I think that if we play against AI will not be easy since the AI will have their solution to beat us unless the developer makes an easy option for us to beat the AI Grin
If many people like to play chess, I think some developer will create the p2p game, and they will insert a gambling option to people so that they can play gambling on the chess game.
We don't know when that will come to us because until now, and people like to play the popular gambling games, so that makes the new people in gambling will choose that popular gambling games too.
The chances of a p2p platform that allows you to play chess and also to bet on it appearing are very low, and this is because unlike the games of chance like poker computers are on average better than the humans which means that a player could easily cheat by using computers and beat most of their opponents that way, the developers of such platforms could try to prevent this and investigate anyone that seems to be cheating but very soon honest players will leave the platform and the project will fail because of it.
Yes, it is. People who like to play chess or gamble in chess games are not too many, and they like to play other popular games such as dice, poker, or even sports betting.
But it's not easy to investigate anyone that seems to be cheating the platforms unless they have applied some security that the player doesn't know.
Quite honestly the level of security that they will have to implement to forbid people from cheating will reach levels that we would call spyware, they will have to spy in everything that you are doing in your computer in order for you to avoid using a piece of software to aid you while you are playing chess, and I'm not so sure that anyone is ready to install such an application in their computers, and even so people could cheat by just using a different computer and run a chess software in it and beat most of their competition, as such I do not really believe that a peer to peer gambling platform based on chess is possible.

I'm not thinking only few people will defeat the highest level. There are always those people who are good at playing chess and won't talk a lot in forums.
To me, the important part is you enjoy the game and if you want to improve the way you play chess just keep going. Those hard levels will eventually be easy to you if you grind on it.

Also, the chances of lower rated players to beat higher rated players in blitz tournaments is much higher. Having only 3-5 minutes to play a game increase the variance in chess tournaments and the fun factor of watching chess games is also much higher. The real skill of grand master is to think many moves in advance but during blitz tournaments that skill is fairly limited making it more fair for international masters and others.
I can't think of how I'll perform if the time limit is going to be like that. I'm not a pro and I don't think I'm in the middle or intermediate but we're not going far like beating a grandmaster.
This can be done through having fun or if a grandmaster sees opportunity on this. Well, he/she is going to stay for better and beat the players like me.

I have played many times with AI and the highest level of difficulty is always hard to beat. The low levels can easily be beaten but there will be some conditions if someone creates a platform like this and it will be difficult if there's money involved.
No wonder if only a few people who can win the games.
I realize that the highest level and the difficulty will increase apart the games, so that need more skills to win. Usually, we don't need to long to raise the next level, but until we reach the medium level, the hard part will come Wink

For chess to become a prominent game among gamblers there must be a element added to chess such that the viewers have fun watching the game and not just bored spectators.

Non-sense idea. How come chess should add an element just to entertain the viewers and gamblers? The game system of chess is already known to all - playing in a silent environment. And to those who know chess, they enjoy that environment compare to what Esports have. And besides chess don't have regular events and that's the reason why only a few betting options available.

Totally different in the environment of the Esports industry.
I think adding more fun element means that adding more features like betting on the next move or something would bring the fun to the next level, while also offering odds on a draw. Not a complete non-sense idea if you ask me because the reason chess is played in isolation makes it a little bit boring indeed and you are right though that what can we do to make it interesting but that is what gambling platforms need to come up with and if me and you had that intelligence we would be having our own casino, no?

But yeah e-sports is a different scenario and much more fun while chess still needs more viewership and then maybe we can consider it being added for betting.
If that so, many gamblers will win in that way since it's easy to determine the moves if you're using some chess engine like stockfish which is one of the greatest engines that's being used by Grand Master for training. I guess blitz game is the right game mode of chess on sports betting, no one can use engines and it's a fast phased game which is very interesting to watch.

Chess already gained a lot of audiences right now and making its comeback on the sports scene. Every live battle is being discussed and always reaching thousands of views. There are many platforms talk about chess right now, I'm saying this because I played a lot of games, following a lot of pro-players and streamers, and noticed that chess is on the mainstream again. Those who are saying that chess doesn't have much viewership aren't aware of other streaming platforms, they just watch on YT or on TV.
Watching on live stream of chess plays is already a lot fun. I think there is no need to do some adding up elementa just to get into the next level. A mind games or sports does not make fun on the materials or platform they had played on but instead the fun is on how one can outsmart the other player using strategic moves letting the opponent getting caught by surprise. In short, chess is not about feature rather it is all about strategy and surprises.

Right. There's no need for you to do research things and stuff if you are just looking to have fun or do the YOLO strategy. Everybody wants to have chess games to be on bookies soon. And hopefully some platforms will create a p2p type of game with bets against real players or can have an option to play against AI but with certain levels to check difficulty. I think that's going to be a good pastime and hobby whenever it goes crypto.

Chess is known worldwide and there are many genius love to play chess. I do love to play chess and definitely love to watch others play it. Watching over geniuses play relatively is a strategy for me to improve the plays. Learning on their advancement moves or studying the advantage and disadvantage of moves.

However, pretty sure that players having with lot of viewers are really strong. Game could end fast depending on the wrong move and its check mate.

Those marketing things can be done easily if the platform has budget for it. As long as there are gamblers and players who have asked for it, the opening will be on hype and there will be a lot of players who will try it whether it be forum members or not.
It's a popular game and applying cryptocurrency as a bet or incentive to the playing winner will be a great thing to consider. Let's just wish that there are platforms who read on this thread.

Many people who loves playing this strategy game will play both for fun or with intentions to earn money, if platforms will be there
expect that gamblers to play it, the set up will be up to the developers who will cater this game.
Marketing is not a problem since this strategy game is very popular there are people who will come
and start playing.
For those who are good, they can make it an earning habit. They can use their talents and skills in playing chess and at the same time earn from the possible winning rounds that they'll get. Also, they can face the toughest and best of chess players worldwide.

Right. There's no need for you to do research things and stuff if you are just looking to have fun or do the YOLO strategy. Everybody wants to have chess games to be on bookies soon. The term boring should be out of when it comes to playing or betting in chess.

Take it or leave it. If the gamblers found it boring to bet on chess, then so be it. The chess enthusiast is the only one who can understand how interesting it is to placed bet on chess.

Adding a betting option can be considered but not to the point it should have the same interest factor as for other sports.

Those you have mentioned are the essentials of being a bettor. As for choosing the player to bet with in a professional chess tournament, it is uncommon for you to bet without doing your research.
But if I am a reckless and bettor and just do YOLO most of the time, those things aren't needed and that is an IF. And talking as if there are multiple chess tournaments and bookies that allows to bet with cryptos, I find it irrelevant. Hopefully, there will be more casinos accepting cryptos will have chess soon.
If one person only searches for a fun thing in the chess tournament and doesn't mean trying to win, he doesn't have to research or search for more information about the player.
He can choose a random player without thinking if that player has the potential to win or not because his purposes are not to win the prize, but he only wants to search for the fun and enjoy his bet.
Maybe someday the chess games will accept crypto as the bets, so people who already use crypto can also place their bets.
If one chess website can do that, the other chess gambling website will try to do the same, and that can make the crypto gambling games grow.

Yes it will be possible on promoting chess using the p2p type of game. It will just need a certain advertisement and it can be done using social media. Still it needs the approval and subject for regulations.

But if it must be push through then lucky we can use the forum for the publicity of the chess game. It may be that much but the target users here were good since most of the users here do already know how to use crypto as an exchange. Hope to see chess will be part of p2p gambling platform.

It's interest that plays the role in terms of this mind games, not everyone are capable of taking time to work enhancing their skills
as this game required good mental activeness, the game is all about anticipating the next
movements that your opponents will take and how will you counter everything.

Skills and your dedications to keeps on improving every strategy that you've learned, it will give you
higher chance of mastering the game.

This means that playing chess and become good at it takes too much time. With chess players showing their ratings while playing, its already a good measure of how good a chess player was. Basically in sports betting, the odds of a higher-rated player to win is high. But this doesn't not mean a lower rated player could not win.

If we will about to have a chess in sports betting, there should be strict rules that same rated players should compete to make every match more exciting.

I don't think you are really up to date about this as there are some sites who offer betting on chess. In the tournaments, where you can bet on, all players have roughly the same level (amount of ELO).
However, when Carlsen is participating, he always has the highest chance (lowest odd) to win as he is the best  Grin.

If the bettors don't have the skills, whether it's a skill to play chess or to choose the player to bet, they will not win the money Grin
Let's relate to the strategy itself.
When someone wants to bet on one sport, say it about chess. He should have knowledge about chess, the player, how to play chess, how big the chance of the player itself, and all come from the history from each chess player.
If he doesn't have one thing from all of the information, he will not get a chance to win.
Let say he doesn't know about the player, how he can choose the right player that can win the games.
Let's say he doesn't know how to play chess and analyze each player's from the games in the past.
Knowing about chess itself, he will know that one player can have a good strategy to defend his step or to win the games.
That is from my side Grin
Maybe that will not be the same from the others.
Those you have mentioned are the essentials of being a bettor. As for choosing the player to bet with in a professional chess tournament, it is uncommon for you to bet without doing your research.
