It's interest that plays the role in terms of this mind games, not everyone are capable of taking time to work enhancing their skills
as this game required good mental activeness, the game is all about anticipating the next
movements that your opponents will take and how will you counter everything.

Skills and your dedications to keeps on improving every strategy that you've learned, it will give you
higher chance of mastering the game.

This means that playing chess and become good at it takes too much time. With chess players showing their ratings while playing, its already a good measure of how good a chess player was. Basically in sports betting, the odds of a higher-rated player to win is high. But this doesn't not mean a lower rated player could not win.

If we will about to have a chess in sports betting, there should be strict rules that same rated players should compete to make every match more exciting.

Based on the comments I have read here and your own recommendations, I would like to say that the number of users who prefer chess betting while gambling is almost nonexistent. Although this rate is very low, I still think there will be gamblers who want to use the services you mentioned. For this reason, I think your recommendations and content are useful. Nevertheless, if there is someone who is curious and knows, it will be a question I want to ask. What kind of betting options are there when playing chess betting, other than just choosing the winner?

I am not sure that culture has to do anything here. Since it is indoor and can be easily afford so it could be only the matter of interest and the skillset that is required to master the chess which not everyone is competent about it. Something like baseball, basketball etc you require the courts or ground to learn and master the game which may quite restrict people if it is not, they’re at their area or not much being played in their country.

Well at some point, even the top ratings with 2800 are being defeated by 2700 ratings.
There are recent tournaments that GM Magnus Carlsen wasn't on the finals. Same with other online games, there are teams that you knew are undefeatable but being defeated by a rising team, those scenarios can always happen.

Yep, this is more like exceptions, nor like a rule. Also, another problem of chess championship frequency (as i said above) - they're not so often as it would be needed for active betting.

This is because there are a lot less random factors when it comes to chess, in other sports it can become difficult to know which person or team is going to win due a significant number of factors that affect the competition, but when it comes to chess those factors are reduced to the minimum, which is why chess is considered a symbol of logic as it encourages sequential thinking and problem resolution within a set of parameters, this makes the number of upsets lower than in other sports and games and makes it less exciting as a result.

If the bettors don't have the skills, whether it's a skill to play chess or to choose the player to bet, they will not win the money Grin
Let's relate to the strategy itself.
When someone wants to bet on one sport, say it about chess. He should have knowledge about chess, the player, how to play chess, how big the chance of the player itself, and all come from the history from each chess player.
If he doesn't have one thing from all of the information, he will not get a chance to win.
Let say he doesn't know about the player, how he can choose the right player that can win the games.
Let's say he doesn't know how to play chess and analyze each player's from the games in the past.
Knowing about chess itself, he will know that one player can have a good strategy to defend his step or to win the games.
That is from my side Grin
Maybe that will not be the same from the others.
Those you have mentioned are the essentials of being a bettor. As for choosing the player to bet with in a professional chess tournament, it is uncommon for you to bet without doing your research.
But if I am a reckless and bettor and just do YOLO most of the time, those things aren't needed and that is an IF. And talking as if there are multiple chess tournaments and bookies that allows to bet with cryptos, I find it irrelevant. Hopefully, there will be more casinos accepting cryptos will have chess soon.

They are talking as bettors and not a Player itself.

So your comment is not in effect because Bettors mostly no idea about the skills of players here(not unless we are talking about those Chess fanatic that following each players in their career.

But here in sportsbet?some bettors only rely on which the in advantage from bettors.

I love chess games, in fact, I downloaded it on my phone to give some room playing online while in quarantine.
For there will be a place where we can include this in online/sports betting it might get interesting for oldies to participate as well or those chess lovers will get into it.
I know how to play chess but I'm not a huge fan. My father is the one who's really into it. And like you, he also asked us to download a chess game on his phone. Every night, he'd play it.

If it'll be on sports betting, I think it'll be also patronized by those who like the game (in our country, it'll be the oldies most likely and those huge fans). However, if compared to other sports like basketball or football, or boxing, it's not that big.

I guess the matured minds or the elderly tend to prefer the board games like chess. I had a grandfather who just passed away that occasionally visit a particular place to play the game (probably chess or draft) with his friends. They just like it and even bet on them.

Playing chess needs big patience, and not all people or gamblers can do.
Besides that, we need to have a strategy to combine or manage the step of every round.
Yes, not many younger people want to play chess and them better to play another game from their mobile phones.
I think the reason is the chess game needs a long time to play and they don't have the patience to finish the games.
Well, most of the gamblers nowadays bet on the side where there are many bets. So i don't think stretegy always matter on betting who'll gonna win the game.
No, if you play chess games, you will need to learn more to know the strategy because each piece will collaborate with the other to make the right moves.
If you can arrange the strategy and lock your opponent moves, your chance to win will be bigger.
I have seen a few people who can win in less than 10-20 moves with their strategy, and that will need skills to make that strategy.
Maybe that is why not many people who want to learn chess strategy, and they playing chess to kill their time.
But some people like to play chess with some money.
They are talking as bettors and not a Player itself.

same here, all of them are elders too, Is it just coincidence or its just that the game are more popular with them because they grew up playing board games and kids these days grew up with mobile phones and computers. Well, watching them makes me feel bored, but I know they are thinking and analyzing so hard, they need to focus, and the downside of that is its not interesting to watch for me who didn't know how to play it. I think people who knew the game will only be the one interested in watching it, or bet in it.

  • The Chessable Masters
There are plenty of chess tournaments that happened in just 3 months. Meanwhile, in eSports betting, it takes a few months for another betting.

The passionate people for chess would be limited as compared to other sports like football, cricket, basketball etc . So betting would be limited on chess then compared to other sports for sure . Also not many can understand the chess game to beacuse it is complex as well .
chess is one strategic mind games. If you only knew few of your friends playing chess then probably it is because of our culture. Other countries has a lot of chess players while others may have few. But chess is known world wide.

However, there are also mind games that similar to chess and easier to play compared to chess. In our place it is very known as DAMA. Similar to chess has pawn but no designated officials. All are pawns and you just need to attack, advance and put your pawns in defensive way. Positioning would be at great advantage however there are also traps that your opponent prepared that you might surprise when you do a wrong move.

Hopefully mind games not only chess but others also similar to chess will get recognize. I will give more time of myself to play with strong opponents.
This thread talks about Chess on sprortsbetting so i think DAMA will not be entertained here since this is a local game and not so many have knowledge about this.
Who does not know the game Chess, but unfortunately most people think Chess is not a sport. Therefore it is still very rare
sports betting platforms that include Chess. If you see the Chess tournament viewers the amount is not small, so I am
a supporter of Chess hope Chess can soon be on all sports betting platforms.

For chess to become a prominent game among gamblers there must be a element added to chess such that the viewers have fun watching the game and not just bored spectators.

Non-sense idea. How come chess should add an element just to entertain the viewers and gamblers? The game system of chess is already known to all - playing in a silent environment. And to those who know chess, they enjoy that environment compare to what Esports have. And besides chess don't have regular events and that's the reason why only a few betting options available.

Totally different in the environment of the Esports industry.

The problem with gambling sites introducing chess as an esports is because while chess is a highly knowledge game based and is fun to play but the only is that "only people who play chess enjoys it!". Which means that people watching will never be as big as it is for games like League of Legends or Counter strike and dota2.

For chess to become a prominent game among gamblers there must be a element added to chess such that the viewers have fun watching the game and not just bored spectators. I mean either add some fun element like viewers can interact or something or maybe make it team based so there is more fun somehow.

Or maybe I consider myself for this and maybe this could also help to promote this game as most of the new generation had giving no/less interest in learning rather than those ROS and many other online games.
The problem with chess and any intelligence based games is that they can be manipulated very easily, I mean look two players are playing online and they do not know each other either. This is where a massive cheating can happen because people can always use scripts that automate moves based on your opponent moves or just use computer moves to beat you.

I have been playing chess since a long time and the problem that exists with chess and similar games is that unless the person is sitting right in front of you, then it is just completely impossible to know if they are cheating. And when money is involved then more people will cheat because I often get cheaters in free games so imagine if they are getting paid to win Angry.
