Am I doing something wrong? I see many people here running 6 X RX480 on the BTC PRO MB and Win7 and Win10, I have the same setup using powered risers and with 6 cards can't even get to post. Most I got working is 4 cards. I have the MB running 295 X2 GPU, 3 of them for a total of 6 GPU's fine, but no dice with the 480's. Am I missing something?

How many GPU's do you have on device manager and what are their status?

Are you using powered risers?  They are needed if running more than 2... maybe 3 cards.  The MB can only supply ~150W to PCIe slots.  Cards can draw up to 75W from the slot (though 66W or less is more recommended...).  It would be an issue, especially if using 6 pin rather than 8 pin PCIe power connector 480s.

Yep, all 6 cards are using powered risers. 2 risers per SATA PSU cable. Using a EVGA 1600. I've used these risers on 295x2 so I know the risers are good. Same MB and risers rig, just 480 cards. Will not post so can't even troubleshoot further.

Hi Claymore!

At first - seems that it some built-in temp hysteresis parameter, what was set to 4 degr. At example on my rig, when tt limit set to 65 degr., and temp reach this value, fan begin work on 100%. And it continue working on 100%, till temp downs to 61 degr. It would be fine, if there were active option for temp hysteresis, which user can set manually for better configuration rigs.
And second: are you planning to add static interface, like cgminer or sgminer? When I looking on moving, from down to top, lines with different colours, I worry that I will get epileptic fit Grin. But seriously, moving lines is anachronism from standart ethminer. It's time to make normal static interface.

Static interface would be nice!!!

Honestly, I prefer the scrolling Cheesy
I would prefer static interface, though currently I like Claymore better than Genoil, it has colors, and better formatting, perhaps it could be an option?  Or some sort of hybrid static/scrolling.

I am having a problem with one of my rigs it is crashing all the time (sometimes I have to disconnect the power to all GPUs, uninstall the onboard graphics, and then connect the power to all cards again before rebooting the PC to get the PC to boot, and sometimes I even get THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER error message when trying to boot the PC), and I did find out that if I turn off GPU 5 it seems to work better and not crashing.
I am running in Windows 10 x64 with Sappire Radeon RX 480, and I did try different drivers without any luck. And I got the same clock settings on all cards (I am running 4 more RX480 on another machine and that one did not crash one single time in over 3 weeks) This is how the logfile looks right before the crash if I run with GPU 5 on...

Miners developer
Claymore, could you do some ethman modification: let ethman show "off" instead gpu temperature of those cards, wich was switched off by max temp reached or another reason

Ok, will be added in next update.

Guys, how to decrease GPU load or some other setting in order to use PC for other stuff (surfing, movies, etc)?  Huh

I am using this code atm - ethdcrminer64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal X -esm 2 -epsw X -etha 0 -ethi 20 -estale 0 -allpools 1

My GPU load is 99-100%, MCU load - 90-93%

Is there a way to do it on the fly? Or do I have to ctrl+C the claymore miner all the time I want to run a change in command line code?

P.S. I am running gtx 970 in P0 mode at ~3900MHz memory clock with ~19MH/s

try -li 10  or more

That's what did the trick, thank you, I got the same advice from the dev.

Been playing with some of the more advanced features of the miner.
Temp control, voltage control, etc.
One of my 4 cards gives me this error, how to fix this?

Failed to set new Power Control treshold for GPU #0

Card #0 = a AMD 280x by the way.
Running at Crimson 16.3.2 driver by the way.

Default ethi is 8, lower is less load, you have it higher....  You can't change ethi or li on the fly (you can change dcri on the fly though...), but you could make 2 bat files...  I mine on 470s, I can run them full out dual mining, and not even notice while working, watching movies etc.  When had a 970 as display card though, it would lag the desktop while mining, not sure why the amd cards I have used don't lag.  I can even (accidentally) mine on my cheap dual core APU without lag.  If you have an APU, or Intel CPU with graphics, plug into that....

Thank you for your time and advice, I found solution with the help of the dev by using -li. That did a nice, fine and silky job ;]

My PC stutters while mining thats why I use -ethi 4 or even -ethi 1, lower hashrate but everything works fine. I doubt you can play games while mining at full speed, normally gpu usage is 99%+, with ethi 1 its 95%, that remaining 5% won't be enough for games. I'm using dcri 80 so maybe with dcri 20, you could play some games.

yes, thank you for your time and possible solutions in my issue, i got them nailed. Gaming is out of the question or else I need to drop hashrate even further.

I can't get DCR to mine. Based on what I do in the config, dpools, and start files I either get "DCR: Authorization failed" on startup with all my shares rejected or I just hash at 0 for DCR

Try this:

Claymore command for merged ETC + DCR:
ethdcrminer64.exe -epool etc-eu.suprnova.cc:3333 -ewal suprnova.1 -epsw x -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal suprnova.1 -dpsw x -allpools 1

Will make you mine ETC at first and DCR as second coin, both on suprnova, make sure you have an account and worker set up. (https://dcr.suprnova.cc)

So I run this as my batch file with with exactly that as listed on the dcr.suprnova.cc page. Do I edit my wallet address over the "1" in the "-dwal suprnove.1"?

Also it would seem that eth mining worked with my current ethermine.org in the batch file. I just want to make sure that it isn;t a necessity to run both of those on the suprnova pools.

Do I just use suprnova.1 in the batch file and the decred wallet in the config? Far as suprnova I made a worker but I do not know what to do with that.

edit:
I think I get it. supernova.1 is supposed to be my pool username.workername. Figured it out while trying to get LBRY mining working. I read that there is improper fan and power controls for nvidia dual mining right now so I will get back to this later.
