by the way http://btcd.xpool.ca/   doesn't work for many hours.
Also a bit worried about this. It seems shares are still being submitted as normal. Safe to assume payouts will continue as normal?
We will soon start our official pool, should be in less than 24 hours, we are curentlly testing, if you like to join just PM me or join me on skype, my id is theXpooky

I thought http://btcd.xpool.ca/  was the official pool? Did something happen?
The pool we will release is different than the multipools we currently have and will run under the coin website so that makes it official
nothing happened Smiley

Cool ! Nice to have options to mine this coin while it's still nowhere near its potential price. Smiley
Exactly that's the reason we are running this pool

I am worried too. When i saw it first, I switched my BTC ASIC rigs ( bulk of my mining power) over to a different pool and I left my scrypt  ASICs and X11 algo rigs on there. But it does seem like they are submitting shares.

I have made some market rate exchanges to make sharkfund0 (asset 3006420581923704757) a one stop purchase that will benefit from Teleport

The following numbers are not 100%, I am rounding, but they are pretty close. I wont bother with <10 BTC holdings, such as FIM, NAS, NTX, etc.

sharkfund0 major holdings:

BTCD 10% ~$240K
NXT 0.4% ~$150K
InstantDEX 10% ~$100K
NXTprivacy 20% ~$70K
JLH 10% ~$70K
coinomat(1) 20% ~$50K
XCP 0.5% ~$25K
BBR 10% ~$16K

~$721K / 1415 sharkfund0 assets = ~510 USD -> 14166 NXT
I dont expect to be making many changes to the portfolio for a while and I will announce any such changes. With the above figures anybody should be able to get a pretty good NAV calculation done. I will put some assets for sale and if they sell out, I will make some more available, but maybe with the portfolio composition public info, a reasonably efficient market will form?

I will make available NAV bids for those that need some liquidity if the free market isnt being efficient enough

James

P.S. Yes, sharkfund0 has 120,000 BTCD and is most likely one of the largest BTCD hodlers. It is like an open ended mutual fund and I think it is the NXT asset with the largest trading volume and a pretty widely held asset.

I think some people are getting a bit carried away with the bidding war on this asset!
The fund raising price was around 1.3 NXT, it is now selling for 10 NXT

I advice some prudence and caution, it will be hard to make money if you pay 6 times the original price and the lowest asking price is 18, which is 14 times higher than fund raising price.

Well, it is a free market. So as fast as BTCD has risen in value, cryptocard is going up even faster. Maybe some kind people who purchased cryptocard assets would put in sells at more normal price of 5 NXT? I know, why dont I put some up for sale. Well, I am a compulsive hodler, I cant even find the sell button Smiley

James

P.S. Why didnt someone let me know BTCD was being WH sold at .003? Somehow I always miss these sales Sad

That's insane. I expected your NXTprivacy to go up faster since it houses more return than the card asset with the privatebet and all. I'll have to keep an eye out on the card asset if it keeps at it's trend.

I've just distributed the cryptocard assets to the last 2 investors, they all got their stake now.

I believe nearly all alt currencies are scam merely intended to enrich the developer and his/her pals.
It really is best to stay away from the majority of them.

Not this one though. I can tell the devs are genuine.
Im investing in this coin ( I will never pump and dump) for the long haul and I really hope others do the same.
The pump and dumpers may ruin it, but I have a very strong suspicion this coin will go go from strength to
strength as long as the devs keep up their excellent efforts.

I wish them well and my hats off to them for upholding the original principals of what a digital currency
is for.

I totally agree with you. James is the first developer I have ever seen which showed respect to the community and he is so much active.
I stayed with btcd since launch and I am happy I managed to mine some.
Also, other members of the team are active too.

+1 for you and your thoughts Smiley

If we, the community, can continue to spread the importance of hodling, there will be no coins available for the P&D crews to be successful with their nonsense.  HODLING all the way here too.  It's our job to continue reminding potential weak hands that there are folks that WILL NOT sell.  This is an investment, not a shit coin.

Also don't forget that it's not only about hodling but for spneding (!) too

do you guys think I should exchange my 45 LTC for btcd?
I bought them for 12 euros each ($16) and now they are down to 5 euros ($7)

Depends on what your goal is. If you like flushing money down the drain then you should hold LTC longterm.
