Hard to negotiate with a woman who demands full attention while they don't also provide full attention to you. It's always a mutual relationship, it's not just that woman receives the money all the time with them doing something in return.

It's true that gambling can affect relationships whether their partner notices you don't give your attention to her anymore or not. The kids of the couples that they have to look after are just more important than freedom from doing things they like.

I think that you should not hide your passion for gambling from your partner. There's nothing wrong with it if you sit down and talk about it. If your wife or girlfriend loves you enough and is ready for a constructive dialogue, then everything will be fine. I understand that most people, when they hear the word Gambler, immediately imagine that this person is addicted, but in fact, according to statistics, there are not so many addicts among gamblers. Therefore, if you explain everything perfectly to your beloved, then they will embrace you and support you, monitoring your psychological state.

That's the best thing to do as a gambler so since is obvious that most persons doesn't like gambling the best way is to gamble and keep everything secret from them, especially if it has to do with family, most parents doesn't allow there children to gamble because of the fear of addiction which we no that addiction is something nobody should subject themselves to because it doesn't end well with gambling addiction.

Perhaps keeping secret about our gambling activities especially our winings from friends is also good for security reasons because so many people has ran into trouble because of always sharing wining secrets to friends.

Being addicted is indeed not good, but becoming a pathological liar in order to further perpetuate one's addiction only can make things worse in the  long term.
To me and perhaps to others, when comes to personal problems and struggles, it can be more harmful for a couple the fact there was continuous lies being said than the addiction itself.
There is a good chance of the couple staying together and supporting each other if the person suffering the problem is honest from the beginning and admits it, instead of sacrificing the trust the have for each other.

Would anyone of us feel comfortable spending years with someone who could lie to us at anytime? I am not sure I would.

For me there are many outcomes when you involve in gambling even though you have already built your your family. Unless you didn't lie your family cause once you are laying your family and you've got caughted the one thing for sure the trust they gave your will destroy in short it will affect a lot in to relationship and that's the reason why other people got separated to thier love ones. Because being addicted is not good.

This may be right to some extent.  While a successful gambler may enjoy some kind of peaceful relationship,  the peace is a short term one. At some point,  your partner will not only be Interested in the goodies that comes from gambling,  they will demand for more and that is attention.  Most gamblers pay little attention to their partners. Where their treasure is, there will their heart and attention be. It becomes worst if he is a gambling addict.

Women like money , yea. But no woman who is really committed  to the relationship will tolerate a man that gives her little or no attention.  What is love without attention.  Aside romantic relationships, gambling addicts pay little or no attention to happenings around their environment except issues and topics relating to gamble. Gambling can actually affect relationships whether the gambler involved is successful or not.

If a gambler is afraid that people will think negatively about his gambling, he can hide his gambling activities from them so that problems arise later. But those who hide their gambling activities must have good self-control so they don't experience gambling addiction problems. Many gamblers have experienced this problem of gambling addiction, so they must really be able to control themselves so they can gamble comfortably. And it's best that while he's gambling in secret, he can set clear boundaries so that he doesn't use a lot of money, which could cause him to become addicted to gambling.

A gambler must gamble in secret if he believes that his gambling activities may lead to harm if someone else knows about them. Because there are some people who have negative thoughts about those individuals involved in gambling. Many gamblers who are addicted to gambling and their families are ruined. I know a gambler who often take money from his girlfriend for managing his gambling money. He lied and took a lot of money and his girlfriend also give him. suddenly when she found out that her boyfriend was addicted to gambling, she made many requests to get him back and eventually the relationship was lost.

Of course I agree with you that gambling has cost so many relationship a lot because normally most women are not fan of gambling due to the reason that gamblers are mostly the people who are very irresponsible.

But however gambling has done most relationship and marriages more harm than good, the one I witnessed was a man his wife told to stop gambling due to the fact that they hardly feed well and the little they have the husband will use it for gambling , so when she tried so hard to stop the husband and he refused so she had no option but to leave the man. But however I believe there are gamblers who are leaving very wiell with there wife due to the fact that they have control over there gambling habits and doesn't allow himself to be overwhelmed with gambling as such affecting there family.

When someone is gambling responsibly, I don't think gambling is going to have any negative effect in his relationship with his people around him because he's gonna be time conscious and also know the ideal time to gamble and when to give people around him the necessary attention they need.
It's a gamble addict that  will always dedicate all his time, resources and energy in gambling which in return will affect not just his relationship with people around him l but also with anyone that he's got business deals with. These are the reasons why every gambler have gamble responsibly.

That's not really a justification as to why you should keep gambling even though it's severing or damaging your relationships. Of course it's different story if you are winning all the time or that you are responsible in your gambling habits but that's not the rule, it's an exception. Can you do what you're talking or you're just saying that because you think it's right because I feel like you make it look easy to sever bonds to justify gambling as if that's what's happening to every gamblers out there.
Not on point dude, as much you and I agree on what @Kelward said, that's not really the case for every gambler out there, what he's saying is the ideal thing you can do when you're gambling while at the same time justifying it when that's not really the case. I don't know about you guys but if a person who is really disciplined, is also smart enough to not start gambling to test his/her discipline.

A gambler that is responsible to his duties and obligations will less likely have a problem regarding his gambling routine and to the people around him, and this includes his connection and relationship to the people important in his life. If someone is disciplined enough to practice moderate and responsible gambling, there will be no spouse that will complain and be irritated about the gambling practice. If the needs are being met at home, no wife will be a nagger and there will be no argument. So as easy as that, you should be responsible to your financial obligations to your family and to yourself so you will avoid trouble.

Additionally, you should practice allocating just enough time in gambling so you could have some spare for your family and friends for bonding and relaxation. Having enough time for your family will make them feel loved and cared for and if you lack hiving it to them, they will feel neglected resulting to negative effects to your relationship.

You know what they say that success is everybody's friend but failure is a bastard, so if you're a gambler and you're making fortunes from gambling, at the same time making out quality time to be with loved ones, believe me you'll hardly have a problem with their relationship. Especially when you're responsible in meeting up with your financial obligations without making any excuses. I think that the reason why some gamblers might have issues in their relationship is mainly because they give excuses in their financial obligations, if there's nothing to show for all the efforts that they put in gambling.

Another reason why gambling can affect relationships is because it is associated with addiction and people who are addicted to gambling don't always heed to reasoning, they're main focus and happiness is on the gambling that they're addicted to. In the long run the habit can affect their relationship because of the priority put on gambling over relationship.

I agree, that is the sad state or negative effects of being in social media and a influencer, you might have a lot of followers and friend, but in real life - 0 and you don't know how to get along the way with other people too.

And there is this case wherein I saw a lot of relationships in social media getting broken because their time is just spend to make videos after videos and in the end they just got burn and just decided to call it quits.

If they have similar views on gambling, it will be easier to understand each other, of course they can gamble simultaneously. Yes, you are right, I have also seen many husband and wife relationships destroyed because a husband does not give the money they earn for their household needs, the husband spends a lot of money on gambling and this will of course lead to separation.

While I agree this is going to get more difficult as time goes by, as the digital life of each person is becoming more important than their real life, I remember watching a documentary about influencers and due to the nature of their work they had hundreds of thousands of followers and friends in the different platforms they use, but they had zero friends in real life, so more and more people are taking their digital life more seriously and this is generating an environment in which addiction can run rampant.

Excessive behavior by a person can affect his relationships with others and alienate him from others because he only thinks about what he is doing and only wants to do that thing. That's what happens to someone. If they focus on one thing that takes up almost all of their time and doesn't do anything else, even just eating or sleeping, they will need help to divide their time. They feel like they are in their own world without anyone else and if someone tries to enter, they will try to reject it.

Yes, self-awareness and discipline are very necessary in this case, especially if he decides to gamble in his room without anyone knowing. He would probably stay in his room without trying to communicate with anyone else if he didn't have strong self-control. This has happened to addicted gamers.
