I don't use it but why not just update to the fastest already.

Getting harder to believe the algo/method can be tweaked multiple times with improvements.. Starting to be like intentionally weakened releases.

On my cards I noticed After Burner reports whatever I set it to, but if you fire up GPU-Z it shows memory is at default speed.
I found best compromise was 1200 on memory on 280x to not hurt performance, Engine at whatever you want. Mine are stable at 1140, but I've ran at 1160.

Don't know if -t 8 is needed anymore, I'm just running -ss 2 on slower CPUs

Actually, if you're stable at 1175, and you confirm in GPU-Z that memory is stock clock, try 1200 for memory, it'll be lower than stock and you'll save some power/heat.

At what speed do you run your cards (especially 280x)?

280X 1175/750 -ss 2 -t 8

hello, can I ask how did you do that?
I can set gpu engine to 1100mhz and memclock to 950mhz
or 1000/850, so maximum what i can do is 150mhz difference between engine/memclock,
when I try e.g. 1100/800, memclock will set to default.
you've got difference 425mhz
what kind of tuning SW, are you using, did you flash a bios or something, to allow this difference?

I use MSIAfterburner300Beta19, it is very large intervals settings.

You can do it with msi afterburner or similar.

v7.0 is available:

- Improved speed by 5-15% (depends on card type). Up to 4.2 CPD on 290X.
- Reduced number of invalid shares.
- Faster estimation of CPD value.
- Improved stability for high "-hc" values, 1024 by default for 290/290X.

Next version will be a major update with much better mining speed.

only now ? (sorry getting tired of the xpm mafia...  Grin)
not mentioning the fact that the coin rate is going down...

Great! Now its faster than Claymore miner and perhaps ypool loses some customers. fingers crossed.

I have a 30% energy savings going from Scrypt to XPM on every single rig i have running.

I can do 5 290s at full speed on a single 1500w supply now.

It's awesome  Grin

ITS AWESOME! and its even more awsome because the temps are much lower! summer started here in israel and on scrypt with fans my rigs went up to 90c. with xpm is below 80c!

hello

what im doing wrong?

1 rig

2x280x Asus C2T - 3.2 CPD after 14h of run  ( average)
1x280x vapor-x   - 0.0 CPD after 14h of run ( avarage)
CPU G3320

2 rig

2x208x Vapor-x 0.0 CPD after 11h of run ( avarage)
CPU G860

setting in .bat file

color 02
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsXpmMiner.exe -o ypool.net -u random -p superhardpass -di 2 -hc 256

why have all Vapor-x 0.0 CPD avarage ( estimated is 1,86) and card found some share.

thanks

I have noticed that the Average CPD figure doesn't show up unless you hit 10chs.  Either way, i ignore the Estimated / Average CPD.

Your most important indicator of relative card performance is the 4ch figure.  It does not directly indicate profitability, but it does indicate if your card is running at "max RPM" if you will.

Also, you should also be running with -ss 2 (lowest CPU load) as you are not running with quads and you do have multiple cards.  It is always best to keep CPU load under 75% with this miner.

both CPU is load under 62%
i'm gonna change all Vapor-x card
and my power consumption is less opposite mine all others coins
from 900W on 580W on same rig

CPD is "Chains Per Day", for Diff 10.xxx only chains 10 and higher are valid for CPD calculation.
Average CPD is calculated as "number of 10+ chains found per hour" * 24. So if you found 0 10chains average CPD is 0. If you find 1 10chain in first hour of mining Average CPD will be 24 and will decrease smoothly, in an hour it will be 12 and so on, it will decrease until you find another 10chain.
To get correct Average CPD value you need to mine at least for several days, therefore you can use "Estimated CPD" value that is calculated from lower chains. When you mine for many days Estimated and Average CPD will be similar, ideally they will be the same. But, in fact, you will see different values since you need to find a lot of 10 chains to see correct statistics, it takes a lot of time.
To quickly check miner performace you can use 4ch/h value.
