Seeing how many ICO's Floyd is promoting, I think I'll make it my morning routine to check his Instagram to see what coins to not take very seriously.

stay away from any ico endorsed by celebrity because:

1- those celebritys don't understand anything on cryptocurrencys

2- it's a pretext to sell tokens at expensive price to investors

I'm torn about this.  On one hand, it's great because it has provided exposure to the entire industry. On the other hand, it's obvious that the celebrities are purely doing this for influencer marketing compensation and do not have any long-term plans with the company they are promoting.

Sound. Fury. Signifying.

I have mixed emotions about celebrity ICO endorsements. On the one hand, I like that it brings increased awareness of cryptocurrencies to the masses. On the other hand, I suspect that most celeb endorsed crypto (witness that scamcoin Paris Hilton recently tweeted about only to have to delete the tweet later when the scammy nature of the coin emerged) is for low-quality offerings and outright scams. If the masses' first taste of crypto is getting screwed on some celeb-backed P&D, that's bad for the overall market.

Still, I think the potential exists for a happy middle ground.

First, the celebrity endorsement needs to come from someone with relevance to financial markets, not an athlete or reality TV star.

Second, the coin needs to be fully vetted and legit.

This would be something like Mad Money's Jim Cramer endorsing something like Iconomi or TaaS or some other legit finance related coin.

I think celebrity endorsement is a good thing for the crypto world. They do have a lot of followers and what cryptocurrency needs now is more and more awareness.
they have a big influence so by that some people will convince to know more about bitcoin but for me no need to endorse no need to use celebrity if people want to know about bicoin why they dont its free to know and to learn if they want but if that is not the purpose why celebrity endorse cryptocurrency so it is ok or good idea if they use celebrity.
i agree, in todays world it's easy to get people to do something if one of their favorite football player, actor or singer endorse. Some people are just sheep and some people would actually start looking into it, either way, good way to do the promotion of the cryptocurrency

I believe it is important if celebrities, public characters put some spot on crypto world. even if they don't do it, we'll be growing but there is no good or bad advertisement. marketing is marketing.

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??
you forgot this one. Hubii network : Floyd Mayweather
i think just a few of his fans who can participate on ICOs because much of his fans is from US. More useful to advertise in social media and i think it's cheaper than using celebrity endorsements

I think most of these stars are just getting paid for that.
It's all about marketing.
Take a look at all this ICOs..it seems that you "must" have some kind of big star working for you to get some attention.
And its not only about stars from the show business but also big names from other buisnesse.
For instance there is a new project going on for a crypto decentralised bank..change is the name of the project..
and they have the ex CEO from DHL as advisors.
I don't see a big connection with managing a big company for shipping and a crypto bank..but hey he is still the ex CEO of a worldwide
known business. Roll Eyes
Let's just be honest..most of these people are just getting payed to sponsor this projects.

p.s. if you want to be part of the next big revolution after Bitcoin, take a look at this project  Wink

Holy, all of the celebrity open an endorsement because they got paid, if they didn't they will never open an endorsement service, you're not living in the cave right? it's such a normal thing among popular people or so called celebrity among the world. If you are curious about it, kindly find some celebrities' instagram and make a conclusion out of it.

Let's be honest, the only reason why these celebs are getting involved is the big paycheck they are receiving, so it could end badly if people choose to get involved just because they like the celeb endorsing a cryptocurrency.

It is good in the aspect that more people will learn about the topic and hopefully research past Luis Suarez liking it.

I don't think it is good, all it gives is hype .

They add nothing but marketing value but i think it isn't needed when your tech is good.
I stay far away from these.

We can't hide the truth that this is a good start for crypto world. Celebrities are a good way of promoting anything even crypto. If you asking how many fans care about crypto, some but not all of course BUT the good thing here, because their celebrity is endorsing it, it will give them curiosity to check, research and invest on crypto which will make an awareness to the outside world not just us who are already aware with the digital currency

This would just create hype then after the ICO, people would just dump the coin. It's great that they show interest on cryptocurrencies but like any other devs, they're all in just for the money (we all are) so what's gonna be left are shitcoins.

It's good for the celebs as they are running to the bank with fiat currency, but i would never invest into a ICO on the sole fact that a celeb has said "they like a coin"
It doesn't mean much for a celeb to get featured on the coin unless that celeb is contributing something other than money into the project.

We all don't know what's really behind it if they do really invest or do they just got paid. But still this is a good publicity for the cryptos and raise awareness for this new technology. Whatever it will bring, good or bad publicity will still a publicity.

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??

I am sure they have no idea on what they are endorsing what the project is all about or how it works. Celebrities will do anything to always be in the news because this  will mean more money in their bank account. And the primary purpose of involving them, is just to give it a face just like how cocacola will bring a celeb to be be a brand ambassador and nothing else is attached just to get paid for their service whether in cash or in kind.

Of course they don't even have a clue as to what crypto currency is. LOL. They are just hired to promote because they have a loyal fan based. So it will have a positive effect on the coins that they are promoting. Those fans will do anything for their idol like Floyd and Paris Hilton. If those two said in their twitter to buy the coins they are promoting, are sure those dumbnuts will get it without blinking eye. That's how influential they are. So its gonna be a win-win for both the celebrity endorser and the coins itself.
