I am getting this error when trying to log in:
"Access temporarily denied."

Not sure why, I don't think there would be any sort of problem with my account.

Either someone has been trying to log in as you and has failed a bunch, or you triggered a DDoS protection mechanism.  Both cases clear themselves out eventually, the latter much quicker than the former.

Hey burnside, I requested a pin reset 30 days and ~10-15minutes ago. On my portfolio page there is the following message: "There is a pending PIN RESET request on this account. It will be processed in approximately Expired. If you did not request this reset, your email account is compromised!" but no email or option to actually reset the pin. What should I do?
These were getting held up with a bug in the script, sorry about that.  I think I got it worked out.
Still haven't received a mail and account is still locked.

Hey burnside, I requested a pin reset 30 days and ~10-15minutes ago. On my portfolio page there is the following message: "There is a pending PIN RESET request on this account. It will be processed in approximately Expired. If you did not request this reset, your email account is compromised!" but no email or option to actually reset the pin. What should I do?

These were getting held up with a bug in the script, sorry about that.  I think I got it worked out.

We had an issue with our bitcoind not being able to reach it's trusted peer.  It should be back now.  This is the second time in the last couple of days this has happened, so I have added a couple more to the trusted peer list.

Are you releasing the funds back into our wallets or just pushing those transactions out?

They went out after I changed the config and restarted the bitcoind process.

^ Same thing with me. I withdrew a large amount of BTC that required manual processing.

I got the process complete email and the btc are gone from btct wallet, but nothing on blockchain has appeared yet. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

I'm messing around with the API and it seems that api/tradeHistory/SECURITYNAME returns the last month of trades. I know ?range=all will give me everything, but is there any way I can get e.g. the last 24h of trades? I can filter them out myself, I was just wondering if there was another way.

The https://btct.co/api/tradeHistory ticker will display all trades from last 48 hours, but it's not limited to an individual security.

I have no malicious intention, but I did some brainstorming about orderbook manipulation. Wink I noticed that larger buys/sells spread over a few orders take some time to get executed and actually it looks like as if those covered orders are filled one by one. Let's say I'd stuff the orderbook with a massive amount of smallish orders and a buyer/seller would initiate a buy/sell. Would it be possible to remove the later orders before they get filled after that order has been initiated or is the book locked in that moment? Would the first fill of the bait-orders be propagated through the API before all of them have been filled?

It sounds like that would require some really precision timing to work right, which I doubt is possible.

However, if you want to maximize your ability to buy through orderbook manipulation, then generating a large number of small orders is the way to go.  When you have insufficient balance, BTCTC will cancel your orders up to the point where you have sufficient balance to cover them on any one specific stock.  So, let's say you place an order on two stocks that have an identical price, stock A and stock B...  with stock A you have 20 bid orders of 10 stocks each, and with stock B you have 2 bid orders of 100 stocks each.   You make a trade on stock C which drops your available balance.   On stock A, the first 2 orders are cancelled, leaving you with 18 bid orders of 10 stocks each, and on stock B your first bid order of 100 is cancelled, leaving you with a single bid order of 100 stocks.   With a larger number of smaller orders, the cancellation leaves more order volume in place.
