Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??
I heard about some of these coins, and I am glad that celebrities turn their attention to crypto-currencies and create their own tokens. But we must be careful with such coins, because some scammers use the popularity of celebrities to attract money, nothing more.

Well, we seen the outcome of celebrity endorsed project and it has been trouble for those who use celebrity and leverage on their popularity to pull in funds from those who have little to no understanding of cryptocurrency based project, they have had to suffer law suit and bad PR! I hope we lean from this as a community!

They are paid to endorse the project and same like us bounty hunters we get paid for promoting them in various bounty campaigns. I doubt celebrities are long term investor and for sure they only care for a quick profit.

I think it's not a confession, but a money-making one! And most likely these celebrities don’t even understand what they actually advertised! what a blockchain is and know about its advantages!

Indeed many celebrities do not even understand what they advertise and cannot answer questions when asked about cryptocurrency. They just make money on project advertising.

Advertising projects that are held today by very famous people in any case will enjoy serious success, but it very often happens that projects ultimately become scam projects that advertise celebrities and this is very bad for their reputation.

I think that celebrities can actually just advertise certain coins to attract users. After all, their fans will more trust the products they advertise.

I guess you are right as this might be a another way of marketing, celebrities never involve in any aspect without money. Well they always want to be in a comfort zone in the very first they will addict their fans on a similar coin and make it popular. Guys trust the project rather than trusting these fellow celebrities.
Yes, it can affect the popularization of cryptocurrency. But I still have not seen one ad. Although I am a fan of Manchester United)

It turns out that many celebrities who have made HYIP for many cryptocurrencies, in fact, simply did not understand what it is and now many famous people are beginning to report in court, because investors are suing.

If celebrities advertise projects it is good, because the developers have paid them a considerable amount for advertising , which means the project will be successful.

Instead of a celebrity, I prefer companies to be endorsed by someone that is well known in the industry.

I don't think anyone with no knowledge of crypto should endorse. It may boost the PR of the coin but not good enough if the crypto doesn't do good for itself.

I don't know if he's mentioned, nor if he counts as a celebrity, but McAfee is making his McAfee coin on Universa blockchain. I guess that counts almost as an endorsement.

Viberate seems to be a good project though and looking at the fact that the project has to do with entertainment, I am not surprised it they have some celebrities on their side or if they have few endorsed as this would really help the project a lot. It is a project I am really watching out for and I want to believe it is going to be big.

let me add +1 to this Smiley

I think there's a high chance that a celebrity endorsed coin might backfired or turn a turn for the worse unless that celebrity has long dabbled with crypto publicly as well. Else the celebrity is also trying to cash in for the short period of time too (nothing wrong with that technically).
