You use a profit shifter software and kill the miner process right  aftter it has been launched. Less than 10 seconds. Don't run through  a profit switcher. Run it standalone

It's essentially free profit. Since Nvidia hardware is so under-utilized in the case of Eth, it should be able to mine another algo like Dcr at maybe 50% normal speed, while mining Eth at full speed.

However, people tend to forget to mention that this will obviously raise your power use.

Something a lot of us don't want.

In case of Claymore's, i only ETH mine with it because when i dual mine it uses a shitload of extra electricity. When optimizing it to use the exact same amount as before, i will obviously lose hash. Thus not profitable anymore.

If your electricity is free, then it's a great miner.

I cannot reproduce your problem on my rigs. Did you try the 1.7.6 release or the 1.5.79 sp-mod. Do you get the same problem? What are your settings on your profit switching software? Does it work if you mine f.eks quark without the switcher? Why is one of your rigs working without any problems and the other doesn't? Reinstall the whole rig with windows 8.1 and the latest drivers
