What are you guys pulling at the wall with 1080s? Not talking low TDP, max TDP, high OC, high utilization algorithm (SIB for instance).

About 600 watts - (2) EVGA 1080 FTW plus system.  So about 250 watts per card.  Algo - Sha3 - Nexus

Sounds about right. Nexus isn't a high utilization algo though. SIB or Lyra2v2 would do it.

I have lived in the Berkeley Hills and used to work in the Silicon Valley..

Now I sell private kernels for pocket money...
and drink to much ))

Not enough donations for the drunken master...

Still hoping for donations? Hmm maybe I have a different definition.

RMA experience with EVGA, international 3 years warranty: WOW! :-)
The online procedure is simple and well organised. Just needs the serial number. They sent a new card back, after only a week, and it was even a better model! It hashes faster and I have a spare box and some extra caps LoL :-D

Yup... Good RMA experiences, too bad they break in the first place. What went wrong with the card that you had to send it in in the first place?

one out of ten had the issue, it just returned from the cuda thread with an error as soon as the load got true.
maybe ram.

Weird, I've just had them burn out on me, never had stability issues. That holds true for all of my Nvidia cards. Usually the fans die or they burn out (literally).

Something else I've noticed between mining across multiple cards. Seems like Nvidia has much more consistent performance then AMD. Nvidia cards seem to depend a lot on clockspeed/memspeed and TDP, that's it (occasionally cooling).

AMD card performance is all over the board. Depending on which cards you buy determines how much performance you get, this varies A LOT. It also includes clock/memspeed/TDP/core/straps/thermalthrottlethreshold and of course the cooler. Almost all of their cards have shit coolers on them that can't keep up with the cards, a lot of them are TDP locked to like +5% (others at +50%). Even if you duplicate settings across multiple cards and they're all cooled perfectly with perfect power delivery they'll still perform differently. It's the biggest grab bag of shit I've ever seen. Depending on your vendor you may lose 20% performance between two different cards (even after strap modification).

Even in a absolutely perfect scenario some cards will still oscillate (which of course degrades performance).

tortellino,

Coins without a star  in the column 'circulating supply' can be mined.

The coins with a star is mostly instamined scamcoins controlled by a few dickheads. Ethereum might go POS (prof of stake ready to be harvested..)  and die quietly. (out of funding) (out of budget) (out of spirit)

sry, maybe i was misunderstood...i wanna know what algos with ccminer are best to mine with a nvidia 1060? thx for your answers!

Did you buy it from evga or some local dealer?

I have good experiences about evga-eu, rma takes about one week, you don't loose warranty (3 years) if you change custom cooler and sometimes they have good b-stock deals (1 year warranty).

local cheap dealer.
