Ethereum will not get Bitkoin, although it would be nice. Bitcoin is very popular and the leader among the crypto currency (the equivalent of gold) and has a limited number.
Its highly impossible because bitcoin is a limited amount but ethereum is unlimited so there is less chance for ETH the overtake the bitcoin.But ethereum price will increasing in the upcomig years but not enough to beat the king of crypto.Suppose if does then that will be the end of crypto currencies.
Ethereum is NOT unlimited. It will never go beyond 100 million because of the mining ICE AGE. I'll let you research more about that yourself.
Ethereum is trying to be a platform for decentralized services while Bitcoin is simply trying to be a currency and store of value. It's hard to speculate when, but with Ethereum's technology, it can definitely surpass Bitcoin's value.
This issue has been raised many times. In other matters, one can understand those who are interested in this issue 
I think that ETH is rather young cryptocurrency but with great potential. In long term perspective it is very likely that ETH will catch up with BTC but not in 2018.

I think it can happen, because nothing is impossible inside the crypto, just as ETH costs just $ 400 in a few days to increase to $ 600 and now it's $ 700.
Ethereum has many rivals like LiteCoin, Waves, Monero and other top blockchain coins so Ethereum although has the highest market capital in the group of Altcoins but I really don't think it can surpass the value of Bitcoin. And I think Bitcoin Cash or Segwit2x will do.
You're right, Ethereum has many rivals but Ethereum continues to rise and although unlike Bitcoin's price that surges almost $1,000 a day or two but Ethereum holds the most valuable and highest market capital compared to Bitcoin Cash and other coins.
Maybe Ethereum will par Bitcoin's price someday.

I think Ethereum can surpass Bitcoin's price if people realize the scalability and advantages because for me Ethereum is more faster than Bitcoin's but in terms of price Ethereum has a lot to prove. Maybe 2018 is the rise of Ethereum.
That depends on many factors, and most important of them is development strategy. Ethereum team now seems to be more flexible and ready to implement new features. Imagine that tomorrow Ethereum foundation announce switch to Bitcoin emission model with only few million ETH remaining to mine, the rate will skyrocket to the moon in the same day.
it will not reach btc value but i can assure the price of ethereum will keep rises as the grow potentials of lots of new ICOs are depending at ethereum smart contract. that why i can say the price for ethereum will rises much more then now. atleast i will be hit 1k$ in the next year.. that my prediction.

Yes, ETH can.This will depend on the size of ecosystem that will be able to consolidate ETH or BTC.
Maybe Ethereum can but not in 2018 and 2019, maybe somewhere early 2020 but this time it's hard to conclude that Ethereum is capable of beating Bitcoin's price value. There are a lot of Altcoins can like Bitcoin Cash, Segwit2x, Dash, Monero, BitConnect etc.

Ethereum has a lot of rivals and people today are using Ethereum not for holding but for converting coins into Bitcoin or the opposite way.

It will. We just have to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. The time will definitely come when the price of Ethereum will reach the level of Bitcoin's. It might not happen in the year 2018 but I am more than willing to wait. Being patient will really pay off here in crypto. Remember that all coins here started off small. Hell, even Bitcoin started off with its value only in cents. But I guess when Ethereum is reaching the level of Bitcoin's value, Bitcoin is already very expensive.

It can, but the marketcap of all the coins need to be aproximately twenty times more higher than what it is right now.
And just remember that ethereum has x5 of the total supply that bitcoin has, and they can create as many eths as they want to.

Its is possible that ETH can reach the value of BTC not now maybe years past it takes to reach it. Today Ethereum is become popular to the investor thats they invest more cause they know that eth has a potential to give a profitable income. Stay tuned goodluck

Ethereum is becoming more popular as bitcoin and a lot of investors are putting so more interest in it.Bitcoin started same as Ethereum but today it has hit the sky,and ethereum also have this potentials of reach the limit of Bitcoin.
If the high transaction fees and slow transaction continues, ethereum may overpass botcoin's price.
As of now comparing the value of eth to bitcoin? I dont think that eth can reach the value of bitcoin because more investors invest bitcoin than eth and the popularity that bitcoin have compare to eth. But eth ofcourse the value is increasing.
Most likely in 1-2 years ETH even overtake BTC.
