Clueless!
December 01, 2015, 04:04:42 AM
Am surprised their still allowed to conduct business even after their law suite that closes them down and then gets re opened BFL must paid the high courts off to get that approved. How on earth can get away with orders never deliver on time and sill produce more mining equipment to sell in pre order but now in stock and well out dated on price and speed.

The protection of the BFL Corporation itself.......they go bankrupt the $$$ lost goes away because of that ....and 'viola' the BFL execs and those involved 'walk' or at least that is what the BFL side is shooting for in court imho

The above is more 'dire' imho in the weakness of consumer protection in this country..many folk around the world were directed to the district attorney of the county BFL was in on non delivery and 'fraud' nothing was done..(they are gonna go and shut down the prime $$$ maker in that county or one of them) went no place

that it took the FTC so long even to act and longer probably to reach any settlement...and likely (imho hope I'm wrong) to let the persons all go and bfl corp take the fall
in bankruptcy

well that and GM hiding and ignition switch problem the lawyers proved against GM of 146 folk I think it was and hid it for 10 years and NO ONE IS GOING TO JAIL ..just a large
fine the Gov't gets of 900 million bucks or some such

the track record of GM and other stuff has not made me very optimistic anyone but the bfl corp will suffer anything

remember the 2007 finacial crisis ..same deal....not one of 15,000 or so Bankers nor associates went to jail (well 1 guy but he felt guilty as hell and volunteered)
again such actions were all under the 'choice' of district attorneys etc in those states and counties and not ONE thought it 'prudent' to do this against the 'moinied bankers'

yeah ..I managed thru dumb luck to get my $$$ back from BFL ..so that is not what keeps me on this forum ..it is to see what happens with FTC suit

.the other eye opener for me was just how 'weak' consumer protection under FTC etc is now....quite frankly was
shocked and still am (color me naive)

anyway at least the site of the 'crime' the BLF mnfg place is 'kaput' (from prev posts pics) hey its something

The duo lifted 900 SSN, in essence conducted no less 1,000 transactions before they were caught. Something doesn't sound right. After the first fraud was committed, Walmart could've easily rewound the tapes and knew who the bad guys were, up to and including the getaway car's tag number. If not on the first attempt, surely by the tenth, but no fuckin' way letting 1,000+ acts of fraud slip by before they were able to catch the team.

Goodbye, BFL.  Cry Cry Cry No more mention on the premise's signage.  Cry Cry Cry No more bitcoin mining burn-in trailer where Bruce Peterson used to steal bitcoins.  Cry Cry Cry Sonny Vleisides best be able to show gainful employment to his probation officer, Courtney, otherwise he'll be back in the slammer quicker than when eventually found guilty of thief to the tune of millions of dollars via the now defunct Butterfly Labs, among other charges. HAHAHA

What a sad tale. Predictably, Josh and his alts post shit about this forum and anything touched by theymos. One story of a miserable shitbag who doesn't deserve a fortune.

I hope bcp19 is taking an interminable hiatus from his beloved bfl kool-aid.

Bruce Peterson is gaming in his mother's basement in Nevada, Iowa, and back to milking satoshis off faucets to parlay them on Cryptsy. HAHAHA

"The TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance® (ECA®) service converts a paper check into an electronic item at the point of sale. The ECA service allows retailers to accept checks as quickly, safely and easily as they accept credit cards.

Clueless!

how many years will BFL executives spend in prison? Zero

If Sonny, at least, doesn't go back in the slammer for his shenanigans while at Butterfly Labs, then the entire legal system will have failed us IMO. (get ready to be disappointed)

A lot more of the BFL staff deserve prison time, but my gut is telling me this settlement is going to be totally softball with the Butterfly Labs management getting away without penalties. (our guts are in agreement)

I would love to be wrong and have the opportunity to send some post-cards to Josh Zerlan in jail. (more likely he'll be sending us postcards from Aruba I'm afraid :/)
I keep all my useless BFL hardware in plain site as a constant reminder to never spend BTC on asic pre-orders.

The industry will never support preorders again, I hope my work over the last 2 years has contributed to that.

All evidence to the contrary or am I misinformed? I'm thinking Spondoolies Data Halls and such stuff ..still a pre-order racket imho...they are just now getting 'pre-order' newbie IPO money to build data halls first...same shtick imho Smiley

As to any home miners ..they will be like the SFARDS stuff too high priced lots of 100 just to wave the flag on their product so yeah you at least will see the 'prototype working' maybe so not a pre-order but getting one and roi'ing on such as a home miner will be about as likely as finding a unicorn and learning to ride it...possible I suppose but unlikely as a home miner

my 2 satoshi's worth (not that i know zip at one time i was a BFL kool aid drinker Smiley

Dude, you must be a dinosaur. First, travelers checks and cashiers checks are just other forms of cash. Business checks and personal checks are verified with banking register systems that make them no different than debit cards today. The old days way back when is over. They're not taking checks like you imagine from your youth where, as you put it, "checks can be forged, stolen and washed". That's almost impossible today with electronic verification. Almost no one except the smallest businesses take checks without verification. See Bruno's example above. What do you suppose that thingy is doing with the paper you hand them. lol
