yes to generate pos you need to be up and running. But coin age is not affected if your wallet is closed and reopened hours later, your coins will mature. However during PoS and staking it has to be open.

In which way was this POS coin distributed?
coins that was mined from CAI got converted to CAIX.. if thats what you asking.If you asking how can you trade your CAI into CAIX then you need to go to the coinswap place detailed info on page 80 or 79 of post

we stopped chain for a bit to check and make sure transaction went ok on Coinswap on the first batch., now it's back but moving slowly, it will start to move faster as more coins start to do PoS.
A little delay. When other dev wallet starts doing PoS we will start more distribution on Coinswap.

i as well am having problems with my wallet for windows 7 X64 . It already downloaded all the blocks but now the little thing on bottom right hand is going in circles saying " out of sync " with 29 active connections

used the source to compile on my ubuntu. works perfect !
