If there was an active bet, it wont have gone to 89k.....eventually you will loose, stay away from it.

The crash point is decided before any betting happens, and its hash is shown to all players.

stay away from it.

try it yourself! Goodluck!

Your advice seems contradictory. Should I stay away or try it myself?

You're merging my replies from 2 different posts. I had no intention to spread fud or talk bad about it, I just generally said that.

Whoever says they won the greed will take them back to money pot and as I said eventually you will loose, I have lost good amount of BTC, having said that I am not saying that I never won I did but played again and again and eventually lost.

Your 2 posts were both referring to moneypot as 'it', and offering contradictory advice about it.

The first post seemed to be alleging that the game cheats and only picks high crash points if nobody is playing. Maybe that's not what you were saying. If so, do you stand by your accusation? And if not, what did you mean by that?

moneypot is one of the few bitcoin games out there where the odds can actually be in your favour if you play smart. There's no guarantee that you will eventually lose.
What do you mean? As a casino game I assume it has a house edge and thus makes you lose. What do you mean you can play "smart" and never run out of funds? Makes no sense.

Nice site, but currently the last 7 games have 2 crashed at 1x. Coincidence?

Yeah, pretty much exactly that. You took 7 data points out of, at current count, 621995 data points, and drew an overarching conclusion from your ridiculously small sample size.

The source code is available on GitHub and the games are provably fair. If you don't trust him/the website, don't play. It's that easy Roll Eyes

very interesting , its awesome just doubt on fair though

Why would you doubt it's fair? The profit margins are smaller than razor thin. If he was cheating, you'd expect them to be higher.

Didn't Doog run an analysis of the site code or something to determine it was fair? I remember seeing an analysis of something that concluded that the site runs as advertised.

This is fantastic, thanks for posting. Is this a static page you published for this once, or is it something that updates in real time or occasionally?

It's a dynamically generated page, but has a 5 minute cache. If you are not logged in, however, the CDN will cache the page as well. I created an issue for it and will fix tomorrow.

The word "number" in "Players won in total: number" seems like a typo.
Indeed. Thanks. Fixed in master.

And you should include "given away as comps / promotions" too, and show the net profit after that (because I think you probably gave more than half and maybe all your profit away to people in the chat...)

Then everyone will ask for it Sad And to be fair, most of the comps were due to alleged UI bugs, which have now been fixed. I am no longer giving them out so freely. Also, if we're being pedantic 63.94%

In other words you are pretty much wrong, and that game would have gone to 89k whether or not there was an active bet (except that the house has a limit of 2 BTC per game that it pays out - if the remaining active bets every get to the point that they would cause the total house loss to reach 2 BTC, then everyone is auto-cashed-out at that point, and so the game would only have gone to 89k if the total active bet was 22 bits or less).

After the death of the great white tux, btcpizza is a true inspiration. At one point, he was down something like -5.2 BTC -- but like the soldier he is, he never gave up and kept playing until he got it over 10 BTC (of course, since then he's lost a few bitcoin, but I suspect we haven't heard the last of him just yet)
