Is this about installing the new wallet,in my case I just download and run it and delete the old you do not have to import wallet.dat in fact you do not have to anything but to download and run the new wallet..

Not quite sure where you got those numbers from. You can check the btc donations to see current btc participation. I wouldn't assume 1000 btc participation, or 100 btc... it's a touch lower than that.
