You're right there, there are women who don't want their husbands to gamble and of course there are also women who allow their husbands but I think there's only a limit but that's okay because we know that when we gamble there must be a budget or a limit so you can still control yourself.
So you should really think carefully about the actions you will take.

For me, regardless of gender, one must know the limitations in order to avoid conflict especially the conflict among your partners in life. There's a reason why the other half was called "partner" in relationship and it's because you are teammates, hence you should work together and help each other out to bring out the best versions of yourselves. And when there's something bad your partner pinpoints, it's best to tackle the issue immediately so it won't escalate into something worse.

For instance, your wife or husband don't want you to engage in gambling or at least they want you to lessen your gambling time and expenditures. You can resolve this by communicating well and by laying all your concerns onto the table allowing to discuss both sides. This way, you can arrive and meet halfway without having to resort to secrecy and other sort of things that could hurt your spouse. Respect is one of the key factors so is open communication.

I am a married man, and like you said, my wife hates anything gambling, in fact, she wouldn't even want to hear anybody mention gambling around her, i knew she doesn't like people who gamble right from when we were dating, but i have always been gambling secretly.
We have been married for over 7 years now, i am still gambling, but i do it secretly without her knowledge, and thank God for online gambling, which have made it possible to gamble without having to go to a physical casino.

Let me just say that, for me though, even if my wife catches me gambling which  i believe she never will, she can never leave me or end our marriage because of that, it is plainly stupid for a woman to walk out of marriage simply because she caught her husband gambling, such an excuse is too flimsy is you ask me.

Personal relationship like marriage isn't something that should be joked with or probably risked because of gambling. There are a lot of women who doesn't like gambling and forbids anyone around them to engage in gambling so if you happen to marry such women, it's absolutely unwise to continue gambling openly or secretly.
When you have a wife who forbids gambling and decides to gamble secretly, there's definitely gonna be a time she would find out and that might make her to seperate from you. When seperation happens, you've allowed gambling to affect your relationship with your wife.

Yes, as much as possible, take care of and respect your wife, if she doesn't support gambling activities, then just stop rather than losing her. Luckily for me, my wife allows me to gamble within a certain budget and on weekends, so I trust her to manage my finances for gambling. so that there is no longer anything to hide, usually a wife will be angry and disappointed if you try to hide your gambling activities.

For example, my wife knows that I gamble just for entertainment and have fun on my cellphone every weekend because she thinks that instead of me going out of the house and having an affair with another woman, let alone gambling in an offline casino where there are probably lots of beautiful women there, I think My wife doesn't forbid it as long as it's within reasonable limits and thankfully I always limit my gambling both in time and budget so it doesn't become an addiction. The point is to learn to be open and tell your wife what it is because when you are honest your wife will definitely understand

In gambling, one should only bet 5% to 10% of their monthly income, if it goes above that limit, know that you are not making a wise decision. Although it’s hard for most of the gamblers to stick with their betting limit, but for you to play safe with gambling and to limit your losses as well, then gambling at a very small amount is always advisable. However, you can adjust your betting limit if you are winning big consistently. But always bet on the amount that you can always afford to lose.

Many have fallen into this concept of gambling. The casino itself doesn't do anything wrong that gives gamblers choices to play gambling, but they still become tools to develop an addiction to gambling.

That's one of the reason why we shouldn't be secretive on our participation on gambling and make our love ones understand that we are just having fun here since if we lie to them about our gambling activity for sure that they get angry to us especially that they will found out for theirselves that we are betting and she don't like that activity. Proper explaining and showing proving that you are financially fine even if you gamble can settle all well and for sure there's no broken relationship will happen to that especially if your wife see that you are doing good and been relax for what activities you are doing. But we also make sure that we are not spending to much on gambling and lose everything we have since this is another ground that possibly they might angry and tell us to quit to gamble.


But if everything doesn't goes well and your wife is not supportive towards your gambling activity then its really better to quit that activities so that we can save up our relationship and no hard feelings or quarrel that possibly could happen.

That's why addiction has become something that must be avoided. As long as we can still use our brain perfectly and we do know how to prevent being addicted with gambling. The addiction was the key factor in making human to lose its self control.
The willingness to play the game non stop is also making people addicted. No doubt if in the most of cases addiction has become the main problem. It's so hard to leave from there.

Many threads have been also discussing regarding how bad the addiction would be affecting our lives. It's not all of people can't control their finances after they become so addicted to the gambling.

The addiction can some time makes could to be divorced.

Would really be that mind boggling on how someone would really be just simply ignore with those risks if ever they would really be making out such action. It would really be that impossible that you wont really be able to notice up such possibilities that could happen ahead. Self will is there and we do know on whats wrong and whats right but it cant be avoided that you do tolerate out such behavior even if you do know on what are those possible consequences but still you do decide to go further and do really continue on what you do have in mind. I would say that its never been worth on destroying your families relation specially into your wife and into your kids just because of gambling. Mistakes could happen but as much as possible then you better avoid that because gambling is really just for entertainment and its not something that would really be worth for you to be able to in exchange with your family situation and condition specially on finances or money.

Dont make yourself that ending up on banging your head into the wall just because you have lost your family or loved ones because of the action that you had made.
Regret do always come at the end and if you arent really that careful nor mindful about your actions then most likely you would be experiencing such devastated situation on your entire life
on which it could bring out that entire life regret and telling that you shouldnt have done that.

If you dont like for that relationship to be messed up then its better that you should not really be that trying to tolerate or would be continuing on something that you wont really be that to be good for long term effect.
Gambling could really mess up your life if you dont know on how to control your spending on which it would really be just that the main issue when it comes to gambling. If you are really that responsible and just playing for fun but doesnt compromise your finances then it should really be just fine but we know that the longer you would really be making yourself that getting involved with gambling then the more chances that you would really be getting addicted or really got that having that kind of action.

If you do find yourself that you would really be that impulsive towards your gambling activity then it would really be just that right that you should stop or having that kind of control
towards it because sooner or later it would really be making a huge effect towards your life but we know that it is really just that for fun but there are really people
who do really make themselves that too optimistic on which it comes to a point that it isnt really that possible or realistic at all and this what makes them
desperate and this is something that must avoid.

Most of those people who got attached to this activity either experienced a good win or some losing streak, which they really wanted to
recover back.

Like what you said, it's possible that they will going to isolate themselves doing other things aside from gambling. It will ruin their relationship and
will bring deeper problem in the long-run.

Well I also don't understand whether they really don't realize that the mindset and assumptions they bring are beyond common sense, as you said the mistake of putting assumptions will end up with something they don't want at all. So we have to really be wiser in seeing things, especially in this gambling, I understand there are opportunities but I say the chances are very small and the fact is that you are always difficult to get a win there, so with that alone it has been proven that the mindset you bring cannot prove anything including your own expectations, and even if it is proven but maybe only occasionally from the dozens of trials you have done. In the event that you've got a lot of time on your hands, you're going to want to make sure that you've got a good idea of what you're going to do.

In terms of family relationships, I think this is quite easy to guess, as we know when someone is married, there will be basic needs that must always be met, such as feeding his wife and children is mandatory, while gambling greatly affects a person's finances, meaning that it is clear that the family economy will be disrupted or decreased due to one of them gambling. In fact, as you said friend, it is not uncommon for many to end up divorced because they cannot afford all the financial conditions that are getting worse. So the point is that gambling has a very negative impact on everything around you, so there is no other way to avoid it unless you stop.

When a gambler gets a few wins from gambling he doesn't want to listen to anyone's advice until he loses. He is so confident of winning that he considers gambling as an alternative source of income. Gradually his interest in gambling increased. He gradually became isolated from his family or other circle of friends. On the one hand his  expense increases and on the other hand he gets separated from all kinds of relations. When a person spends a large portion of his income on gambling, his normal life will be disrupted. We always try to keep addiction away from gambling but many are failed.

I feel like it could be something psychologically wrong with them that needs to be fixed. There is no shame in the mental game, you do not have to be 100% healthy mentally, not anymore at least. Back in the day going to a psychologist had a stigma around it and you have to be crazy to do that, nowadays we literally go do it if we can afford it of course just to feel better.

I can't afford it unfortunately these days, it costs way too much, but I put my last cent to make sure that my wife goes, and she feels a lot better, she is going to have a surgery next week I think, it was postponed one month and we waited a whole month for it to happen, and during that time I spent every ounce of dollar I had to send her to a psychologist, so that she would not be worried about the upcoming surgery. Same goes for gamblers who lose control, you do not have to be feeling shame for going to a psychologist, you should see one, it will definitely make you feel a lot better.

We all know that gambling is a major criminal act in the eyes of society. Moreover, we also know that gambling is not a good sign for a person, but if he gambles, he harms himself and his family. I think if a family has a gambler that is enough to destroy that family. It will disrupt the gambler's relationship with his partner because he cannot communicate well with his partner.
