Here's the Labcoin thread in a nutshell:

First read the dog's speech on the right, then read the gnome part from right to left, then read the right dog's speech.

Hey MilkyLep, I share your perspective re:Yifu. That said, I make every effort to check my feelings at the door when it comes to business decisions. I'd only consider further business with Avalon if it made solid financial sense for bASIC-MINING and it's investors. The risk that Avalon/Yifu will fail to meet their obligations going forward is at an all time high and It'd be a mistake to ignore that if/when contemplating future purchases.

Labcoin...meh. Don't even know where to begin to describe that circus.

Cheers.

It's great Bitsyncom will remodel their pre-order/sales buisness, really it is. But from my perspective, a drastic change within the company needs to occur before I return any respect much less BTC to them.

I know bASIC has had far more positive experiences, but Yifu's updates are still just words. And you must ask yourself, is Yifu a man of his word?

Regarding the Labcoin thread, I'm still wading through posts back from the "hashing" "update." I suppose they made the deadline, dividends one week from hash startup is understandable. Even if they missed their target hashrate, without much explanation. Wouldn't it be something if they were hashing with bitfury gear or avalon chips though!  Tongue

Speaking of bitfury, one day closer to October delivery!

However I find solace in the next-gen compatibility with Klondikes, hopefully this will allow those specialists to recoup their time, money and other losses.

Hi freedomno1. I'm a bit lost, as we don't have any Avalon chips or Klondikes on order.

We have Bitfury rigs on order for October delivery.

Cheers.

No my apologies I saw avalon news and was like wait we had avalons in the Basic thread ha-ha
This one is my mistake

Cheers.

No worries, I'm just keeping abreast of changes in hardware availability. Gen2 upgrade modules for our nine Avalons would be an interesting proposition, but they'd have to be priced aggressively and available for immediate delivery in the near future to be compelling.

Doesn't this: Due to delays we are now offering full refund in bitcoin for all the Avalon Generation One orders made on any date, It is advise for people to request refunds due to the delay and raise of bitcoin difficulty. apply to our Third batch Avalon, which was pre-ordered?

Hi JimiQ84. I'd think not as we received our batch 3 pre-order on August 5, though certainly if Yifu wants to send us a refund as well to compensate for the delay then I won't complain too strenuously. I believe the newsletter was referring to bulk chip sales and trade-ins. Programs with which we, fortunately, had no part in.

Thanks!

What are these "$" thingies you've scattered throughout your post? Wink

That thread is a train wreck to be sure. Carnth had some wise advice back a few pages as I recall.

That thread is a train wreck, thanks for the Avalon update now I wonder how the Klondike project will turn out.
Regarding the return are you going to go for the refund creativex and how many BTC is it worth or wait on Gen 2.

Urg this stock game is getting to me. Thought I'd come here because the Labcoin thread is a huge mess plus creativex is a cool guy.  Grin

I'm still in high school and trying to learn all about this. I'm glad I only have 40 cents in Labcoin because right now nobody knows whats going on with it. I'm also hoping bASIC share prices go up, because right now I've invested around $25 and with dividends I've received counted in, I'm still around $10 in the hole. :/

**Not just with investments in bASIC, investments in other places as well.

Oh well, at least I'm learning. Smiley

Update from Avalon:

Avalon ASIC

Now accepting refunds from any and all order dates
Due to delays we are now offering full refund in bitcoin for all the Avalon Generation One orders made on any date, It is advise for people to request refunds due to the delay and raise of bitcoin difficulty.

The update refund form can be found on the main store site, linked here.
Due to phishing attempts and spam, any refund request not made containing the original order email and phone number will be automatically rejected by the system and marked as spam, so please bear this in mind.

Avalon Generation Two Chips 55nm
Those who have invested in time and money on Avalon Generation One based devices and clones can rejoice in the fact we had the foresight to make Avalon Generation Two chips completely backward compatible in every way with 110nm generation one chips, which can be expect to go on sale Late October 2013 for immediate shipping. Avalon will no longer participate in any kind of pre-ordering.

Developers and Hobbyists should keep an close eye on our github account as we will be releasing the 55nm chip specification and reference design soon!

So creativex you don't think Labcoin is lying to shareholders about them having equipment online now? It appears lots of people in the thread do.

Eitherway, I just bought a single share in it, so not too much lost if it doesn't pan out.

Hi guitarplinker. It's a tough call. My instincts lead me to conclude that they're telling, at least, partial truths. Had they presented the rosiest of scenarios today(ie 6Th/s online now) it'd have made me more suspicious. There's tremendous upside here, primarily because they have a chance to beat the tidal wave of hashes that are coming from new vendors. We have only 16-17BTC at risk so I believe the risk/reward profile still works.

Cheers.

Happy Birthday Creativex! I trust the mojitos finally made their due appearance, and hopefully even a steak dinner!

This most recent labcoin update is interesting, but pictures, proof, and wallets are provoking. As usual, more often than not in BTC world, this week will certainly be suspenseful.

TY! Alcohol moi? Never touch the stuff. *hiccup* We settled on homemade butter chicken and naan...awesome sauce. Wink

Yeah labcoin is tough to figure. There's a time frame associated with the pictures now(48hrs), so they'll meet it or not, but either way we'll have more information. They're keeping everybody guessing that's for certain.
