What cards do you have? how many memory on the cards?
How much virtual memory do you have?
try use -dmem 0

Thanks, it worked. But now I get errors for all 6 GPU's reporting GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4.

Any suggestions?

Claymore the bullshit master. Says three week ago, coming the next version in a few days. Of course, coming, oh yeah, coming...and coming...and coming, of course coming....

I love the miner its better than any miner for monero for r9 270x cards. I've tried every setting possible for weeks to get xmr-stak to run good for me and it won't ever get more than 360 h/s but claymore will push 420 h/s sometimes higher. Not to mention xmr-stak lags my computer out so bad that I can't even use its completely unusable. I have to stop the miner in order to even type this message otherwise it would take me about 30 seconds to even try to fill this message out. I've been trying settings for weeks and nothing gets better than 360 and nothing stops the lag. Claymore runs so smooth its crazy I can do anything I want without any lag at all and running 400+ h/s. Even if he takes two more months to do an updates its worth it.

Having some issues with this miner. I was using awesome miner which uses the 10.x version and I was getting a ton of share errors. I adjusted the -h many different ways and nothing was working so I started researching. I ran across a couple threads on other sites saying to use t he 9.7 version because it doesn't do very well on the r9 270x models. So I downloaded it and noticed it required 15.12 drivers so I downloaded those removed all the old driver files and installed the new one. I started using the miner and used it a couple days then stopped because I was mining other things. I tried to go back to using this miner again today and now every time I open it crashes. Maybe someone here can point me in a direction how to get this miner working again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I've wanted to mention also that I've tried sfc/scannow to check windows files making sure they are okay. I've also turned off my Microsoft Security Essentials making sure it wasn't causing the exception. Still no luck. The crazy thing is just a couple days ago this miner was running smooth as hell with no issues at all for several days. As far as I know I haven't changed anything on this desktop in several weeks. Same overclock and all that.

As far as your problem. Have you tried to redownload the miner?  That might help. Maybe a file was deleted as virus

Yes I've tried that several times. Thing is claymore doesn't come up as a false positive on microsoft essentials or chrome. Normally if I download a miner and chrome warns me I turn off my antivirus till I get it in my executions folder. That's what has me beat. It was working just days ago and now it isn't and I haven't changed much if anything on this pc.

Hi,

I seem to be getting the following error popping up about 4 to 5 times whenever claymore starts:

Code:
GPU#0 got incorrect share. If you see this warning often, make sure you did not overclock it too much...

Then I dont see the messages for a while, but, when the dev fee kicks in it switches pools, finishes and tries to pull from my configured pool, then I see the errors 4 or 5 tims again, then nothing for some time, rinse and repeat.

I noticed when claymore starts up it setting the -h parameter to 1800, looking at my hash rate per card it seems to hover around 745 - 748 H/s. Do I need to drop this -h parameter down a bit?

What is the recommended setting for the -h paremeter? I have 2 x AMD PowerColor Red Devil RX 580 Golden Sample with BBT modded BIOS applied, I obtained the BIOS from here.

Any thoughts/tips/suggestions much appreciated.

Use the 9.7 version of the miner. You may have to go back to an older version of the drivers it requires 15.12 drivers or at least it recommends them.

SOLVED: For some reason when you try to mine ETN with claymore 9.7 you can not use the config.txt or the epools.txt. You have to put all the flags in the same line inside the batch file. IF you do not it will crash the miner every single time! Makes absolutely no sense to me but I got it working now after 8 hours messing with this crap!!!

rx570 8g - i made bios that takes care of overclocking and undervolting, because i was diasappointed with how amd overclocking works on linux (it almost does not Cheesy )
eth only
windows 29.6Mh/s @ 105w
linux 29.2Mh/s @ 125w
power is card only not whole system, not gpu only.

Any idea why linux has worse performance and more power conspution? I run claymore with exact same parameters.

Anyone in contact whith the dev in the forum?

Since Nicehash is down Claymore dev fee is not able to contact the nicehash pool so claymore is craching....

Can be very cool if the dev can remove Nicehash pool.

Well Im slowing diving into mining. Starting with this miner.

My main question is just what sort of Hashrate should i be getting with a stock Sapphire R9 290? Currently I am only getting an average of 115H/s with it.  before I go playing with settings and things just trying to get some sort of baseline on what to expect. The temp on the card reads a constant 40C at all times

Im also running the CPU miner and a I5-4660K (not overclocked) is getting an average of 220H/s

Some benchmarks from different users help to understand what performance you should have.

So the miner tries to restart and here are the lines that are not in the same state than previous starting :

 card 0, m1 748, m2 512 w 288
 0 m = 0
Bad performance mode, you need to set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

OpenCL error 0 #101a - -61, cannot create GPU memory buffer

Here is what I can read for the first start :
Code:
GPU #0: Ellesmere, 8055 MB available, 36 compute units
 card 0, m1 8055, m2 4048 w 288
 0 m = 2
 GPU #0 algorithm ASM, -h 1800, -dmem 1 (Memory used: 7560MB)

I tried with overclocked bios, with stock ones, tried to remove -dmem 1, tried with other pools... Still the same error... Last week with exactly the same args, I had no problem... I thonk it's due to devfee mining pool but I'm not sure, I have to use -nofee 1 for the moment but I'd prefer find a solution...

Oups I forgot, I mine electroneum ETN with that card

i have a one question

last night my Rig amd rx 570 making 170 electroneum and they was sending on my wallet, i checking and is a out my wallet if you can tell me how i can check where is it my money and how much time i need for a waiting
thanks for helping and sorry for a my bad english

You might be better off asking this question in the Electroneum thread, I'm sure you would get an answer here but there is a chance you will get a quicker reply in this thread.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2353282.1920

Some details to add to your post which will help; which pool are you on, what wallet are you using, are you minging directly to an exchange or to the command line wallet .

Thanks, it worked. But now I get errors for all 6 GPU's reporting GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4.

Any suggestions?

Set virtual mem equal to amount of ram all cards have added together. So 6 4gb you need 24gb pagefile. 8gb you need 48gb pagefile.  Also try to add -h 1024 to your startup command. Add -dmem 0 if above doesn’t work
