It will take more time before some altcoins become a threat to bitcoin. They have to match the achievements of the leading coin for the past years including its price and market capitalization. These altcoins hopefuls should also match the popularity of bitcoin to get more support and attract a lot of investors. Ethereum is the nearest competitor of bitcoin but it is unlikely to become a threat to the top cryptocurrency.

I personally do not think the numbers of altcoin have influence or serve as a threat to the existence of bitcoin. if you look around today you will see we already have so many altcoin with many more being introduced to the market every day. 99% of altcoin are being paired directly on exchange platform with bitcoin which mean the price directly depend on bitcoin and today when you see bitcoin price dropping then you will realize that the price of altcoin also drop.

There is possibility that it might happen in the future that Bitcoin might superseded by Altcoin but the question is when? This is possible like if all big whales will unite in conspiracy to dump the Bitcoin currency in the future and then they will pump like the Ethereum to succeed so everything is theoritically possible but not very likely to happen.
I think its not a threat to bitcoin since bitcoin is the pillars of crypto currency it will remain the most popular and king of all the coin and altcoins is always dependent on bitcoin value because bitcoin is the main actor on crypto currency, I obserbed that there are many people wants to have altcoins just gain bitcoin. IN a way yes,because the nore the merrier since bitcoins domination is continuing in progress with more than 50% of shares

all the alt coins are based on bitcoin technology, so if something with as same hype. That would be a long time from nos ^^. Without bitcoin the Othee alt coins are nothing

In my opinion, the existence of so many cryptos actually creates a very dynamic market that can stir enough interest from people who can learn about the concept more. And you know what they say about competition. It will only bring out the best in these products. Will bitcoin still come out on top? Only time will tell. May the best crypto win!

yes ofcourse investors divert their capital to those alts that for them that alts can give them a good profit so it is a threat to the bitcoin price to have a value like last year.there are lots of ICO in the market that really have a good purpose that is why investors see that kind of investment too.
the point is actually the same, coin that has technology that is increasingly sophisticated and has good stability will be number one and the longer it will be more and more people know and believe it. bitcoin is really very famous for now, maybe bitcoin will still be a stable and good coin.

The presence of altcoins will not affect bitcoin, most experts and giants in this field recognize more bitcoin than other coins,Bitcoin will always be the best because bitcoin is the reserve currency of the crypto space,I think altcoin is not a threat to the bitcoin ecosystem,bitcoin will stay on top because everyone feels more comfortable and trusts bitcoin.

Despite of having thousands of altcoins out there, no altcoins will gonna harm bitcoin. They will not replace it nor beat bitcoin. Altcoins are created to give chance others to atleast afford some kind of crypto coins aside from bitcoin. But this doesn't mean that they are created to destroy bitcoin.

the negative impact of many ico projects alone is that there are more scam and unsuccessful projecks, I think bitcoin is still the best and will continue to be used

Not at all. Bitcoin has nothing to do with altcoins and most of them are just following the bitcoin course. Just pay attention in what projects are you investing and what coins are you holding because there is always the risk that some coins can collapse and you don't want to be a holder of any of them.

There are so many altcoins energung in the market but no one can ever beat butcoin they just stay at its back because we all kniw that bitcoin is still the number one and the most popular coins ever.

Yeah it's the other way around even. Btc affects alts whether in a positive or negative way but alts, whatever their numbers are, will hardly affect the way btc moves. For now that is. That's how dominant btc is in this cryto market.

Altcoin being a threat to bitcoin is just an ambitious move of every altcoin as they're all dreaming that one day they will be on top. Nonetheless, no one will and ever replace on where bitcoin is. The fact that even a lot of bitcoin fork coins were born, trying to imitate what bitcoin had, they even won't touch the bottom of bitcoin
