Bitcoin and ethereum are two different creations. They do not focus on the same market applications. But, there's a chance that ethereum will reach or surpass bitcoin's value. Because the value of cryptocurrency is not bound to any external economical tool. eTH offers more than a decentralized trust-less currency providing additional value for smart contracts. Understanding its potential will make eTH higher than BTC.

There are no telling if Etherium can reach what bitcoin has already achieved but, it has a possibility. Lets just let the time tell. For now what we can just do is predict and hope for the best and pray when we are investing. But it is reaches what bitcoin achieved and you invest now. Then congratulations. You are already a millionaire.
Not impossible. Especially now that the value of bitcoin is decreasing but then the ethereum remains the same, we wouldn't know. in no time it might reach the value of bitcoin

Now thats valid this year. Just look at the hype around us and what community has to say, ETH could just reach the prices of 10K in no time this year end. If everyone starts thinking in that way then everyone will switch to ETH from BTC and can get the job done. Besides that due to technical issues that bitcoin is facing today we have got higher chances of the ETH taking the control of crypto currency and make the pathway through it.
It is going to be overwhelming response as we will proceed further because we might just see that BTC market is dropping and ETH one is pumping naturally. This will occur in the middle of year and then afterwards big investors will play the game of pumping. So yes it is possible to overrun the BTC in first place. :-)
I think that if bitcoin does not solve the scalability problem, then in the next 1-2 years it can go to the background. Altcoins are very advanced (technologically) every day, so bitcoin has a great chance of losing in this fight
actually we are hard to predict the rise in eth price that will accompany the price of bitcoin, we'll see later in january about the increase of eth price.
Yes ETH can reach BTC's value but not in the near future,ethereum and btc shares problems like poor transaction confirmation speed,congested network and small blocksize.
I think in the long run yes, it can come close to it. But i do not think it will be any time soon. Still old ETH is a good thing in my opinion.
I think eth can reach btc value but it can take a long time. Because to reach btc value is not easy. Eth must have a good system, good teamwork and must have many supporters.

I don't think it can because it is not a simple thing for eitherium because it take long time to make market like bitcoin .Here bitcoin is that coin which is king and is available in the online world from very starting , And also we can see that if the market of etherium increase then not the market of bitcoin become stop also it will increase and gain market , so here a very rare chance that etherium can touch the bitcoin much .
But also here we can't say definitely that it can't achieve market like bitcoin have , but still here etherium have big market after bitcoin that is not a simple thing for any coin , after bitcoin , etherium is main coin that is using by the users and exchange mostly for trading .
