on my
7990 and 7950 (6&3 gb) i geth OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU
r7 370 (2 gb) i geth OpenCL error - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions
but i have a 380 (2gb) this works smoothly

why my r7 370&7990&7950 it does not work anymore Claymore?

You need to set the virtual memory to be 16GB or higher.

is already set a value greater than 16 gb

I mined ETH, then switched to ZEC for the last 2 months, and now when I try switching back to ETH does not work anymore

Someone has found the solution to this problem?

I dont think you can mine ETH or ETC any more with 2gb cards. DAG too big.

To verify, try EXP

But how about 3 & 6 GB card 7950&7990 still OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU

I tried both 7.4 and older versions .... same result  Sad

did you updated your graphic drivers ?

nope, everything is intact since switched to ZEC

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
Don't have any 480's, you just have to try them out yourself. As long as they are before Relive you should be OK.

exactly, key is pre-relive. ie anything 16.11.x or older. i have 16.9.1 myself.

It doesn't say which GPU... It crashes every 10-15 minutes and restarts. Speed is all over the place too Sad

6 x 480 4GB - All stock
Win 10 x64
Drivers 16.12.2

Full log: http://pastebin.com/SJyVUavi

Stability issues on Relive drivers for mining algos - you may want to go back to previous drivers before Relive.

I only built this rig yesterday so just grabbed newest drivers, Which drivers would you recommend?

Thanks

my 2 gb 380 nitro is still mining eth in a win7 rig. it only will mine in a 3 or more card rig though.

may depend on card position, manufacturer and/or driver version.

Weird.
All my rigs with 2gb cards cant create DAG.. no matter what miner i use.
They do mine EXP fine tho... but not ETH/ETC

Card position shouldnt affect dag size

i wouldnt think so either.

it wont create dag when its 2nd gpu in 2 gpu system. but it will as 3rd/4th in 3/4 cards system. at least under win7.

only thing i can think of is win7 reserves some part of a 2nd cards memory even if not being used for display. but will ignore any cards after that.

doesnt make much sense to me either but as long as it mines im cool with it.

hmmm ive little problem , i cannot understand it , ive 2x rings (one with 3x gpu , and one with 4x gpu ) , in both of them i put my eth adres , and at the end i gave the rig name (ethwallet.pc1 and pc2) after some time the pool only recognized 1 worker , i tried again to rename them and again after some time still 1 worker , ) the 2 x rigs are working fine , i removed now the name and just let ethwallet alone but in pool i only see 88 reported hashrate , in fact ive 203-205 mhs

any help

EDIT : i put rig names in batch  file , not in config file , maybe this is the problem ?

edit2: solved ... i put names in config file and it seems fine now

hit a strange problem today. my rig with 3x 290's and 1x 280 starts mining ok but after a while the hash rate on all cards drops to 0 and the rig still works with all card hot? i have to hard reboot the rig. it's win 7 64 bit with 15.12 drivers. any ideas please??

Most likely cause is your graphics drivers have got corrupted, you'll need to re-install them.

Miner runs for while, display drivers crashes then Windows 7 recovers and Claymore continues running at 0 hash.

what is goot to mine as second coin ?

sia bearly cover energy cost

Decred or Lbry ??

IMHO you should avoid dual mining right now. As you said it simply covers energy increase costs, that being said, you are simply stressing your GPU more without a gain.

I'm currently mining only ETH.
Even though in the last few hours $ gain is dropped because of BTC value drop
