I don't think so that it will use in outer space. No foods, no shelter, no air and everything will become useless when we come out in this world. We couldn't control our moves because it has no gravity or not the same gravity unlike in our world. It is also very cold in space. Then you are asking about bitcoin can be used in space? Come on! Of course not. How it can be used? How it can be? Living really matters. Why do you need bitcoin/s in space? Producing more bitcoins using satellites can be possible.
yes i agree, i think there was no internet connection on outer space because the towers are here in earth, and it is not accessible for them, but if its not prohibited , there are few sites will only accessible and other sites will be banned. they come to the outer space to make some researches and to find more about universe, i dont think they will use bitcoin in space.

Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?

Yes bitcoin can be used in space and also it is practical because it is very easy to use and just need to do transactions via internet and then you can receive or send money to anyone you like without having any problem.

as long as there is internet is should be possible
I agree with your opinion. But, although it can be used, I guess, they will not use it, because maybe their salary is more than what they can get from bitcoin. Besides, they do not need it there.

As long as there access in internet it will surely work even theres no use to used bitcoin in space .Thers no way btc can be used since we cant find anything that bitcoin can buy in space.

Quite a strange question, because why should cosmonauts transfer money into space and why is it all?
I think for the exploration of space we need strength, people, energy, mind, but not money Smiley

I think we are truly getting onto something here. Perhaps money is just a creation brought here from something non-human. Maybe the ultimate goal is to really explore space, universe and ourselves.  Smiley

Well, there is the new "Li-Fi" internet, that is based on light. It's much faster than Wi-Fi, but requires a direct line of sight. So if you could build a system of mirrors in space that can deflect that light from one planet to another, then you would have internet that can travel long distances at the speed of light. Then you can use bitcoin from anywhere.

What if Satoshi Nakamoto is an alien and brought us Bitcoin & blockchain technology from the future?  Shocked

There is no such thing as alien and the technology of bitcoin was complicated because of the algorithm and the system of it was a secret, even the person that made it is almost non existence, satoshi is well known but his whereabouts are unknown right now, and I think the technology of bitcoin is timely and not a futuristic thing, there are some awesome things right now like the smartphone that we have right now.

I am also just wandering will astronauts need bitcoin or other money in their travelling through the Universe?

Yeah, astronauts don't need bitcoin, because the money that their families going to need is going to be provided by their government, if I'm not wrong. And there is no need for them to use bitcoin because there is fiat, and that is the currency where they have been used to, and using bitcoin is another story that they need to read for them to understand it.

I think OP is talking about the far far future when many people will be travelling through the Universe on a regular basis. IMO Bitcoin will replace all the money by that time and of course it will be used in space.
There's no guarantee, in the "far far future" you're talking about, every country might have already owned some kind of digital cash and of course it's controllable for them. Honestly, I even think that bitcoin might not have existed in the "far far future" its technology will probably become obsolete and the newest technology just born.
Fiat is indeed will be inexistent because it's taking too many natural resources and also add up the logging. It's better to get rid of it since many years ago when the internet was invented.

Of course there's no guarantee because no one knows for sure what will happen in the far far future, but analyzing the facts we can guess which outcome is more probable. And the facts are telling us that Bitcoin, even with the difficulties it experiences in these latter days, is still supported by the vast majority of educated people in the world. And I'm not that smart to make my own analysis, I just trust those people.

I think you can not, there is currently no life in space so that there is no use bitcoin on there, and we should know that currently the bitcoin is still not known to many countries.

Bitcoin in space would make it possible for the astronauts to go to web cam girl sites and sell things on the dark web. So we know at least there is a demand for it  Grin

I think about this from time to time, in fact no too long ago I visioned bitcoin as being a currency that allowed for intergalactic payments... I mean theoretically it could with the contingency that our technology advances significantly.
That is the growth of Bitcoin and its universal application. I think that every Bitcoin user is just that and I hope in the future from his crypto currency.
