In the meantime, I want to discuss the reality that a gambler can reach the age where he doesn't want to gamble anymore. When we start aging our priorities in life start changing. We get to have more responsibilities in our hands. Remembering the extent to which we gamble when we are youth it is observed that gambling can be more appealing during our youth stage. But it's less when we get older.
The reason why most persons stop gambling while aging is because of financial security which I mentioned earlier about taking responsibilities, being focused on their family, retirement, and other life goals which gambling may not be important at this stage of life.
What do you think are other reasons why gamblers may choose to stop gambling while they are aging?
Age can never be a reason why a gambler will want to quite gambling, I would say that so far gambler are still healthy enough to explore or exercise their gambling activities irrespective of their age they wouldn't just quit simply because they are aging. But however one of the reasons why a gambler may choose to stop gambling while growing old could be that their overall gambling experience has not been favorable to him which will make him loss or lower his interest in gambling, that is to say his losses are nothing to be compared with winning in that regards he might decide to quite with feeling that he has been doing it for a long time without a positive result considering the fact that majority do gamble for profit and not just for fun . In my area the most popular gambling is the football betting and their still some notable people that I know that been gambling for long time now irrespective of their age they still make their forecast and predictions.
