There are no bitcoin day but its possible to have one. The only problem is who will make the first move since it entails a huge sum of money for it to be realized. Maybe today it will be impossible but in the future if there is somebody who is a billionaire in bitcoin industry who will sponsor then that will be realized.

Okay, just marking your calendar at the date when satoshi is making bitcoin.  Cheesy
It's already clear.
But it seems like bitcoin has not needed it. and I don't ever see fiat day.

Every big event or thing, invention has a day to commemorate or its commemorative day https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_commemorative_days
I would like to call upon entire bitcoin community to make a bitcoin commemorative day also.
Something like World Bitcoin Day.
I hope this will bring bitcoin to more attention.

LOL Yeah that's could be nice. There is a day for anything, why not a day for Bitcoin ? With foreworks, ect... We can decide this without any authority, you know. After 2-3 years with this, it will appear normal to have the bitcoin day.  Cheesy Media will have no choice to talk abou it...
So wich day will be good do you think ? Grin

I like the sound of a Bitcoin Day... Hope we could celebrate it annually and be able to receive bitcoins as a gift from someone...Wouldn't it be nice if we all get to gather around and receive bitcoins for just one day? and forget about this mining jobs and decoding things.

Yes why not! There is 7/8 special days only  on February So obviously we can have bitcoin day Grin Everyone bitcoin user will participate and observe this day. It can be a great way to exchange our thoughts face to face with many unknown people. It is very much possible I think Undecided

How about Bitcoin day on 29th of February  Cheesy  That also remind us of halving every four year just like a leap year every 4 year.  Aside from that I do not find any other reason for that day.  But it is symbolic in my opinion since Bitcoin halves every four years.

Yeah, that is a good one. Here in our country I do really want to know who is using bitcoin and I want to talk to them. Having that World Bitcoin Day will be a way to socialize with other bitcoin user here. You know, talk about bitcoin not only here in the forum but in the real world. That will be really great seeing the people that you have only seen their usernames in this forum.

I think that we can have more than one special day, first a more official Bitcoin day (genesis day), second another more commercial day the bitcoin pizza day (for discounts on bitcoin shops). And finally the halving day (big party) only once 210.000 blocks (every 4 years).

Maybe when bitcoin officially becomes a currency recognized by all world standards and it is traded on the stock market equally with all the other global currencies.
That would be the day of bitcoin.

There is simply not a way to know how many people are using bitcoin, and that makes sense if you think about it since bitcoin offers pseudonymity then a person may hold many wallets and addresses with different identities and no one will know that is just one person holding all those coins.

That would be great to have a bitcoin day.

But i think, that first of all bitcoin must grow a little bit more to do such a day.

We need more acceptance in the world.
Such a good idea to have a bitcoin day..but this will be happening every year or every month?
I think we have event with bitcoin like block halving event but the problem it takes years before we can celebrate for new blockhalving..

It's nice to know when bitcoin was created, when it started, but it's not important to have a date every year to commemorate this. Is there dollar day celebration? It's a currency like any other, not a saint, event, person birthday...

If a lot of people and government has recognize bitcoins, then maybe we can have a bitcoin day celebration.

Genesis Block Day and Bitcoin pizza day. About these dates are always reminded in the news every year. It's hard to miss these days when all of them say. For me and my friends it's just an excuse to get drunk once again. I like holidays, so I don't mind one more.

Well, Why not a Bitcoin month, January ....when everything started way back in 2009.  Tongue .....What do you want to happen on that day

or month? On Black Friday, we get super cheap deals... should we ask all services and merchants that accepts Bitcoin to have a flash

sale on that day, or have everything cheaper in that month? It would be great, because it is just after Xmas... and everyone is looking

for some great deals.  Roll Eyes

The day the Genesis block was mined is imo the best candidate. Also, we already have Bitcoin Pizza Day for a few years now Smiley.
+1, we also need to make that day something like people sending donations to an address for creating a full node that could help the network.

I'm against that idea. One of two things will happen: 1. along with the attention it'll bring to the community so will follow an ungodly amount of negativity.   2. It becomes so overblown and far up its ass no one will take it seriously anymore (like breast cancer day nowadays)

But it's possible only for country who accept bitcoin tolerance that can be use for civilian
