Both are risky. ICO is more then risky from trading. Currently many ICO has been scamed. Even higher profit on ICO but it's too risky. No one can say that ICO will listed on exchange. But those are already listed you can trade and get profit if you have good knowledge about that.
It depends on the ico if the ico is a top ico i guess you buy from ico. But if you not so sure of the team behind the ico is best you wait and buy from exchange
This is very long and hard process, you need to have a tonn of experience and knowledge! My mate told me that it is 2-3 years needed.
trading is always the best way to earn money quickly, but it is hard to succeed because you have to been good at trading and technical skills. Besides, you also spend much time to follow the news in the market to give the decisions immediately. So, I think we should invest in ICOs to earn money
if I myself better buy coins in altcoin because it is safer and very profitable also for me. but if you buy coins in ICO it has a big enough risk because some of the ICO would have a scam later
Why would you invest in such kind of scam ico, before investing you know and calculated the risk that you are going to invest. It is safe especially if you can buy at lowest price below ico while in some big ico you can buy at much higher rate x3 or more multiplier after it was putted in exchange. There is a higher level of risk in investing into it but the reward is more bigger if its a very high demand of Tokens or coin.

buying from ICO is more risky as it can have more chances to go wrong for example it can`t reach the soft cap and project may be canceled by making people lost their money.
In my opinion, altcoin trading is less risky than investing in ICOs. Now ICO is a lucrative market but not all ICOs can make a profit for you. The fraudulent ICO sprouting all over the market, if we are not careful perhaps will be a trap that makes us lose money.
Yes. I agree with your personal opinion, ICO is now scam a lot. We are prone to being fooled into investing in capital. But the safest thing is to invest in Altcoin.
Buying icos and trading is for me somehow the same because after you buy tokens from icos i am sure that you will just sell it again if the price goes up and will result as a buy and sell process. And trading is also biying some coins in a lower price and after that you will sell it in a higher price when it pumps.
I think ICO is risky than trading because many new ICO they don't come in exchange so ICO buy very risky
I can find good ICO project, when analyze team, idea, benefits of project and country where company registered. I often buy tokens on exchanges than ICO.
For me buying in trading are safe than ico's.why it's because had more ico's not success,but I suggest if you buy in eco you will help to promote your tokens because cryptocurrency are live base on community:) that's it.

I think both buying tokens from ICO and doing trading are risky. There are ICO projects that didn't success and if you have no enough knowledge about trading you will loss your investment too. Both this two,you need to have knowledge. If you want to buy coins or tokens from ICO's you need to learn their project very well. You should know if the project will become successful someday. In doing trading you should know the techniques and rules to become a successful trader.
when i bought some altcoins or tokens from ICO, i just see, that all of it ( in 99%) going down after 
For me the more risk is to buy token in the ico because you don't know if the project will be successful when ico end and you didn't sure if the price they said is true. unlike trading they have a price of every coins.
my reason is not buying from ICO is I don't know the history from each token because they are starting to launch their tokens in the market so it will need time to get proof from the ICO. I'd rather buy altcoin which has the history than to buy ICO which I don't have any info about them and I think it's easier to analyze the altcoin than the ICO. but maybe if I am sure that there is an ICO that really good enough to give me a good project, maybe I will buy ICO but only after I read their whitepaper and know their details.
Buying from ICOs is good thing to do because there are good ICOs are in the market which having the great possibilities to earn more money and buying good Tokens,

You need to understand the value of the coin and purchase it in the ICO at a lower price and at a higher Bonus. If you miss to get the higher bonuses, wait for the day of listing if you like the project and Purchase when the dumpers dump their coins at a lower price.

Any sort of investment you have to face the risk, so before investing we have to do our own research otherwise, we will face a lot of problems. So both the ICO, trading altcoin is always risky, it is good to research about the ICO because you will get a higher bonus and less risk.

well I think both have their own risks. Buying a tokens in ICO is a huge risk, well if it turns out it is a scam you will loss all of your investment on it, also if the ICO wont prosper still your investmen is a waste but if youre lucky and did invest on a successfull ICO then expect you will get a huge profit on it!
but on trading, buying coins/tokens is a risky thing, you dont even know if your tokens are going to grow, but still it minimize youre loss than investing bad ICO.
