That 120SOl/s miner from the Zcash forum is most likely a fake... see my posts there.

When I do consulting work for the company I work for we charge 200EUR an hour. I have 16 years experience.

While it's speculation, what would you guess DJ made on his zcash miner? (Feel free to just set us straight, DJ. I'm interested for budgeting purposes for a possible future business).

In case you missed it, Claymores Zcash is out. Looking at 50sols on a 470. Haven't found a 480.

Are people so excited about the Claymore Zcash miner because it supports Windows? My SILENTARMY Zcash miner is as fast as (if not a hair faster) than Claymore. And open source. And zero dev fee.

Maybe I should prioritize Windows support higher?

I would say this is more of big/bigger miners vs small miners.

I know plenty of bigger miners that use Windows. There is no reason to use Nix in this scenario. People just like thinking Nix is always superior, which definitely isn't the case, especially when it comes to mining... For instance monitoring, tweaking, troubleshooting, and recovery.

so since i have already plenty of lbry i prefer to mine zcash now which is more profitable

Zcash down another 30% today, and with claymore taking over the hash you bether move your NVIDIA rigs over to LBRY or something more profitable.

i see that lbry is also down, better to stay with zcash for the moment, it's still the top one, but ti seems that etheruem is the close second, but i don't like etheruem and its stupid requirement of oc to much the memto have proper hashrate

btw sp, can't you make something about a faster zcash miner? or at least a good solver for cuda?

if you have fixed the Makefile.am with the correct parameters - i would like a replacement copy as well please ...

but please send it via a download link - as it seems none of your attachments ( except for the emails themselves ) are coming through ... which is the reason all i have been doing here is watching and reading ...

tanx ...

It's not difficult to fix the makefile. It should be a good exercise for you.

i have little time as is building the entire infrastructure for cwi - and doing full time contracts sp ...

and paying for a broken miner? ... and i have to fix it? ... really mate? ...

it would be a blink of an eye for you - considering you are making so much money now with your farm that it wouldnt take you away for too long ... Smiley ...

come on sp - do your investors a favor ... especially one that helped and paid a great deal in days not too long ago ...

besides - i do enough exercise as is ... 5 days a week ...

Because the tromp solver is slow. It is not written for the gpu. Bether to port the silent army kernel to cuda.
Or wait for djm34 or Epsylon to do it ))

SP just said he made 6-7 BTC on his last release which was about 100 hours of programming... That's $4200-4900 or $42-49 a hour... which is pretty good for a job you can do on your own and need no infrastructure or investments to produce besides your own time. If he continued to release it and add features, he probably would've made a lot more off his fee, instead he dropped it.

I made less than that..

There is open source cuda code - nheqminer - based on Tromp cuda solver. I wonder why sp_ still not added some __launch_bounds to functions and don't sell it as _sp private zcash 1.0 blablabla ))

I read many pages and I see that sp just uses people. He uses open source mining softwares for selling. After he sold them he didn't give update releases. Because of this he didn't give answer to nikolaj's questions. He used here just for his ego and for his show. If you have great expectations from him read back pages.

All my private kernels have updates with speed improvements. In spreadcoin I have 10 releases. It took 1.5 year from release 9 to release 9+. (Pascal) LBRY sp-mod have 3 updates. Release #4 is delayed becuse somebody is selling my work to people like rednow.

I paid for SP9 and never received 9+, as I paid for SPmod LBRY and never received the SP4 that you've referred a lot of times for "your farm". It's pretty clear that you're abusing of donators, promoting versions of your kernels that you never release.

I'm totally disappointed, this is too much. The delay it seems more and excuse than anything else, you cannot blame someone and damage the ones that gave you money, in return of a product. These products, frankly speaking, were pretty underwhelming. 1.8.3 from tpruvot it's ass fast as SP3, but without a 3.3% fee (plus another % lost due bugs in your code and constant reconnections. I've even shown you them, and hadn' t any response in matter).

Blame yourself, not others.

You recieved 9+(cuda 8.0 build) spreadminer 9 is from july 2015.
Release #3 of libry was the fastest when  I released it 3rd of september. 1.8.3 came 3 weeks larer and is slower on all models except the 1070.

@SP - I am a spreadcoin donator - can you please forward me the spreadminer9+ with compile for cuda 8?  I can only reach 6500 mh/s with the latest one you sent me.

i second that ...

and the spreadminer-spmod9 doesnt even compile sp ...

the Makefile.am you asked me to adjust a while back has been skewed since version 7 - it just does not compile ... so spreadminer-spmod7 has been the only one that has been in use on thefarm when it mines ...

Okay something for sure..it neeedd some serious observation since he is modding the cuda dlls to make work what ever he did.
I hope if he releases what he did..it could be reversed to optimise or improve nheqminer..
