Bringing in more awareness to crypto in general is good and Celebrities help with that.
For all your coworkers and classmates how are they going to learn and get interested into crypto?  Celebrities may not be the best way it is A way for people that know nothing about crypto to maybe get curious and read more into it.

The concept is good, once cryptocurrencies are main stream. Currently it's just pointless as the ave. follower of these individuals most likely have no idea what cryptocurrencies are or do!

It's good for the celebs as they are running to the bank with fiat currency, but i would never invest into a ICO on the sole fact that a celeb has said "they like a coin"
It doesn't mean much for a celeb to get featured on the coin unless that celeb is contributing something other than money into the project.

Just advertising and nothing more.
They don't even understand what was happening.

And certainly before investing in the ico, which is promoting celebrity, think twice.
I agree adverts like this will make crypto world famous and most of their fans will want to find out what they could have been missing that is unknown to them. But it is bad if anyone would because of this, join a project or contribute to an ICO with the thought that since it is endorsed by a celebrity, then it is most definitely a good project.

I personally do not consider celebrity endorsement as a means for me to trust or believe in a project, in fact, that is when I even get more curious. The crucial thing is to dig deeper on the project and see if it is worth investing in or not.

I think celebrity endorsement is a good thing for the crypto world. They do have a lot of followers and what cryptocurrency needs now is more and more awareness.

this is a great idea because it will make the crypto currency more famous, because people will listen if a celebrity is promoting and people will watch it and they start investing in it.

I think it is very good. After all, many trust these people and listen to their opinion. It popularitywith cryptocurrencies.
However people should invest very carefully, read their whitepaper throughly, don't invest what you can't lose is the bottom line

Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??

Look at these celebrities. Do they know a thing or two about the crypto projects that they are promoting? I seriously doubt it. If it is endorsed by Satoshi, that would be another story but if these celebrities are the ones doing the promotion, it won't count anything to me. Paris, Mayweather? Who are these, after all?

Just because something is celebrity endorsed, doesn't mean it is any good as a product.

For example Floyd Mayweather is endorsing many coins but i doubt he actually knows what they are all about. He just gets paid for a simple shoutout on twitter(which he may not even write himself) and gets paid for it.

Now i actually think that having a celebrity promote your coin means that you have no other way of gaining adopters. If you look at most successful coins, they have not been as a result of a celebrity endorsement.

it works only to make a hype
but how useful can it be if the coin has nothing to give?

How much are they getting paid for posting those images? last night i was thinking about that.. It is not easy to convince floyd mayweather to post an image talking about cryptocurrencies, and obviously, an ICO. But how many thousands are they paying him in order to do it? more than $100k i guess, how much do you think guys?
And Paris Hilton, lol.. Obviously that a lot of people are being convinced to participate in those icos after saying this kind of advertising.

it is now a lot of ico popping up, if the strategy used just like that, may not be able to find investors, the breakthrough is attracting celebrities world

My take on this would be positive. Because i have seen a lot of fans of famous people do various stupid things just to be like their idols. And even if some of them are not that obsessed, seeing their idol talk about a certain coin. Curiosity will kick in and will probably crawl bit by bit into their heads at night. Which then may lead into them doing their own way of research about a certain coin to find out what the fuss is all about. Then probably jump in, then spread the word and so on.

It probably helps in bringing the word out to non-crypto people. However, this celebrity endorsement thing in any sector is incredibly annoying. It's no different in crypto as it is in razors, beers or cars.

Must be a reason people keep paying them to do it though
But they will be seeing it as strange act has done by the celebrity because we are know that a lot of the people were unfamiliar with the crypto called it as another fraud or scam.
The celebrity just shilling the coin which it can be determined as useless act.

You'd be surprised how many fanatics are out there. And I think this kind of endorsement from celebrities are actually a great way of advertising their coins too. Of course these celebrities don't care about the project they are endorsing in but the fans are willing to spend much for their idols, so it is really a great marketing strategy to endorse celebrities.

I don't see the value in it , why would i need Mayweather to promote a coin to me, the guy probably doesn't even understand a bit of it.
It is now being marketed to the ''average'' people clearly.

Not a very good development i think.

Seems like Celeb endorsements are an easy way to help a coin get pumped and dumped   Undecided

Good for the pockets of the celebs, that's about it.

They don't care at all, and if they back the wrong horse, people will lose faith in cryptocurrencies.
