's most important to reason on how much effect they have on each other. There have been years of comparison which could not meet up. BTC have been the mother of all though ETH have been good so far but I can't compare both and 2018 has been a good year of example to know they are not comparable. BTC have been the mother of all. Both is good to invest in but I would invest 70% of BTC and 30% of ETH as to compare.
This year is already drawing to a close though we still have almost sixty five days to go, I think bitcoin has been the most stable coin this year and profitable one too! The Cryptocurrency market have suffered loss but bitcoin has been stable enough!

BITCOIN HAS OBTAINABLE PROBLEMS WITH SCALABILITY. REMEMBER HOW NETWORK LAGED IN JANUARY? UNTIL THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED, BITCOIN HAS NO FUTURE. THE ETHER FOR ME NOW IS MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE. BECAUSE DEVS WORK ACTIVELY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS WITH THE SCALABILITY OF THE ETH, THE ETHER IS THE KING OF ALL ICO, AND THE PRICE IS NOW VERY GOOD.

Yes, I agree. We need them both to increase our chances to get rich when they moon (again). I think holding both coins is half the battle for success in crypto.for long term and short term investment, but if to choose only one, I would not hesitate to choose bitcoin right now.

if you look at the analysis of the price development of the two coins, the better is BTC, if you see the price of the ETH continues to decline in price and it is difficult to re-increase the price, if the current investment is better at BTC because the price is more stable
