Here for enriching conversations
Sometimes it is imperative to change the rules midway or at the end of the program especially when you notice that what you initially set out to do is not working or your system is open to abuse. Yes, bounty hunters might get angry and all but the real end result that is desired when one holds a bounty campaign is not just to distribute free tokens but to raise awareness of the project and bring in investors. If it's not working then it can be changed. Also, bounty hunters end up dumping their tokens anyway and tanking the token price so it seems wise to pay them in drips and drabs!  Grin

Sometimes the team will change rules after bounty ended especially the one involving payment, some team will decide to change the date and time which payment was suppose to be paid and bm will just go along with it or support the team to treat hunters badly, not all bm are to blame but some are not helping matters.

If the rules change during the bounty and the bounty manager has stated that he and the project team will have the rights to change them during the bounty period, this is not a problem, But after the bounty ends, they add or modify rules for all campaigns so that bounty hunters do not get stakes or they get small tokens, This is deceptive work that indicates that the project team and its contributors are a group of scammers, I suggest that there is a third party who gets bounty BTC or ETH coins before the bounty starts and who distributes it to the participants after the end of the bounty, and anyone who wishes to receive the project's tokens can purchase it from the project team through BTC or ETH which obtained from the bounty campaign.

it feels sad if there are changes in any form when the project is over, because I have experienced it when the project has ended there is a change about the deduction of prize allocations. and I realize that from the beginning written in the bounty thread like: the team and the developer has the right to change the project rules at any time   Roll Eyes  so, there is no need to blame because those who have rights about the project rules.
You're right, even though it's disappointing but there's not much we can do. The rules were written from the beginning, the developer team and the bounty manager have the right to make any changes, and as a bounty hunter, if we have decided to join, we must understand that as a risk. No doubt, unfavourable market conditions are the reason for all this. When the market is conducive as in 2017, bounties also become very profitable.

Lately more and more bounties are not following its own rules. By changing it after the campaign was finish and its unacceptable a form of abuse, decietful, dishonest, in the beggining the stupid terms and condition which is all favor to the team. It should be stop! the bounties must be return to its previous state like 2016-2017 those abusive Bounty Managers whos practice unfair method must gain negative trust. join for the fight
As far as I remember almost all projects indicate that they are paired to change the rules at any time. But recently very often began to change them and to refer to this point.

This seems to be an unending tale with several projects in the crypto space at the moment. With the level to which most of these projects treat hunters, it begs the question, where are rules against these ill practices in this industry? The hunters are always at the receiving end with no one to fight for them or protect their own rights? The earlier something is done about this, the better for everyone involved.

Some may think that changing the rules of a bounty in the end of it is abusive, well for me it is a way of fraud project. Why they would have to change rules? and at the end? why not at the beginning? I treally think this is just another way so that several of the bounty hunters may not receive they payments or rewards.
Exactly mate, such projects are more than fraud  projects and i have come to the understanding that most of these issues pertaining to change in bounty rules at the end of the bounty campaign do happens when project managers and board realizes the token is increasing in much value and have the thought that definitely bounty hunters will dump whiles forgetting the bonus they gave to early investors.

I do not understand why such rules are changed when the bounty has entered the final stage, and almost all such cases occur with potentially successful bounties.
Has it been previously arranged by the manager or the bounty team ...?
If true, this is totally unacceptable, because they did not appreciate the role of bounty participants who had promoted their projects.
Most of the scam projects tend to do this. All they want is free advertising for their shit projects and raise money out of it and run away like pigs.
This is exactly why we should not join bounties randomly and instead we should do a hell lot of research about the project as well as the bounty manager before joining the bounty campaign.

sadly even that mean cheating the bounty manager can do anything they want. As bounty hunter whenever we join the bounty its mean we follow all the bounty manager rulers. All we can do just make thread here and mark the bounty hunter as cheater.

Unfortunately, this often happens, and it usually always depends not from the bounty manager, but from the company that doing the bounty, because specifically in each bounty the rules are written that at any time the company that doing the bounty can change the rules and reduce the bounty pool, and with this of course, it’s very difficult to do something, but there is always a way out in such situations, namely, all bounty hunters need to get together and fight with the team of such companies.
How would they do that when you know that everything we do is over the internet and to get people coordinated over the internet is something that is very bad, and the only way that I feel we can just stop all these abuse by these team and developers is to stop participating in some of those projects that cannot attest to the credibility of the developer or the project team, because many credible developer or project team would never cheat or do all those sort of rubbish at the end of the campaign.

Most of those projects that do that are either scam projects or they end up being a bad project because if they cannot manage ordinary bounty campaign, how can they manage the whole project? So, I am not sure we can fight them but we can at least make little impression.

Even though there was a bounty managers that cheats their are also bounty managers that work on their rules and getting honest to the bounty hunters that signs to their company. Also bounty must be turn back to the year 2017 to make our bounty hunters safe into the company that they are applying.

All hope that in a golden era like 2017 gift managers work with the rules that have been set since the beginning of the campaign without reversing the facts at the end of the gift. without seeing it can damage the prize participants who work for them, all are seen as the final scam and have the effect of being disappointed to join, because they are considered wasting time in vain with no clear results

Changing the rules especially that of allocation can be frustrating because hunters worked looking at the earlier assigned payout. Projects needs to stop the change of rules at the end of the campaign.

In fact, changing rules at the end of a bounty campaign can really be annoying and frustrating to bear and in a much perfect way, a great form of abuse. Though we do understand many times that bounty rules are subject to change but changing it after bounty hunters have promoted the projects is indeed a form of abuse and cheat.

Unfortunately, bounty hunters have no way to influence the final result of the distribution of coins and the conditions of generosity companies.
Bounty Hunters are not needed to influence the final results of distribution, All we care was the team and bounty rules must be followed in the first place! As the terms and condition will bind in the beginning til the End, Adding that the team and bounty Manager can change the rules anytime within the campaign period its binding, But when the term and rules will change after the campaign was already finish will thats another story and it will be an issue of honesty! the Perfect example was the "Digital Bits" Bounty Campaign! They twist and change the rules after the campaign was finished at first the binding rule was the distribution will commence after it was listed and it was not happen! they said that they will pay the campaign in Jan-March 2020! Thats why be careful to choose the right Bounty program.

Yes, this is something I really hate and feel disrespectful. I think the bitcointalk forum should have control positions for bounties campaigns.
I think people in the forum should really be respected and they should have the right to speak out about these injustices.

This is just a regular trick of how to pay less tokens to bounty participants, but unfortunately, they can do it. As we are starting to take part in bounties we are accepting the point that managers are allowed to change bounties in any direction that want to.
Points like that make bounty hunters unable to do anything. As bounty hunters, we can only surrender and accept the circumstances, because full authority is in their hands. But it's really unfair if when the bounty ends they cut down the allocation of bounty for no apparent reason, such a thing cannot be taken for granted, and will be very detrimental to bounty hunters who have been promoting their projects wholeheartedly.

You should know that before you joined the campaign, yes they are abusing their participants but they already stated in their rules that they have an option to change the rules anytime and they are always changing it to favor their campaign, just pick the right bounty manager to run the campaign who will not connive with the developer.

In most cases it's stated that the team and bounty manager have the right to alter rules or rewards. This doesn't necessarily mean rules should be altered to cheat bounty hunters promoting the project. Some change of rules are genuine but most are unfair. For instance, if total supply of coin was slashed, and total number of coins allocated for bounty is reduced, then it's OK. But if the reward is slashed for no reason, it's unfair.
