The next version will have a gpu selector switch. Then you can run 1 instance per gpu. Should be a little bit bether.

OK, will try that. I have 1.6 ghs and haven't found a block in 48 hours....

Any recommendations SP_?

The difficulty has risen since I released #4.  #5 solves a larger amout of data per iteration than #4.
If the blocktime is low, it might be bether to run with a lower intensity.

Looks like the 1060/1080s with faster memory were released today. Hopefully someone can get some for testing so we can see benchmarks sometime soon. Also aren't out on the market yet.

A lot of people having difficulty with Nexus #5. Doesn't seem to be finding many blocks compared to previous versions.

Any recommendations SP_?

This option will not affect cuda/opencl - relates only to graphics with compute workloads (async compute)

Are you sure vaulter?

From the link I posted from the NVIDIA webpage:

"This setting is intended to provide additional performance to non-gaming applications that use large CUDA address spaces and large amounts of GPU memory"
Yes - you are correct - it relates to virtual memory page size (64kb vs 128kb for Maxwell only)

sp or anyone else. This is from the EWBF thread:

@EWBF_
I noticed a new option in the Nvidia control panel when installing the 381.65 drivers (seems to be in there since 378.72 or something) for my GTX 980.
It is called: "Optimize for Compute Performance"
screenshot

At the moment when I enable that setting the miner (v3.3b) gives an error message: can not run workers

Maybe making use of those optimizations could improve efficiency of the miner as it does for some other applications ?

This could have some impact on our 970/980 cards if someone could get it to work with miners...

How much does a GTX 1070 do in ethereum?

You're OT in here with this ,but here is secret answer only for you.
For about 50-60 °C with 40-65% fan speed, depends on season.

More and consumption in W?

I found sweet spot at 66% TDP @ 120W

How much hashrate ? .

Perhaps it can be used to increase the intensity.

yep, its him, "bct account" lol not btc... He linked me the thread post this morning on irc

newmz: there is no cryptonight in alexis and sp versions..

else i prefer to stay out of this one way discussion... i already tried

Yuh... Guessing someone is stirring the pot here and I'm not talking about Alexis.

While SP does use others work, he also does improve on it... Almost all developers do here. If anyone thinks people are recoding the wheel from the ground up they're pretty disillusioned to life. That's like half of coding.

I don't fault SP for not wanting to release his work either. Not sure how anyone would think that someone who is selling a private miner would open source it just to placate someone else. That's literally giving away your product for free. Once it's in the wild the same thing happens, other people copy the work and improve on it. Good devs can decompile a .exe as well as long as it's not encrypted, not sure why this is even a issue if Alexis is as good as he says he is (he does write some good code).

Also Alexis if you want more money for your work talk to Nicehash, they tend (usually) to be in the best interest of miners and commission work. It's too bad their market is a fucking bot dumping ground. As I mentioned before they really should convert to a multipool and allow people to purchase hashrate for more then what the multipool is currently mining instead of always going for undercutting common coins. They'd make a lot more money and they'd also help miners out.

A lot of miners are tards, I wouldn't be surprised if their cards are either throttling or they have a low TDP selected from mining Equihash.

Someone is instigating drama here. Not sure who pissed in Alexis's cheerios today, but it's showing. Probably something in a IRC channel somewhere. I've never actually seen him post on BCT before. It's a brand new account.

Epsylon can you confirm this is the same guy that made the miner? Based on the hate SP gets around here and the seemingly lack of any sort of coding knowledge by this 'Alexis' (can't deconstruct .exes for comparison for instance, just wants github code), I'd say it's a smurf account for trolling.

Trolling.

Funny coming from you.

You should really know who the devs are.

And speaking of dumbasses. Did you ever see my rant about SIB? I was using Alexis's miner for months before it became common knowledge. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean they aren't a 'real dev', this isn't a fucking pissing contest. SP does plenty of work, he tries to make money for it and there isn't anything wrong with that. Hell that's what you're fucking doing by mining. You think mining is a money tree and it's not coming from somewhere? Jesus, sell your rigs and go flip burgers somewhere.

Pot calling the kettle black. People get angry when devs don't get 'paid' that should, but don't want to pay other devs that actually want to get paid for their work and then call them 'greedy'. It's just one giant game to get everything for free. There is a literal fuck ton of miners in here who have tried to play both sides of that just so they don't have to pay devs by trying to pit them against eachother.

One giant game of subterfuge.

Really, s7icky never shows up until the thread gets hostile.  I suspect he is another coder.  The language was not offensive until the last post, even if the discussion was heated.

We are all stuck in the same pot, like beans in a slow-cooker.  Please try to allow the flavors to mellow...       --scryptr
