7990 (2x7970) and 280x at same mem/gpuclock have the same performance with v7 version, but different performance (7990 12% slower) in version v8.

This is right? Is possible to apply same optimizations on both?
Thank you Claymore, very good job with v8 miner.

hi Claymore
I run  with v .7 is ok with V.8 with bat file and error:
NsXpmMiner.exe has stopped working
help how to fix it?
 run 2x 280x driver 13:12

Check troubleshooting section in readme, helps in 95% cases.

Hello Claymore. Thanks for the speedup. I have one question. Do you planning to add temp target setting in your miner with auto fan option? i have one card on my rig which is a little bit crazy. around 15 C is hotter than others. with msi afterburner i can adjust fan control but for all cards and separately not. All my fans is at 80% cause of that one crazy card. Thanks

Yes. Also I plan multigpu support.

Yeah allot of rejected. ypool  Huh Huh

Many Orphaned to ...

Primecoin network generates new blocks too quickly now, 2-3 blocks per minute instead of 1. In a few days it will work more stable.

Claymore, which XPT version do you use? I try to bulid my own trail pool which using
XPT protocol, now it can successfully be connected with traditional jh miner, but when I
try to use you miner, it seems your miner using a different version of XPT, which I can't
understand.

v8.0 is available.

- Improved speed by about 50-60%. Up to 7 CPD on 290X.
- Improved chain targeting: more 8-10 chains and less 4-6 chains.
- Added "-ss 3" option for very slow CPU.
- Removed "-hc" option.
- Removed "-ss 0" option, works as "-ss 1" now.

Claymore understood that he could protect his binary but not the comm. Likely he worked something out with ypool to protect the traffic.

Claymore, is there something to be hidden in the Data.bin in v8 of your miner? Your v7 and below has always been using k.dat, which is the compiled OpenCL binary. OpenCL binary is an ELF format file (you can see ELF in the strings if you try to open it). v7 and below, your OpenCL binary is not encrypted but in v8, it seems to be. Was it because you are using madmax - eXtremal's code?

If you are, that's fine so long as you give credits to these great ppl. It is unethical if you are using theirs and taking dev fee for yourself not giving credit.

I had a lot of miner versions before opensource miners and speed of my miner always was comparable with best miners. v9 will have more speed than v8. v10 will be faster than v9. And you always can say that I steal some ideas from somebody, I won't be able to prove anything since my miner is not opensource and I'm not going to do it. But also somebody (who knows a lot about ELF files for example) can steal my ideas so I decided to protect both EXE and OpenCL code. I'm not going to discuss it anymore.
I do give credits to all opensource miners - we have a lot of miners now and you can select the best miner for you.

If you won't release the source why is it safe to use? why won't you release it? another ypool coin hoard by the looks of it

It is only fair to release the code ( i know ypool devs do not release code because of greed ) but do the community a favor

Sure, since we can't prove anything and no point spending effort proving shady business, you can say whatever you want. Work will have to continue with open source miners and I agree with what you said, people just have to compare ROI with various miners and use the better one.
