They sure aren't Christian according to the Bible if they support and commit real violence.

The bible promotes violence, doesn't it?

After all it lets you beat a slave within inches of death, as long as you don't kill him right away.

Cool

That's Old Testament. That was for ancient Israel, which isn't around today. As I said, above, the word "Christian" isn't found in the OT.

The New Testament, which is the pattern and directive for Christians, has no violence listed in it... at least not as a directive for Christians to do. In fact, it has just the opposite commanded... peace.

Do you call them Christian because they call themselves Christian? Or because the government calls them Christian? Or because the media calls them Christian? Or because some friends call them Christian? Why?

Why do we call the ISIS as an Islamist organization? It is because they call themselves Muslim, attacks non-Muslims and force the non-Muslims to convert to Islam. The same case here. Organizations such as the NLFT and the NSCN kill Hindus because they don't want to convert to Christianity. And most of their funds come from Baptist churches in the Southern United States.

Since ISIS seems to call themselves Muslim, and since they fit Islam better than most Muslims regarding their zeal and violence (http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm), they seem to be the best of Muslims. Maybe the NLFT and the NSCN, and the Baptists who support, them are really Islamic as well. They sure aren't Christian according to the Bible if they support and commit real violence.

Or, maybe you are mistaken about their violence, and it is a bunch of liars telling you they are violent.

No offense meant. Just trying to look at all the angles.

Sometimes it is better to see yourself outside from religion but with the great faith with God than be in it but curse  by the world whom you as a religious one stands already as a judge against the world because  of your belief in a certain religion.

The Koran and the Hadiths are the backbone of Islam. These writings tell Muslims to be violent against people of other religions who will not convert, and against Muslims who don't practice their religion strongly enough - http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm.

The Bible is the backbone of Christianity. The Bible tells nobody to be violent against people of other religions. The Bible DOES allow for self defense. Old Testament writings were for Old Testament Israel. They are not for Christians to follow as directives today. The word "Christian" is not mentioned once in the Old Testament.

So-called Christians who are aggressively violent against people of other religions are going against the Bible. When they go against the Bible, are they really Christian? If they are, they are extremely weak Christians.

Muslims who do not become violent against people who do not convert to Islam, and against Muslims who do not uphold their religion, are going against their religious writings. This makes ISIS one of the most correct Islamic groups around.

Cool

Have you just proved how wrong Islam really is? Unbelievable - in one simple sentence. That's how you do it!

Well, thank you. But which sentence proved it to you?    Cool

Yes, you're welcome.

I believe that the key here is respect.  The thing is we just need to focus on our own and let every individual choose what they desire.

That's the issue I have with Badecker, and the reason I respond.  He keeps trying to force his fairy tale on others.  :/

I believe that the key here is respect. We must all respect on what each other believes in to avoid the disruption of peace. The problem with other people or religion is that they impose what they believe in to other people and forcing them. The thing is we just need to focus on our own and let every individual choose what they desire.

In Hell, if you even see one of your friends, you won't communicate with them, because the both of you will be in such torment, that you won't have time or desire to communicate.

That's why christianity is poison to so many people.

Your hoax god creates people he knows he will have to torture for all eternity.

Your hoax god is a sadist.

Okay, you are an atheist, so what? It's your choice. What's your business in other people's religion? Everyone believes in a thing which makes them feel stronger and safe. If it is science for you - okay, what's the deal? Why so much hatred?

Other people's religion doesn't matter, as long as they are not bothering anyone. Take my case. Since I am a Hindu, my Christian friends have told me that I will go to hell. The only way to "save" my soul is to convert to Christianity. I told them that hell suits me better, since most of my friends are also Hindus.  Grin

I’m not religious, but people like the OP and yourself need to put things in perspective. Your Christian “friends” tell you that you’re going to hell for not believing in Christianity while Muslims periodically slaughter Hindus for not  practicing Islam. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_India

I never said that I like Muslims. They are a very violent bunch, at least in India. But among the Christians also we have a lot of similar types. Especially in the north-eastern India, we have Christian terror outfits such as the NDFB, NSCN, and the NLFT. They have slaughtered Hindus for decades, for their refusal to convert to Christianity at gunpoint.

Why do you call groups like you have described Christian - Especially in the north-eastern India, we have Christian terror outfits such as the NDFB, NSCN, and the NLFT. They have slaughtered Hindus for decades, for their refusal to convert to Christianity at gunpoint. If they do those things, they are not Christian. The only way they might be Christian is if they do those things 100% in self defense.

Do you call them Christian because they call themselves Christian? Or because the government calls them Christian? Or because the media calls them Christian? Or because some friends call them Christian? Why?

If they do the things you say for any reason other than self defense, which includes defense of family, they are not Christian. Somebody is lying to you about them being Christian, or about their vicious behavior.

I do not think that a moderate belief in Christianity can be a poison, but if you abuse this religion and torture it with the help of it to manipulate other people, then it is already bad.
Yes. Everything has to be in moderation and everything in excess is not good. Even the atheists if they tend to be exaggerating, they are becoming harmful also to their fellow. May not be physically but the way they treat others who believe in god and has religion is not good.
