No because of its supply bitcoin is having limited 21 million coins and ethereum having huge supply thats the reason ethereum having less chance . Otherwise ethereum having more possibility compare to bitcoin.
Yes it is possible. The ethereal development is very much today. But it can take up to 5 to 10 years from now. So, while the price of ethereum is cheap then we buy because the day will come as the ethereum will be the same as the price of bitcoins.
For now it cannot reach the bitcoin's value but i think in the future or long term investments , ethereum can reach the price bitcoin value.
sure why not? Ethereum can reach the value of the Bitcoin or BTC but it takes time and I think Ethereum can't surpass the value of Bitcoin because if the price of Ethereum is going up so the price of Bitcoin also.

For me no one can ever defeated bitcoin,for its value that no coins can reach it has a value for stability and higher than any other.Bitcoin will be always more valuable and ethereum will next to bitcoin,and also its popularity to become the mother coin of cryptocurrency.

I think, the price of ethereum may reach bitcoin price in a long term. Because in my sight ethereum chart is stable and have a chance to get higher. Ethereum fans are quiet a lot.
I don't think ETH can equal BTC because the value of BTC too will keep rising just as ETH is also rising, although the current value of BTC is around $12k and I see ETH reaching and surpassing this mark in the near future.

I think it will be very difficult in the near future, but in a few years then maybe it just happened.

I think Ether has more potential than BTC, but it will take years I guess (although with crypto coins you never know). of course the ligning Network might give BTC a boost when it will be released. 
i think, Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different creations. They do not focus on the same market applications or services. Both are way apart in terms of the purpose they were created for. Bitcoin primary goal is to serve as a decentralized currency while Ethereum is meant to provide a platform for dapps and smart contracts.
Ethereum price will always be somehow affected by those ICOs and their performance. In contrast, Bitcoin price is only affected by Bitcoin itself (excluding external factors such as bans, regulations etc). As per my understanding of the market, both have their place in the cryptocurrency world and are in no way in competition with each other.

The possibility for Ethereum to reach Bitcoin will surely happen sooner or later. Bitcoin has been on the market for almost ten years and it's value increased so high yet now going back to it's lower range. But for Ethereum, the thinking of it to go even higher and exceeding what bitcoin can is possible. Nowadays, it is being widely used to fund new ventures as it creates tokens. The fast and cheaper transactions are really a huge plus on it that's why people are adapting ETH in their life.

Capitalization of ethereum is only 2 times less than that of bitcoin, this is already a very good indicator. At a price for a coin, bitcoin is 10 times more than ethereum, but in my opinion this gap will rapidly decline in the near future. Ethereum should grow in price faster than bitcoin.
If the market crashes and btc didnt recover fast,eth can replace BTC if the investors will switch ETH,its a decent and solid platform in crypto why not?
there is an opinion that the etherium will outstrip the capitalization of bitcoin in 2018 and will come out on top. Quite possible. A huge number of ICOs are conducted on the basis of the etherium. It is better scaled, and Vitalik Buterin with the team is working on a global update
I think its hard for ETH to reach BTC value, because now the price differences between ETH and BTC are more than 10 times. But maybe in the future ETH can reach BTC. For me, holding ETH is a good investment because the price keep rising. I just hoping that ETH can reach BTC in the future.
It's hard but possible. If we remember the recent past, that we see bitcoin rate grew up from ≈ 2K bucks in the summer to almost 20K at the end of last year. Crypto coins can show such growth in a relatively short period. So this is a very realistic scenario
My opinion is that this will not happen especially in the near future. I think BTC will be the main one for seniority and price for a long time. I'm sure that the ETH will catch up with the most popular fork BTC –bitcoin cash, but if the time comes thatETH will catch up with the original bitcoin, then probably there will be new generation crypts and current leaders will give up positions.
