Exactly one month passed from the last monthly overview  so its time for the new one. Charts and table are made with the help of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Reminder that communities marked with * (Pakistan, Nigerian, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet, with the hope that will change soon.

Post activity per local board during October 2022

After having decreased amount of posts written across local board during September, last month was a little bit better with 14084 posts (up from 13857). Increase is very little, but considering how situation is going on lately in terms of activity, i will take it as a positive sign.

No changes among the most active local boards as Russian remained the most active one, followed by Turkish, German and Portuguese and pretty much the same boards occupy the lower activity part of the chart. It is good to see that 2/3 (Nigerian and Pakistan) communities without local board are showing strong numbers month after month and are consistently in the top half.

@Cyrus, maybe its time to consider giving these guys their own local boards? Or at least give to one of them and see how it goes.

Number of active members per local board during October 2022

After last month's decrease, this time number of active members went down significantly: from 1185 in September to 1101 in October. So far I don't remember having such big decrease on the monthly basis (percentage wise) but since I count all those who wrote at least 1 post during month period, I guess that should be kinda expected.

Merit shared per local board during October 2022

Slight increase in post activity unfortunately wasn't followed by the merit shared increase as during 10/2022 5030 merits were shared which is almost 10% decrease from September's numbers (5487).That decrease is relatively evenly shared among majority of boards with no drastic decrease except French board that had 40$ decrease  while few other boards had noticeable decrease like German (- 28 %) and Portuguese (-27 %).

When it comes to the biggest gainers, two boards stands out: Arabic board with 145% and Croatian with 96 % increase (the latter one is more about the poor September results).

Merit senders and receivers per local board during October 2022

Nothing much to say about this chart really other than reminder that local boards are ordered by the amount of merits shared. What is noticeable though is that number of senders and receivers are down, which is understandable given the ~10% decrease of the amount shared.

Merit/Post ratio per local board for October 2022

And the last in this series of charts, merit/post one. As you can see, once again Arabic board really stands out with its 3.02 merits per post shared and Romanian is not far behind as well. Other boards didn't really have significant changes compares to previous month (at least none that I noticed) while some local boards like remained seriously undermerited month after month.

0.03 merits per post shared in Philippines board during last month (12 month ratio is not much better either which shows that it is ongoing problem) is on par with some of the least quality parts of this forum, like altcoin or off-topic sections. Imho, they need another merit source urgently, or at least help from other merit sources until they get their own because they are still among the more active local boards.

The most active members per local board during October 2022

Now that we saw the overall situation in local boards, its time to mentioned the people that are keeping their local boards alive. Once again joker_josue from Portuguese board  with 244 posts remains the most active one among all other members active in local boards followed by two members of Russian board, Ratimov and Snork1979 that both written 171 posts in their local board while DdmrDdmr from Spanish board was not far behind them with 170 posts.

While your post activity is still pretty good, when it comes to merit I see that you had one of the worst months yet, with only 12 shared during October which is a huge drop from already low September's 53 merits. As a matter of fact, only two times you had the worse results: back in November 2018 (14 merits) and December 2018 (4 merits).

Have you started conversation in your local board about more members applying for a merit source? I am asking because your merit/post ratio is one of the lowest on the forum, even lower than places like altcoin or off-topic boards which we know are not an epitome of quality discussions.

It started as I was an avid user of the @ddmrddmr merit dashboard, and wanted to share my findings with other. Then it slowly grew on a way of trying to create a “story” for our board, trying to motivate also the other users.
I had mixed results on this, but it was well worth trying.

If I were you I wouldn't change the approach as your overview really stand out from others, and especially if you enjoy making it like that. Tbh I started making these overviews primarily for myself as I was curious how my local board performs and compares to others, and I guess its something similar in your case as well.

Yes, this is basically the same idea of this thread by @Rikafip.
Of course, as I am focusing on a single board, can go much deeper in the a analysis.

Personally, I thought it was an excellent job. 
A short description of the numbers helps to frame the situation and to have a more detailed general idea.

I assure you it’s not simple to write, but this month I had the feedback it’s not even easy to read!
I might shorten it next time.
Even if it’s a gargantuan task, I like to discuss those numbers and telling a story about them!

Congratulations on this report on the Italian board. This is not a simple report, it is a very complete and detailed analysis of what "pass for Italy".

only a few hours before the end of the month, I was finally able to publish my analysis on the Italian board.

The same is the case with me, I have never been less active on the forum and I have the most posts on our local part of the forum.
Yes, it happened for the second time, but I hope for the return of the king and that it will not happen again 
As for this troll, Snowshit, at first I found the discussion funny and interesting, but now that he started insulting us all and calling us a crypto sect, the discussion with him has become pointless to me. Unfortunately, I don't see a way to eliminate him from the forum, and even if we did, he would come back with a different username.
The only good news is that the king is back, but the long-term downward trend in activity is unlikely to change.

Hah yeah, I've never been less active in our local board like it was during September. Just one of those periods when I didn't have anything to add to ongoing discussions but i think this month numbers will be better.


Grats! If I am not mistaken, that's the 2nd time this year that you managed to achieve that and probably not the last given the absence of our beloved spammovic. 


To be honest, I would rather see him getting banned for ban evading than being active in our local board, even if that means less number of posts written because he is getting exactly what he wants,and that is attention.

I don't really feel like I've been particularly active or written much, but apparently neither have the other members.
It is obvious that we also follow the trend of the entire forum, a slow decline in activity.
Fortunately, a new troll, Snowshit, appeared, so we revived a little

That's true. Users like BitGoba or Lunorael have made a positive impact. They are newbies in the forum sense, but not when it comes to their knowledge of crypto and Bitcoin apparently.   
And also that psychopath Snowshit is back with the usual bitcoin doesn't exist, it's all in your head, there is no value exchange type of nonsense.

Here comes the junky fix for some members
I will focus more on positive sides of this report, with Nigerian board getting  active members almost as Italians, so they really deserve to have separate local board, like I said before.
Rikafip I have to criticize you for not being in top ten members of our local board, shame on you, why are you avoiding us?

Maybe we lost slackovic for now (he'll be back), but we gained few new members who could follow his past glory soon.

Just to think about it, slackovic isn't even in the top 10 anymore. I hope he spends some quality time away from the forum.
Well, the king is dead, it's time for a new king! 

Yep, numbers went down dramatically as just a year ago with that amount of posts you would end up somewhere around 10th spot and now you were 2nd. I too blame slackovic for that, even though I reached my all time low last month (well at least when it comes to posts in local board).



So this was the perfect opportunity for someone to take the first spot. Imagine how others are slacking when you are first despite being on vacation and doing less posts than usual. 

Month of vacation, there was no more. Even so, I'm surprised to be able to keep first in this ranking.

I don't think I have ever been this high on the leaderboard when it comes to the number of posts as last month. Silver medal for me. But the number of posts I wrote isn't that different compared to previous months. But the trend is clear. We are generally writing less, all of us. Damn it slackovic, wake up.

Post activity per local board during September 2022

During above mentioned period 13857 posts were written across local boards which is a decrease compared to August and 14838 posts. Yet again this decrease doesn't seem big, but it adds up over time so there's a big difference in activity compared to let's say a year ago.

When it comes to the most active local board, nothing changed much compared to the last overview: Russian board is still far ahead the others, followed by Turkish and German board and pretty much the same thing is at the bottom. Communities without local board performed good yet again (Nigerian and Pakistan while  Bangladesh activity is kinda decreasing) and given the general decrease of forum activity I think that forum staff should seriously consider adding at least one more local board, if not two.

Despite the post activity decrease, number of active members went up a little bit: from 1174 during August to 1185 in September. Increase is very small and all those that wrote at least one post in mentioned period are counted , but it sure is better than decrease. After listening to feedback here on the topic I gave up on the idea to mess with that chart so I won't change any requirement and will leave it as it is.

Merit shared per local board during September 2022

When compared to August, September was very similar in regard to amount of merit shared (5501 in August - 5487 in September) so that's a good news. Yet again Russian board is ahead the others (they had solid decrease compared to August), followed by German,Turkish and Italian, which all had a slight increase in the amount of merit shared.

Among more active boards Pilipinas still remains severely undermerited so it looks like their merit sources are still not active.

Standard chart that follows the amount or merit shared. In majorify of cases more merit=more senders and receivers, but there are few local boards that stick out in that regard, like Indonesian and Pilipinas that have a lot of members being part of the merit system, relative to the amount of merit shared.

Merit/Post ratio per local board for September 2022

Considering the relatively similar decrease of post and merit compared to the August, this chart didn't change much; Arabic board is yet again ahead of the others with a pretty high 1.83 merits shared per board, followed by Romanian and Italian, with the standard names at the bottom. Beside couple of local boards, I think that majority can be satisfied with the ratio meaning it shouldn't be a problem for members who are mainly active in their local board to rank up, which was a pretty common thing year ago (well, at least in my local board).

Last but not the least, list of top 10 members of each local board mentioned in the overview. Despite not being as active as before, with 205 posts @joker_josue managed to remain the most active member acorss all local boards ( counting only posts written in local boards of course), followed by DdmrDdmr (195) and mole0815 (173).
