Oooooh, I didn't even think about the biggest losers! Bonus stats!

Thanks, and keep up the good work. I'll be interested to see what you do to enhance the UI, if you end up making any changes at all.

I think it's a really unique type of game and I've noticed a lot more people playing now, so it seems to be growing in popularity. I think some more statistics would complement the site well, such as the ability to see what the bonus pot is, be able to view rankings beyond the 10 top players, and also to be able to sort users by highest net profit in addition to highest gross profit,  and all time bonus award leaders. I think the more stats you can display the better.

maybe just unlucky..

Unfortunately so. It's not quite as rare as you would imagine. The independent probability of this occurring is precisely 1% -- but as you mentioned, you did play a few games before such event happened.  In the FAQ and strategy guide, you'll find that referred to as the instant-crash. I've tried to give people some level of confidence that the game's are fair by sending the hashed outcome (and a hash of the seed used to make the output) -- which at least can demonstrate that the outcome of the game is 100% predetermined *before* anyone plays.

But I like to think, the best reason to think I'm not cheating -- is it's really not in my interest. I run this game completely transparently, using my real name (Eric Springer) and risk my reputation on it (which in turn, risks my ability to derive my livelihood living in a foreign country). And of course, if you run the maths on the house odds and statistics, I don't *need* to cheat -- the game always eventually works out in my favor. In fact, during the growth stage now -- I'd prefer to be making *nothing* to increase growth. (And in fact, feeding my profits into back into the game, via running some little promos)

Anyway, don't sweat it. The numbers and patterns can really get to your head. I had my own panic moment, when the house returns weren't matching what they should be. One of players was consistently beating the game -- the chance of them having such a return after so many games was less than 1 in a 1000. I was getting ready to halt game play while I did some thorough analysis -- but fortunately, I didn't. The guy kept playing, and sure enough the returns started trending back to the expected value.

Also, please ignore GoldGamingLTD -- he's a rather unsophisticated troll. If anyone has any legitimate concerns, please raise them!

A very interesting website and concept that could do much better if the design was more attractive.
I wonder why in each topic, there must be some trolls like GoldGamingLTD that must talk bad stuff no matter what, with no arguments, and for no reason.

I see a polluted community with a lack of education, and because of the free posting rules, anybody can talk trash and ruin somebody's reputation. Maybe admins could do something about it and ban these trolls?

Good luck with your concept. I wish people would be more supportive.

I had reread the FAQ one multiple times and it still wasn't clear. The example that dooglus gave made it a lot easier to comprehend how getting the bonus works. Thanks!

I just have a quick question regarding the bonuses. It appears to me that the bonuses are based on how much you bet and not when you cash out, as long as you're one toward the end. Is there a more clear explanation as to how the bonuses are paid? I'm a little confused.

The one in the website is pretty clear. See https://www.moneypot.com/faq#last

It's in the FAQ section accesible from the landing page.

I wrote a description of how bonuses are awarded on the previous page of this thread. It includes a worked example.

Yep, check this section in the FAQ:
https://www.moneypot.com/faq#last

The bonus is based on a multiplier so you are really only competing against people with similar bet sizes. Someone who bets 1 bit shouldn't be able to take all of another person's bonus who bet 100,000 bits as that wouldn't be fair. So it creates a multiplier to determine how much each person should get based on their bet size.

Interesting stats ! How could I acces to theses stats, cause in my public profile I have "grosss profits" and "net profits" but I don't have the amount wagered neither the total bonus won.

Those are not visible on the site at the moment. Perhaps in future versions, we will be able to see detailed stats such as these though.

Actually there is one issue and a big one.

I have played with pretty good EV+ as other gamblers cashed out quicly, but my ROI was still very negative, I thought it was just bad luck but I did hundreds and hundreds bets, and still negative ROI.

So I checked and I found out that my bonus had never been paid.

Maybe I am wrong and I don't understand how it's working but my win should be odd*bet + bonus  right?

Bonus is always missing....

My account is marechou, you can check, maybe this bug is only for me....

I don't blame you, the site is pretty new it possible there is some bug, but in this case I would like you cumulate all my bonuses and reimburse me.

Thank you, and good luck with your betting game Wink

Hi Marechoux,

As you realized, the bonuses don't get added to the display unless you refresh the page. It's become some what of a bug-turned feature.

I'm always interested in players who go for the bonus, so let's have a look at your account:

You wagered a total of 1,824,045 bits over 1342 games. Over these games you collected: 26,868 bits in bonus! Which works out to about 1.473% of your wagered amount, you got a bonus. Nice work! However, 1% of that is what you are paying to the pool. So over your entire games you could say you're making about 0.473% more from the bonus pool than you're putting in.

HOWEVER, you also need to take into consideration the house odds. They are scaling between 0 and 1%, where at 2x multiplier the house odds are around 0.5%.

In a lot of games like:

https://www.moneypot.com/game/593806

you really got roped into staying in for far too long, where chance of getting the bonus is much, much lower and the house edge is getting much higher. I'm not entirely sure you were actually playing with +EV. You likely would fair a bit better if you don't worry about being the *last* person to cash out, but just be after most of the big players are out.

Anyway, really great stuff -- I love seeing people doing the PvP side of things and taking each others bonuses!

Ok this is it !I did not refresh for hours that is why... My ROI is still negative, but less, but now I can say it's only bad luck.

Thanks
